I went in wanting a shape and a trim. The back was shaven. there was hardly any hair on my back of my head. The front Was left super long because I asked them to. Why did she cut my hair so short in the back? I looked so weird. Had to wait 2 1/2 months for it to get long enough to go in and have a very nice haircut, I must’ve been delusional because I tipped her well. Disappointed.

This is a correction from my services yesterday. I am totally pleased with the results of my hair color and other processes. My fingers slipped, causing this review to be published. Please know the professional personnel and the relaxing atmosphere is a satisfying experience.

I really enjoyed my visit. Segria did my silk press. It was last minute but they were able to take in less than an hour. She worked quickly but thoroughly. I had to cut some off due to split ends but I'm glad that she was very knowledgeable and patient. The total was $90 which is reasonable. Thanks Gria!

I found my new barber/hair salon and Esther as my stylist. I have been looking for a new place in south loop or Hyde park and researched several places. Decided to give 57th a shot. It was easy phone call to make a reservation for the next day, Esther was super nice and truly showed her experience and skills cutting my hair. She was fast and able to cut my hair to blend my hairline and my annoying cowlick. Really enjoyed my experience and definitely coming back and will be bringing my son as well. Edit. Skip is awesome as well. They have been cutting my son’s hair now, they do excellent job!

Found this salon as I was scrolling through places in Hyde Park and decided to give it a shot because it was close by and I was long overdue for a haircut. Esther knew exactly what I wanted and listened to my wishes about length and style. Couldn't have asked for better service. Would most definitely recommend!

Very good value. The salon is very clean and the owners are very welcoming. Parking was also easy when I was there at about noon.

Amazing atmosphere and outstanding hair dresser. I forgot her name only because I am terrible w names but she had long beautiful braids and recently started this month. I came in with a disaster on my head from another salon. I thought there was no fixing it and she made magic! I will definitely be back and honestly I'd want to go back to her! I cannot give enough praise to her excellence. I did make an appointment but I witnessed walk ins that didn't have a long wait time. Prices are average but the service is above!

Been here three times, sometimes it's great, other times OK or not so good. Price is nice relative to other places in the area. Esther is probably the best.

Joy has cut my hair twice and done a fabulous job! I took several pictures with me of what I wanted but she politely and honestly told me that they would not look the same with my curly hair. So, she modified it to suit my hair and both times the cut turned out great! Paid tip in cash.

Staff was very nice, but I went in for a trim and way too much hair was removed. I went in as a 25 year old man with hair almost touching my shoulders and left with the bob hair cut of a twelve year old girl. I paid $30 for a shampoo and ten minutes of removing the past year of growth. Hair has no texture and no layers. Super dissapointed.

They did a great job with my hair. They clearly know how to do men's styles for a college-aged generation. I booked an appointment online, paid and tipped by card.
