I got a haircut and a shave yesterday. The haircut was good, but the stylist kept checking their phone at random intervals without explaining why (maybe they had an emergency with a family member, or a priority communication they had to handle). I also got a shave, which is advertised on the 18/8 website as "straight-razor full-face shaving", for $53.00. The finishing of the shave at the 18/8 Salon was conducted by an electric razor. There were parts of my face that had no evidence of a straight-razor shave, that I had to shave afterwards with my own razor. In total, I paid $106.00 - a majority of which was for the "straight-razor shave".

I paid $70 for a haircut that lasted about 25 minutes and felt rushed. The stylist was friendly, but the quality of the cut didn't justify the price. It was uneven, and I had to fix parts of it myself. There was no transparency about the cost upfront, so I was shocked to find out the price afterwards. I recommend checking the prices before booking to avoid surprises.

For the prices the quality of work could be better. Might have been better off at a Great Clips. Go at your own risk. For an "upscale" experience I would go elsewhere.

Best place for a haircut, hands down! Ask for Mitra. She does a fantastic job and is super pleasant. You will not find a better barber than Mitra. She has been cutting my hair for years, and there is no reason to go anywhere else.

Good afternoon, This is the second haircut that I get from 18/8 that you all have screwed up and more than likely the last. The haircut prior to this one no matter how much I told him I wanted taken off from the guy took it upon himself to give me what he wanted, it was so messed up that the young lady at the front even apologized and offered my next haircut as a complimentary (which I didn't get today). I made an appointment today to get my "complimentary" haircut, i waited 10 minutes after my allotted start time, Shortly after sitting down ,the woman cutting my hair seemed like she knew what she was doing...until she started cutting the sides without separating the top. She literally took 13 minutes to cut my hair. When she asked to fix my haircut I told her to stop, not once did she use the scissors to fix what she messed up. I am glad that Martha was there to fix my hair. Martha went above and beyond to fix the mess. To recap...REBECCA should not be cutting hair there, she should not be charging what she does for the quality of service she gave me. Why wasn't I given the complimentary haircut from the previous lackluster service I received last haircut. Thank goodness Martha for being there, she's obviously the master stylist there.

I want to start by saying this review is NOT of the stylist. Mitra was amazing and cut my hair exactly as I wanted it. The review is for the fact I paid for the executive haircut package, did not receive the executive haircut package, but was still charged for an executive haircut package. I even double-checked my online booking and it confirmed my selection. I don’t know if there was a breakdown in communication, but it is disappointing to be charged for something you did not receive.

I've been going to this location for a little a less than a year now. I always get a reservation with Metra, who has been great with my hair. The only negative comment I would have is that, understanding the location is at the Rim (rent must be relatively expensive for the business), it may not be the best, "bang for the buck," and wish the location provided some additional services for how much it charges for the haircut, however, nevertheless, I highly recommend my stylist!

Ive gotten 3 haircuts here from 2 different barbers at different price points. Ive had one good hair cut, one okay and one pretty lousy cut. Ended up having to get the most recent one fixed two days later (somewhere else) because it was for a wedding. Id look somewhere else.

Mitra is always so nice and detailed oriented. I recently moved to Houston and I still drive from there to have her cut my hair . I highly recommend her . The other staff is great and very engaging .

The best barber I've ever been to. Not only is the hair cut well done, but the environment is top tier. Usually, I hate going to barber shops because they can be stressful - long waits, lots of people, obnoxious music and, my number one pet peeve, barbers having conversations amongst themselves slowing down my haircut. This place is extremely professional, punctual and incredibly relaxing. My favorite is the semi private booths they cut your hair in. I have no issues paying a little extra than usual for a haircut knowing that my experience will be this relaxing every time.

Brought my husband in as a treat, since he does not usually go to a salon for haircuts, and Rebecca took great care of him! He was super nervous, but it went great. He really enjoyed the experience and his hair cut looks awesome!

Did not find it an experience that I would repeat. My hairstylist did not have much of a personality. The haircut cost $43 dollars that only took him a total of about 13 minutes to just layer, wash, hot towel and put a little product in, which he never told me what it was or even said what would be the best for my hair because I have thinning hair. I ask him to take an inch off the bottom and that if he could blow dry and style, he said nothing. He wrapped a towel on my face, which was nice, but then told me he didn't have time to blow dry. I was 6 minutes late to the appointment because GPS will not take you to the location which should have been told to me when I called to make the appointment. I believe $43 dollars is reserved for the top hair stylist which I have been to many and this did not qualify. Let's just say that Sport Clips was more engaging and 1/2 the price. I did tip him 20% but normally I tip 50% for my haircuts just to keep this in perspective. Maybe there was not much to talk about because I have thin hair but I did not feel like he wanted me back as a customer so I will not be.
