I’ve come to Goya a few times because I’m trying to grow my hair longer after many many years of neglecting routine hair trims. I’m somebody who gets very nervous that someone will cut too much off because I’ve been burned in the past, but Goya is absolutely fabulous! She heard everything I had to say regarding what I was hoping for with my hair goals and has suggested lots of great products and also made sure to check in with me throughout to make sure I was fully on board with what she was doing! I plan on continuing to go to Goya as long as she’s here, she’s fabulous and so is 23rd street salon!

I cannot recommend 23rd street salon enough, my stylist was Vilma, and she’s hands down the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. From the moment I sat in her chair, she was kind, caring, and so genuinely enthusiastic about her craft. We talked the entire time, and she went above and beyond, not just giving me the most bombshell cut and blowout but also teaching me tips and tricks to style it myself at home. I asked for layering and a blowout, and she delivered perfection—my confidence skyrocketed the second I saw the final look, and you could see it in my face, gah!! The whole experience was refreshing and honestly healing in a way I didn’t expect. Vilma even added extra touches to make my hair flawless. For $130 (without tip), I got the full package: wash, cut, and blowout, and it was worth every single penny. I walked out of the salon feeling like a brand-new person. If you’re looking for a professional, talented, and passionate stylist, Vilma is absolutely the one to book. Although, I am sure that anyone at 23rd street salon is amazing. This was, without a doubt, the best salon experience I’ve ever had! 10/10 recommend and will be back :) wish I could post photos!! (Go to yep to see photo reviews)

I genuinely feel like a Karen posting bad reviews but this is truly a service to anyone going for hair color. Patricia (probably not her real name mind you she knew why I was asking for her name, so the older larger black-haired lady) ruineddddd my hair. By the looks of this place, you might be worried— I t’s like half a salon half a jewelry store so it doesn’t scream expertise but I tried not to judge. Was in a great mood when I got there. Four hours later, after she turned my hair the color of straw, to fire engine red, the dark brown, all in an effort to give me blonde highlights, I was nearly in tears. She was so nasty to me and it was such a horrible experience. I don’t know how this is so simple a process for some stylists and then just impossible for others, but when you mess up that much, at least be humble about it. I’ll def never be back, and if you’re going for color, I would run away. $350 for like 6 foils by a total amateur.

I got my hair cut this past Friday by Cynthia and she was amazing! I showed her reference pictures and she made sure to ask further questions to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. She saw the vision and executed perfectly!!! I could not stop looking at my hair and could not be happier with her work. A couple of days later and I still cannot stop raving about her to anyone who compliments the cut. I cannot wait to bring other loved ones so Cynthia can work magic on them as well!

Zeena is fabulous. She thoughtfully listened to what I had in mind and quickly went to work executing my vision for a bouncy new haircut. Vilma was amazing! She took the time to truly listen and understand what I wanted. I came in with a color issue, and her calm, caring approach made me feel so at ease. She explained every step and made sure we were on the same page. The results were better than I imagined—she completely fixed my color and made my hair look vibrant and healthy. I couldn’t be happier! Velma is a true expert who genuinely cares, and I highly recommend her! I stumbled upon this randomly and I was on a time constraint too, Vilma did a great job getting me to the dinner on time .

Incredible Blowout by Zina I came from Montreal to NYC and Zina gave me an amazing blowout that stayed flawless for three days! Her skills are top-notch, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend her!
