Booking process was easy. All stylists are very friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. The salon had a steady flow of clients coming in. My service was excellent. New to the area, so I think I found my place. It's great to see a full-service salon n these days. Clean, modern, quality products. I came in for a wave nouveau. I was pleased with the outcome. 5 stars.

have had my hair natural for some years now and have always been nervous about getting a silk press cause I thought it would damage my hair. I got my hair done by Mardia and she did such an awesome job. Not only did she do a great job but she explained to me about what she was doing and walked me through the process. It’s been about 2 weeks now and my hair is back to its natural coiliness like it’s supposed. I’ll definitely be going back for coloring and a trim. Thank you so much Mardia!

Extremely unprofessional, unhygienic and poor quality of service for the price they charge. Not true for what they offer or say. Not worth even a single penny. Don’t communicate about the service changes probably.

I was planning to make an appointment but am skeptical now. The receptionist cut me off and hung up on me. I hope this is not reflective of their service although the comments here are positive regarding the service. Please encourage your receptionist to do better.

This salon was the first I’ve tried in Philly and I don’t need to go anywhere else. The atmosphere was very warm and I felt welcomed in. I was helped promptly by Ervin who consulted me about my hair and scalp before I even made it to the sink. It is very clear that they care about natural hair here and I left feeling amazing!

i had mardia and she did such a wonderful job. She, along with the whole staff and customers in the shop made me feel so welcome and comfortable. It was my first experience at a salon, and my first professional haircut in over 3 years, so i was quite nervous going in. But the professionalism and knowledge mardia provided was unmatched!! I left the shop feeling so giddy lol. Definitely coming back

10 out of 10. Walking in the door, I received warm hellos from the Salon dream team. Ervin T. was the man with the magic hands. My locs were thoroughly cleansed, then appropriately moisturized. We discussed my preferences for styles along with wonderful suggestions for at home maintenance. The ambiance was relaxing with smooth neo-soul and r&b flowing. When it was time to take a look at myself, I felt my cheeks stretch wide from the internal joy. So often we hear about Salons and Stylists that overcharge and under perform. Well that's not the case at 46th St. Hair Salon. They provide the perfect environment to adjust your crown and experience true self care. Got my hair cut, bleached, and dyed here a few weeks ago. Absolutely loved how it turned out. The owner, Mardia did my hair. She’s very professional and really knows about hair. She let me know what was happening during the process, guided me on the aftercare and everything. As a first time client this place was great!!

This was my first time visiting 46th Street Hair Salon. I came here based on reviews and I’m glad I did. I got a silk press from Mardia, who did an excellent job from start to finish. Before beginning, she explained the service to me and what to expect. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I loved the final results; my fine 4c hair came out so smooth, shiny, and with body. She trimmed only what was needed without going overboard with the scissors. My hair still feels good a week later. Best hair salon experience I’ve had so far. I will definitely be a regular customer.

I feel like my locs looked the same when I left as when I arrived. They didn’t tend to them or do anything special. I’ve been doing my locs myself so I expected them to look different at the salon but I will stick to doing them myself.

I was a client of Mardi prior to this location (South Philly) and back then she didn't disappoint. Well I made my way back and again she did not disappoint. The salon is my type of environment. The staff was nice and friendly. Everyone got down to business. All work, no play, with great conversation. I love my hair (rod set). I may have found my forever curl home. I am trying to get away from braids and I needed to find a stylist that does natural hair (no direct heat). I can't wait to try the other natural styles.

The ladies are nice they hve good customer service even took me at the last minute . However I left because the style I wanted was $150… to me it was not going to be worth it because my cap was already started wrong . I was getting a blunt cut with a bang . Your supposed to cut it after you put the hair in . I’d waste $85 but not that much …

This is my second visit with Mardia as my stylist. I always get a press and curl and am happy to say that the 46th St Hair Salon LLC will be my permanent salon from now on. My hair feels so silky and I can't tell you just how please I am. The salon has a very friendly staff that are just like family. Thank you Mardia!
