What a warm, loving atmosphere with inviting owners who have great skill. I love coming here to de-stress and letting them care for me and, just for a while, taking away the world. A Better Day Salon is more than a hair salon. I highly recommend Janiece and Douglas and this salon.

My hairstylist, Douglas has done a wonderful job both times I did a perm. He’s very kind, thoughtful, and genuine. He loves his job & truly wants his clients to be happy with the end results. And he makes sure of that. During my consultation for getting a perm, he gave me his truthful opinion. That my hair was too damaged for a perm at the time & I should wait. He also told me that the size of curl I wanted was too extreme for my naturally straight hair and I should go with bigger curls. I listened to him. I went back 2-3 months later & did the curl size he recommended. The end result looks fabulous! And no damage to my hair. I had done perms in 2 other places before this salon. 1st try, my hair didn’t even curl. 2nd try, the stylist severely damaged my hair. Douglas is just incredible at what he does.

Super conscientious about cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. Nice selection of Aveda products. Got my hair cut and colored, got lashes and brows tinted, great service, great results. Totally happy customer!

The stylist was very professional. Asked the right questions and listened to my answers. She was very interested in making sure I was happy with the outcome. As often is the case, I really needed to style it myself to know for sure and I have to say I am very, very happy with the outcome.

Janiece and Douglas are wonderful people and they always take time to get my hair the way I want it. After years or bad haircuts from other places I finally got my husband to get his hair cut here; he has never looked better. I love this place!

I had my first appointment with them. I live 80 miles away. I was warmly greeted, had to wait all of one minute, was treated to a professional and excellent hair cut, reasonable price, and I would drive that 80 miles again for just the experience of being so well-cared for.

I really like coming to A Better Day Salon. It feels like family just hanging out and cutting hair and chatting away about everything. Usually I always go to Douglas, but this time I got Aaron, who is as sweet as they come. I really like the shape Aaron gave to my hair. My head is very round and with the good volume up in back I don't look like a ball. I also really like the definition Douglas gave me around my face and ears. I will be back!

I was quoted $50.00 paid $70.00 and was told by the woman when I came in the 2nd time (I had to go back so she could fix a mistake) that what I was asking for was “unattractive” and “not what they do around here.” Needless to say I won’t be back. Too much money spent to still not have what I want and 1/3 of the hair I went i with.

I’ve been going there for years. Laura is fantastic and this time we had our toddlers with us. One showed interest in getting his hair cut, when previously he’d hated it. She was able to squeeze in cutting his and his brother’s hair and they both enjoyed it. She interacted with they in a way that put them at ease.

this is a non tipping salon which I didn't feel great about. when I came in for a trim they wouldn't charge me or let me tip my stylist

I am a regular at this salon for a haircut, but Saturday was the first time I had a massage and it was GREAT! Dion asked questions about where my trouble spots were, listened to what I was saying, and was knowledgeable about the muscle groups in that area. Many of the therapists I have gone to in the past either do not listen to me (i.e. they feel they need to treat the "whole body" even though I tell them I don't want that), or they put pressure in way that is contrary to where the muscles are and how they connect, in the body. I will definitely be going back.

This has got to be the easiest review I've ever given. I have been coming in for my regular style cut for the last 12 years, and for good reasons.
