I have not been to a salon in years…I don't trust most who say they can do natural hair. I booked an appointment to get a curly perm (my hair is thick and long, maintenance is too much, and I need to stop putting my hair in braids so frequently). My appointment was with Shamire. She did an excellent job. She and the salon owner explained the entire process before even starting and told me what products to get after to maintain my hair. This has been THE BEST salon experience I have ever had. Highly recommended.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I arrived to my appointment today which was scheduled at 2:30pm on time and was told that they moved my appointment to 1:00pm and was cancelled. When attempting to show the stylist my appointment confirmation and no changes were made, she ignored me. As I stated in my way out, do not charge my card as I arrived on time for this appointment and have no notifications or messages stating this appointment was moved. I will not be returning, obviously.

I had an excellent experience with 2 The Max beauty salon! The quality of the service was outstanding; the salon owner Maxine(Max) and stylist is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable. Ms. Maxine went the extra mile to help educate me about the condition of my hair and offered practical advice and guidance to enhance and sustain the quality of my hair. I value and appreciate the courteous and stellar service I received and look forward to returning again very soon. I had a wonderful experience with Maxine at 2 the max salon, I didn’t know exactly what I needed or wanted, she was very kind and helped me, she explained why my hair was possibly shedding, she recommended vitamins to take, her patience was awesome, I felt like I should hug her after the appointment. We don’t know what to do with our hair, she was so helpful. Thanks Mac I will be back.

A miracle was worked on my hair today! I had my hair in locs for 2 years and combed them out myself. My hair was dry, tangled, matted, there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Ms. Maxine and the other young ladies have the Magic touch! The three of them detangled my hair. Yes, 3. If you saw my hair you would know why it took 3! I didn’t want all of the dead ends cut to avoid losing so much hair in one go. I had a wash, blow dry, detangle, straighten and trim. (Silk press). I feel bad they had to deal with my hair but they made it happen. My hair is is MUCH better now. I will continue going here monthly to get an inch trimmed off. The price is great! If you come here you WILL NOT be disappointed!

I came in wanting to do a low cut and was very nervous, but I was comforted by all three ladies in the salon. Mrs. Max was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She was very sweet and made sure I was satisfied with every step. I’m rocking my low cut right now and definitely couldn’t stop looking at my hair on my way out! 10/10 recommend!

I love this salon! So glad my daughter referred me to 2 The Max Salon. I got a silk press from Jamila. Let me tell you all the stylist in there are doing some hot so it doesn’t matter whose seat you are in. Ladies if you have natural hair or any hair, this is the salon for you. I definitely found a new salon home. Thank you Jamila for doing a great job on my hair and thank you Max for your sweet spirit, ambience and wine:)

This establishment is very unprofessional and lacks proper customer service. I successfully scheduled an appointment through this salons booking page. When I arrived at my appointment I was informed I no longer had an appointment because they were double booked. The owner was persistent in stating I was the problem for not answering my phone the day of. I was called twice by this establishment with no voicemail left. When I looked up the number from the missed call, it did not come back as the salon. Since scam calls are at an all time high, I did not feel the need to return the call. There was no way for me to know this missed call was from their salon. They also tried explaining the system overbooking my appointment with another after mentioning my missed calls. The owner was more concerned with deflecting and proving excuses than taking ownership over them handling the situation wrong. Though I understand issues arise, this was not the proper way to handle the situation. They should have left a voicemail so I was aware and return their phone call or they could have simply canceled my appointment instead of letting me come in expecting to get my hair done. I was referred to this salon by a friend and I am highly disappointed.

This was my first, and definitely NOT my last time, receiving services from this business. The appointment booking was easy, efficient and fast. I was able to get an appointment, with NO PROBLEM, and they even called me when there was a cancellation, and asked me if I wanted to come earlier! I thought that was very amazing and thoughtful. The stylist, Ms. Max, was very pleasantly professional and gentle. She knew exactly how I wanted my hair, and I love the results. I’m forever grateful to have found a stylist I can trust to keep my hair looking beautiful, and helping me stay beautiful. God Bless. 💯💝

Went to get my dreads colored and styled and I am very satisfied. Definitely going back again. They also shampooed and conditioned my dreads and then 2 strand styled them.

I visited this salon today and my hair came out absolutely beautiful! The stylist was very honest with me about my ends being trimmed and she also gave very helpful tips on taking care of 3C/4A hair and a great conversation. 10/10 DO RECOMMEND
