I have been going to Krisi for years now and she has never let me down. It doesn't matter what shade of blonde, style, or cut I want, she always gets it right. I don't even need to come in with pictures, I just come in with a messy jumble of words to describe what I want, and she just gets me. I moved away from Portland and am still coming back to see her because she's so worth it. Not to mention, she is so kind, funny, down to earth and a blast to talk to. I cannot recommend her enough!!

I moved to Portland 6 years ago and finallyyyy found my match in the hair industry. Krisi Vaughn at 220 salon has got it all. Color? Done. She’s a pro. Cut? Done. She will work with your face shape, your wishes for what you want, and help guide you into the hair cut of your dreams. Styling? She’s got it down! Before meeting Krisi, I had really long and thick dark brown hair. I wanted to go blonde and incorporate a shag cut and she gave me exactly what I pictured for myself. Just left my second appointment with her, we added a bit more blonde and blended things out, and freshened up the fringe and face framing—I feel so confident! We’ve discussed what else I want to do in the ever-long journey of hair dreams and I know Krisi sees my vision and am confident her skills will get me there. Beyond her skillful tactics, Krisi is sweet and hilarious and will make you feel safe and seen. Highly recommend booking her for your next appointment.

I've been blonding my hair for awhile and have had issues achieving a consistent tone — so one day I approached a woman on the street whose bleached-blond hair looked amazing, and asked her where she got hers done. Extremely grateful she referred me to Alise at 220 Salon. I do a full highlight and am always thrilled with the results. Excited to try balayage this spring/summer. It feels great to be in such capable hands!

Krisi Vaughn is the best! She’s been doing my hair for years, and always does an amazing job. Whether my hair is short, long, blonde, or working back to my natural color, Krisi has always been able to execute exactly what it needed and what I was wanting. She’s the only person I trust to do my hair, and I recommend her to anyone lacking a hair dresser they feel they truly connect with!

Arin is absolutely amazing! He always goes above & beyond to bring my hair to its very best every time. Arin is an expert in color & color correction, has an eye for detail & is very knowledgeable about hair health & care. I am so grateful to have found Arin & 220 Salon, I won’t go to anyone else - Best in Portland hands down!

Fantastic salon with great decor. The open floor plan enhances the space and made my appointment even more relaxing. It's very clean and in a good location. All stylists seem very talented and helpful.

I had a fantastic experience. Check in was friendly. Al was communicative and so knowledgeable and took the time to help me figure out what I wanted. The space is nice. I would definitely recommend Al and this salon.

Got the most perfect cut from jocelyn. She asked what I wanted and truly delivered. also a joy to be around, which is crucial for longer cuts or coloring LETS BE REAL. Will be back when i’m in the area again and in need.

I’ll admit I’ve never been to 220 Salon in Portland, BUT I’m coming here to rave about Jocelyn Higuera, one of their stylists! I found her a couple years ago in New York City, and she’s one of the best stylists I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. She’s sweet, talented, and down to experiment while also keeping it real and accurately listening to your needs. I’ve had three different people cut my hair the last three times.Finding a stylist who listens to understand has been impossible. I’ve never been to this salon, but took a chance and it paid off. Jocelyn will take the time and ask questions to genuinely understand what you’re looking for. I’m always skeptical leaving the salon because ofc your hair looks good, so the true test is when you’re left to styling it on your own.lol And 10/10 this passes without any of the salons styling products; such a great cut! Originally booked here bc it was a convenient location for me, but continue to rebook bc the stylists here are wonderful and so talented! I am super lucky to have booked with Sydney! She is personable, super fun and easy to chat with, really listens to what you want, making sure to clarify and ask questions before beginning to work her magic. I’m used to dark colors, so when I walked in, I had a vision of lighter and brighter hair, lived in color that my natural hair (and little baby greys) can vibe with as it grows out - and I walked out of there with just that! Recommend 220 Salon, two-fold!

It’s been over three and a half years since I went into a salon and I’m so grateful and glad that I chose Jocelyn Higuera and 220 Salon for my return to the world of good hair. Jocelyn’s a lovely, charming person and I haven’t felt this good leaving a salon in probably decades. The salon is airy and beautiful and I will absolutely be returning. Thank you for being so welcoming and taking such good care of my overgrown mane. ♥️

Got a text this morning at 8am from my stylist Alyssa saying she has Covid and needs to cancel my appointment today, and can fit me in next week. I understand people get sick, but this was 7 hours before my appointment, it would have been way more professional to at least give me 24 hours notice. There’s no way she didn’t know she was sick the day before. You don’t just wake up with Covid. Now I’m trying to find an open full blonding appointment on a Friday because I needed my hair done for this weekend.

I moved up to Portland from the San Francisco Bay Area earlier this year. I had been a decades long devotee of my stylist, and I was nervous about finding a new one. I hit the jackpot with Alyssa at 220 Salon. Alyssa is a genius. I’ve never been more satisfied and Happy with anyone’s work before! I love the way she cuts and colors. So many compliments come my way!!

Nikki styled my hair as a guest for an outdoor wedding in the July heat and did a wonderful job! My hair looked great, kept me cool, and lasted all night without issues. The salon is beautiful, bright, and open, and Nikki was skilled and quick, able to get me out with a full updo in just under an hour. Would definitely recommend

The atmosphere is great but Ally Bond is the reason I come here. She is such a talented hairdresser who brings so much skill and expertise to her work. I've been seeing her longer than I've ever seen a stylist before and I'll probably do so until I'm old and gray. Not only is she a great stylist but she is also super fun to talk to. You will never be bored! She does the best extensions. :)

Amanda at 220 cuts my hair like a dream! She has a great handle of fine hair, but I know that she also cuts SO many hair types. I’m still practicing how to best mimic the blowouts/styling she does that really showcases it as a 12/10 cut, but even air drying with some salt spray it looks EPIC! She took me from no bangs>bangs, which was a big change and it’s been very manageable. Very glad I found her!

Nikki was amazing! She knew exactly what I wanted and was so patient and thorough. We did all over blonde and I walked away feeling 100% satisfied and excited about my new color! The salon itself is beautiful and very inviting to all. I highly recommend their services, especially Nikki who was so warm and inviting. After moving to the area recently I was overwhelmed with options but after a friend recommended 220 Salon, I knew I had found my new salon!

Very disappointing. I booked an appointment asking the stylist / salon to reach out and let me know if the special service I requested in the appointment notes was doable (I had contacted a few different places and they said they couldn’t do it, so I was worried this salon wouldn’t be able to do it either). There was zero communication. I heard nothing back, so I wanted to cancel. Don’t bother to call the number listed here, they do not answer their phone (I have called numerous times over the last couple of days). I finally tried to use the email function they have on their site. No response. 12 mins after my appointment started, I was contacted and told that I was late. Finally! I finally got a response. I was finally able to call the stylist now that they had texted me. They decided that although I had tried very hard to get ahold of them, it was worth it to lose a potential customer and take my money. $75 out of my bank because this business is incapable of communication. So ridiculous — never have I dealt with a business that does not answer their phone. I am sure that the business will reply to this comment saying that I should have emailed them sooner, however, with my disabilities it is extremely difficult to use my hands to type out emails. So phone calls are much easier to make for me and why I used that method to desperately try to get a hold of them. I look forward to their ablest response that tells me I should have typed out an email. Don’t list a phone number if it is not a method for communication. I am a patron of local salons and appreciate it when people treat you like a human and not a number. A little understanding here would have gone a long way and they would have gained a customer. Really sad when businesses do not have any compassion or grace for miscommunication.

Geri is an absolute goddess! I never want anyone else to cut my hair ever again. She is incredibly talented, fun, and I left feeling like a new person! The salon felt safe and clean and I didn't have to worry for a second about my safety while I was getting my cut. I cannot say enough good things about this salon and specifically Geri! I went to Elise for waxing and I can't say I've ever had a better time being waxed. I had never met her before and it was like drinking a glass of red wine with an old friend after a long day - refreshing, relaxing, and full of laughter. The waxing also looks great and is bump free! I'm thrilled with my experience!

My wife went to this salon for an appointment with Portland's rising star cosmetic tattoo artist Claire Tarinelli. I accompanied her to drop her off and check out the space. Great job 220 salon! Sunday afternoon and every chair was taken! These ladies are obviously doing something right. I was impressed with the ambiance/decor, very nice! Claire is an absolute Rock Star! She did an amazing job on my wife's eyebrows. 220 Salon's resident cosmetic tattoo artist is licensed, certified, and also internationally trained. Services include micro blading/cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows, lips, and, liner. A happy wife equals a happy life. Thank you 220 Salon Inc!
