Ken has been my hairdresser since I moved to Chicago. Very professional, skillful and helpful. He is the best in the area. Listens to your input and put his best effort to get the outcome you desire. Answer your questions and address any concerns you might have. By far the best hairstylist I have experienced so far. I would strongly recommend him to my family and friends.

Ken was my stylist going back to 2015. I recently moved and that’s the only reason that he still isn’t. He shepherded me through many transitions over the decade for which I was his client: from cutting my hair to shading a buzz cut to shaping and trimming the beard that I came to grow out. His skills, his commitment to his clients, and his work ethic make him second to none. I’ll do my best to find someone else who can compare, but I’m certainly that I will turn up short in that endeavor.

Ken is true artist. He took the time to discuss the style I wanted and also shared his thoughts on how it would look. He kept me informed about what he was doing throughout the process, and the final results were stunning. I’ll definitely be returning, as Ken has a keen understanding of an individuals style and today’s current trends. Overall, I had a great experience and Ken is a great guy, I’m excited for my next visit!

Me and my Husband had our haircut here and we loved it! Ken is such a great hairstylist! He doesn’t just cut hair but actually knows how. He recommends what kind of haircut fits you best and tells you tricks on achieving the hairstyle you wanted after your haircut. Also great product recommendations! This is our new go to salon now!

Ken has been the best hair stylist I have had by far! He is an artist at what he does! He is not only amazing at his job, he provides education on it and teaches you how to care for your hair better! and he is a very kind person! I recommend him 100%. I really miss the way he would do my hair and our conversations. I moved to California last year and it truly hasn't been the same!

Ken has always done a fantastic job, nothing but great things to say about him. I go out of my way when I am in the city to make sure to get my hair cut / eyebrows waxed from Ken. He always makes sure to have an attention to detail and understand what you want from your cut. Very sad to be leaving Chicago soon and having to find a new barber!

Went in to get my perm redone. He cut out all of my curls, then claimed he didn’t know I wanted my perm redone. Before he started cutting my hair, he was trying to sell me shampoo for curly hair though? Maybe he got mad that I didn’t want to purchase it. Ken cut my hair so short that I was unable to get a perm done, and now I’m stuck with straight hair and a terrible haircut. He did reach out to me and offer me a complimentary perm in a few months when my hair has grown back out. I did not accept as I absolutely do not trust him to touch my hair again. I will definitely advise all of my friends to stay away from 888 salon.

I had been going to Ken for 5+ years. He is passionate about what he does and it shows in his work. The first time I went to Ken he told me that he made a slight mistake(I couldn’t notice) and that if he tried to correct it, it would only get worse. Every stylist before Ken tried to correct these tiny mistakes which left me with many butchered hair cuts. I didn’t notice the mistake and every body told me what a great hair cut it was so I kept going back to Ken. He is one of those artists that no matter how great you think it is he always feels it can be better, and the next time he cuts your hair it will be!!

Good barber, but extremely expensive. I called and I thought he said $20. I probably only have 100 hairs on the top of my head. He finished and I paid the $20 and then he informed me that it was $40. Too much. I'll cut my own hair from here out. A burr haircut will work well enough... Just mow the lawn. Too bad...

I was beyond impressed with the haircut I got at 888 Salon, as well as my barber's positive energy and excellent customer service. Ken is amazingly skilled at cutting hair and passionate about his work. He enthusiastically answered all of the questions I asked regarding hair care and gave many helpful tips on how to style and care for my hair after having it cut. Apart from my haircut, I found the facilities to be pleasant and clean. I would recommend the salon to friends and hope to visit again!

Ken gave me a wonderful haircut. I have very fine/thin hair and he took his time to make sure I was comfortable with him and what he was going to do for the cut and adding layers in to give me the most volume possible. I highly recommend this salon and plan on going back!

Ken had made me come in twice just to waste my time and tell me to go elsewhere. He was very indecisive about what to do with my hair and kept saying what I wanted was a lot of money but, never giving me a price of what I wanted. However, what he wanted to do originally was already overpriced. While there another guy had came in to get his hair color fixed because he didn’t like it how it was. On top of him judging my previous stylist which I liked their result but, couldn’t go to him because of different locations. He smelled like cigarettes the entire times.

Prior to my first haircut by Ken, I had never requested a particular stylist again at any salon, but Ken is truly one of a kind! I was so impressed with his attention to detail and concern for my satisfaction with the final result, I now refuse to get my hair cut by anyone else, even after I moved a good distance away! He is so passionate and hardworking and I always leave expecting great results and yet somehow still get blown away by results that far exceed my expectations! I gush about his work to everyone I know and to each of them I always say, he’s not just a hairstylist, he is an artist! You will not find a stylist that actually listens to what you want and works as hard to make it happen as Ken! He is truly gifted at his art!
