The staff here is incredibly kind & hardworking, however the blowouts here are really not up to par. I left without getting the style that I asked for (I showed a photo) and was below the average of what I have gotten throughout Chicago. They may be good in other aspects, but I would not recommend for a simple blowout.

I have been coming to this salon since 2010. I usually get a cut and partial highlights from Tim. He is unbelievably amazing… he is very talented, so much so that I have moved 4 hours away and still make a point to come back to see him at least once a year when I come to Chicago.

I've been coming here for about 4 years now and Milena not only rescued my hair when I first came to her, but she's kept it beautiful ever since with regular cuts and color. She helps keep my grays at bay and my hair healthy and lovely in general, including the occasional bayalage. Agnes and Maggie are also very kind and help me with any product that I may need...they have a great selection too.

Milena is the most talented and skilled hair stylist I've ever had! I have been going to her for 4+ years now and am always happy with the result. We recently built a hair plan for my wedding months in advance to achieve the perfect color and cut for my wedding day and it is just perfect. I constantly receive random compliments on my balayage from strangers and friends. She is a true gem, and truly cares. Go to her! The rest of the staff is also very welcoming and talented (Maggie styled my hair for an event and it turned out great). Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this salon. Every service I've gotten here has been amazing. I've recently been seeing Milena and she truly is an artist. She has transformed my hair and it's never looked better. I highly recommend this salon. You can tell that the people love what they do and it shows in their work. Thank you!

I recommend this place for hair, but not nail services. I had a positive experience getting a blow out. My manicure experience was a different story. The color selection was minimal for no chip, but that’s beyond the esthetician’s control. She cut me 4 times while using the nail file to smooth the top of the nails then also when doing my cuticles, which has never happened to me before. She left me to answer her personal cell phone and talk to her husband. When she started to apply the nail polish, it looked chunky so I pointed it out to her. She said it was too hard to soak off my previous no chip so she just left bits of it on. I should have just stopped the manicure at that point. There was nail polish all along my skin on the edges of the nails at the end. I had to ask her to remove that nail polish at the end. There are bubbles on the nails after they dried. I asked her to fix it and she said that was the best she could do so she couldn’t fix them. I’ve never had a more negative and painful experience getting a manicure.

I went today 8/15 around 7pm and I believe the women who cut my hair was Milena? She did such a great job and loved the hospitality I received from the moment I walked in! Can’t wait to be back!

My 11 year old desperately needed a haircut and 4 Elements had an opening available. Maggie greeted us with a warm welcome, offered us beverages (I had a glass of wine) and sat us right down in the salon chair to get to work. Nesi listened to everything my daughter wanted and did a first class job. She is a true expert and we will definitely come back to her! This salon has a great fresh vibe and is pristinely clean. I highly recommend it!

Ahhh... FINALLY!! In the before times, I used to get my hair and nails done like clockwork. I lost my stylist to COVID closures and had terrible luck replacing her. After much Googling, I chose 4 Elements and blindly booked online. I am thrilled with my results. Katalina was meticulous with my nails. I've never had a dry manicure and I am pleasantly surprised at how amazing my hands/nails look and feel. Mimi absolutely slayed my cut! I have very long, very curly hair and finding someone with experience who understands pattern is harder than finding a partner in this town! Mimi was also meticulous and so knowledgeable. I felt comfortable immediately and my hair looks amazing! Everyone working was happy to be there and that goes a long way when you're looking for a relaxing experience. I expected to pay more than I did for the quality and service I received. I will definitely be a regular. Thank you all for a 5 star experience!

Make sure to confirm pricing before your service begins. My partial highlights used to be $130. The main reason I went there. Today they decided it was $190 after my hair was done. The service is good but I won't give them any more referrals or be back. They should of honered the pricing I thought I was getting or met me half way. I was not informed of a price increase.

Beautiful salon and friendly environment. Katalina was my nail tech and she did a FABULOUS job on my no-chip manicure. She even took the time to perfect the design on each hand. I will definitely be coming back to see Katalina!

I was looking for someone for highlights and cut after moving to the neighborhood and landed in Milena’s chair…I’m so glad I did, because I walked in feeling blah and walked out feeling like a brand new version of me! She takes an almost scientific approach to the hair dyeing process and explained the color theory and what she was doing to update and fix some old dye lines in my hair (it’s been 6+ months since I got color or cut). Then she delivered a beautiful new coif that was better than I had even imagined I wanted. Don’t hesitate to see anyone at 4 Elements Salon!!

Agnes is the best stylist I have ever had. I will not go to anyone else! She has such good intuition and a great eye for what will look good. And is very easy to talk to, really sweet and interesting. I usually just give her a really general idea of what I'm looking for and say she can do what she thinks is beat. She's done an amazing job every time!

Daughter and I enjoyed our 1st visit where we each did a pedicure and facials (spa facial and kobido). Esthetician Mangda provided a wonderfully relaxing Kobido facial and a detoxing/cleaning facial for my daughter. Look forward to returning for more. Pedicures with Claudia were professional and our feet look and feel great. Definitely recommend a visit.

I cannot say enough amazing things about 4 Elements Salon & Spa! The owners, Agnes and Maggie, are so talented! They are always offering the latest, most cutting edge on-trend services and products. I counted and over the many years I’ve lived in Chicago I have tried 25 other hair salons. All others simply pale in comparison. Additionally, I have referred 20 friends and colleagues to 4 Elements, all of whom absolutely love the beautiful salon space, the amazing customer service, the conveniently located parking, hours, online booking and most of all the beautiful work they do there with hair! The prices are reasonable and they offer cash back rewards for loyal customers and for referrals. They went above and beyond during the pandemic to re-open safely following all CDC health and safety protocols. They did not forget about their clients and offered at home color kits which were a heaven send. I also love that the stylists are multi-talented and you can book all of your services together from color to cut to hair texture with the same stylist, on the same day, and do not have to wait around for one person to color and another to cut and another to blow dry, speaking of which, their blowouts are amazing a I must stop service before every trip I take out of town so that my hair looks amazing for days! I can never dry my hair and make it look nearly as good despite Agnes showing me many, many times so I just leave that to the expert! Lastly, I love feeling so welcomed there. They know upon my arrival I would enjoy a glass of wine and to peruse some celebrity gossip magazines while in the chair to pass the time. Agnes is not only my stylist but frankly my therapist and friend at this point having known her for so many years! I love and so appreciate the time, attention, level of detail and perfectionism she puts into all of her work. As an aside, she is so passionate about animal rescue and gives back to many animal shelters and has dogs she has rescued from Third World countries left on the street to die and she brings them home and gives them a life and a family. This speaks to the size of her heart and the quality of her character! Definitely go to 4 Elements you will not be disappointed!

I have been going to 4 Elements since they opened over a decade ago...and you could not pay me ANY amount of money to trust my tresses (the amazing Ricky Brady!) or nails (Iryna & Claudia) to anyone other than the team at 4E... Highly recommended!

I started going to 4 Elements in 2012 when I briefly lived in the West Loop. Nine years later, I travel from Evanston to the salon. Tim Jack is the best hairdresser I have ever had. The spa is state of the art. Ownership is 2 sisters who work very very very hard.

I've been using 4 Elements on an almost-weekly basis for more than a year, and have used many of their services. The staff are skilled and very warm people who take an interest in life. They routinely go out of their way to make the service is best possible experience and provide excellent self-care advice and recommendations. I wouldn't go anywhere else for service!
