Eliot completely transformed my hair! I came in for a light brown balayage + haircut with layers and he found a balance between my hair goals and his hair wisdom. Coming from someone with naturally dark roots, I still left the salon with such soft, vibrant, and healthy hair. I got helpful hair care tips along the way. I’m so happy I could support this small business and am now a loyal customer!

After an amazing first haircut from Eliot in the spring, I just had to come back for more! His impeccable attention to detail transforms a regular haircut into a work of art. the girl Tee is very unprofessional she left my head halfway done, then never came back to finish it. no call or anything…Would not recommend for locs, braids, wigs, ect

Eliot is so good at what he does! He fixed a few mistakes my last hairdresser made and made my hair look more natural and graceful again. Some hairdressers churn out the same haircut for everyone but you can tell Eliot puts thought into each haircut and makes sure your haircut is tailored for you. He has an eye for it! The vibe of the salon is also so cute and cozy— not to mention their sweet dog Moose!

I had an amazing experience at 707 Hair Studios! I received a men's haircut from Eliot and he gave me the exact cut I wanted. I came in with a couple reference photos and he absolutely locked in. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience and I look forward to coming in again!

I moved to Chicago 6 months ago and after struggling to find a good place to get my hair cut finally walked into 707 and glad I did. Eliot gave me the best non-“curly cut” curly cut experience I’ve ever had. I didn’t pay 2x the price of a “normal” haircut just because I have curly hair, which so many places like to do🥲 but he had such an attention to detail and listened to my concerns so well so that he got it right, and he nailed it. I’ve gotten so many compliments and my curls are so happy. I’ll come back to 707 from San Francisco for haircuts going forward :)

I had a really good experience here yesterday! I just moved to Chicago and I’m always really nervous to find a new hair stylist. I’ve seen Tara for about two years at this point and she’s the absolute best! A great communicator about style, color, cut, and maintenance as well as how different products work. Forever grateful for her help in nursing my hair back from the brink (18 months of bleach and tone). She’s also just fun to be around; I always love getting to see her for the conversation as well as the hair care!

Tara Berkich always does a wonderful job cutting my hair. I am very picky about haircuts, so finding someone in Chicago was difficult at first, but since Tara started cutting my hair I haven't had it cut by anyone else. She is very receptive to what I'm looking for, while also being willing to offer helpful suggestions about what will look best. Highly recommend!

When I first moved to Chicago, I was so nervous about finding a new hair stylist! As a fake blonde of many years, finding someone who understands what you want and eventually almost read your mind is almost impossible. Then, I found Tara at 707 and we instantly clicked. She has been able to follow my interests from bright blonde to trying my natural brown color, then a month later bleaching it back to blonde, all while maintaining my hair health. I love her so much I made my boyfriend start to go to her for his haircuts, and now my best friend sees her for color and extensions. She is such a genuine person, and knows how to read the room and interpret your vibe that day which is crucial for a hair dresser (you don’t have to talk the entire time if you don’t want to!). Long story short- HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I’m so glad I chose this shop. I haven’t been to a salon in a long time. After growing out my hair for a little over a year from a very short cut, I really needed a trim. I am a guy with curly hair (a surprise to me) and didn’t know what to do with it. Eliot gave me a great cut and showed me how to care for my hair and how to style it. Thanks all! I’ll be back for my next one.

I’ve had Olivia cut my hair twice now and each time it’s looked great. It can be hard to find a stylist you trust when you have wavy/curly/coily hair, and shes earned mine!! She’s also very kind and bubbly. Plus this salon has a dog… what’s not to love?!

The 707 team is fantastic! Eliot is one of the friendliest business owners in all of Chicago, and on top of that, is an absolute artist with hair. My girlfriend and I both go to him regularly and always come away looking fantastic!
