First time at 88 Salon, as of today the sign on the door and website says $55-$65 for a women's haircut. I was charged $75 for a haircut, plus tip and fees and when I asked why it wasn't in the price range advertised, was told they're changing the prices and the price is subject to change. Feels a little misleading, I should have asked about the price ahead of time I suppose, except I didn't think I received anything special for the additional cost. Stylist was Zara, the cut is beautiful and what I asked for.

Zara did an excellent job doing my layers and face framing, she was respectful, did her best to meet all my expectations. I enjoyed her attitude and work ethic.

Zara did an excellent job on my hair! Such an incredible price for an excellent balayage. The crew was so kind and I got exactly what I wanted. I cannot recommend enough!

Went in for my first time. I went in with long hair going past my nipples. Asked for a long shag cut and showed Susan a picture. She cut my hair several inches and my hair is now far above my nipples. The cut itself isn’t bad but isn’t what I asked for at all. Ultimately really upset with my cut as I love having long hair.

I just passed by this salon, there was a black man who wears sunglasses and sky blue color Adidas training suit and has tattoo on his face sat on chair outside of the salon. He told me ‘nihao, nihao, nihao’ that is a racism expression to Asians who are not Chinese. That was really unpleasant to me. Though I don’t know he works at the salon, I saw he was outside of the salon all day. I guess he is related with the salon. If you guys are sensitive for racism, you need to reconsider to go this salon.

I thought I’d try a new salon out, and based on reviews and Reddit posts this place seemed a good bet. Sadly, I was wrong. I went in with an exact idea of what I wanted with pictures of myself with my previous cut. I showed the picture to Zara and she proceeds to do something completely different, murmuring as she cut “I don’t know how you want to style it”. I’ve never felt anxious or dread while getting my hair cut, but I felt so uncomfortable here as she cut my hair and I was too afraid to ask her to stop as she was halfway through. I would not recommend this salon.

Awful service. Had scheduled haircut back in November. The day of my haircut I get a call that my appt was cancelled. Then I call back to reschedule and speak with Shahab. Never got a call back. Called back today, got a call back that barber is going on vacation for a month. I'm new to Washington, and was looking for a new barber. I was told go to Shahab. Since November Shahab has cancelled or never call back. This Salon has terrible customer service and I'm not even a customer yet! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

DON'T GO HERE. I used to be a regular, but a lot of new people have started working the front desk and they're super rude. I go to The Shop now which is right next to 88.

I had a haircut with Regina and she did an amazing job. Thank you so much Regina for the amazing haircut. Prices are also very reasonable. Would definitely recommend 88 Kirkland salon.

I have gone through a lot of salons in the area until I found 88 Kirkland salon. Recently I got a Brazilian blowout and haircut done by Susan. She did an amazing job with the blowout. There were some issues with my haircut after the blowout because it changed on my hair texture (made it smoother finer). I messaged the salon, they got me in the very next day, and Susan fixed my hair at absolutely no extra cost. She's a wonderful person and when somebody does something like this, you know you're definitely coming back so I am a permanent customer for the salon they are wonderful.

I've been a loyal client of Shahab’s for almost two years now. His attention to detail is exceptional. He’s a true artist and he displays that in every single one of his cuts. He’s incredible when it comes to men’s cuts and fades. Highly recommended!!

The hair stylist didn’t listen to my wife’s request , didn’t ask any questions and basically did her hair how she felt like it. Luckily my wife is beautiful and it looked good on her anyway. Music was loud and annoying. Availability was good. Parking is terrible here. There was no paid parking available in the back and we had to circle the area and wait for street parking to open up. The stylist also kept giving me dirty looks (she needs to grow up).
