Every person there was very friendly and helpful. Jessica helped me and was so patient and understanding of my situation facing hair loss because of upcoming chemo treatments. Taught me a couple of tricks as well, since this is my first wig. Picked out a beautiful color that would never have crossed my mind! Thanks Jessica!!

They really helped my girlfriend feel comfortable and gave her all the details for various wigs when going through chemo. Very nice and helpful workers. A lot of cool accessories as well.

My wife was very upset over her hair loss. We found A Special,Place online, and went there for a consultation. Jamela and her wonderful staff were so incredibly patient and supportive. She bought out all sorts of wigs and toppers and finally ordered a couple of human hair wig options. There was no pressure at all. They cut and styled the wig for her and it is beautiful. We highly recommend A Special Place

Sometimes life is hard, tries to knock you down. THANK GOD for people like Tonka, this woman is amazing! She's part hairdresser/therapist/cheerleader and so much more than that! She helped me find the perfect wig that almost looks exactly like my hair did before. ❤️

The people are very nice. But the quality is not worth the price. THE HAIR FALLS Out. They don't stand by there product. It is very upseting when u are going through a illness. Buy a very expensive wig and with in a few months it falls apart. So sad!!!

This is my second review, but I felt like I had to write about the experiences I am having. Everyone says they love my hair! The first person to see me with it was my son-in-law. I did not think much about it when he said he liked it a lot because I felt like he was just being nice. The wig is the same color as the sample I gave. However, this sample was taken when I had almost no hair left. It is close, but not really exactly like my original hair and not as curly. It is more fashionable to have the looser curls than what I really have. I have had several total strangers tell me how much they like my hair. I guess they know it is a wig, but I don't tell them. When my wig came in, the ladies there took a lot of time styling it. I wasn't sure about it then, (it has been two months) but I am getting more confident with it. I hope you never have to wear a wig due to chemo, but if you do, this is the place to go.

Very nice people but a perception just takes off the taxes and doesn't cover the full cost of the wig if you have medidcad.

Was not able to wear the wig and was not able to return the wig or any of the products sold to me. This company would not work with me at all. Cancer patients are already going through enough without having to pay so much for wigs that they cannot wear. I recommend not buying a wig until you see if you are happy just wearing hats. Do not invest a lot of money in these wigs. Absolutely not worth the money to me. Just my opinion and I'm out of $300 that I could certainly use for other things now.

Would like to say that I had an amazing experience. My consultant made me feel special. I felt like I was in a safe place. Losing my hair to chemo treatments for my breast cancer was devastating. Coming to a special place and finding a special wig perfect for me. Gave me my confidence back. No one understands how difficult it is for a woman to lose her hair for any reason. If you are shopping for WIGS, GO STRAIGHT TO GREENSBORO, NC. There is a Wig Salon there, and it is simply "Out Of This World". THE NAME IS "A SPECIAL PLACE " WIG SALON. I bought 3 WIGS there yesterday. They had so many of them. I could not just have 1. The staff there is WONDERFUL! SO GO!

Tonka was wonderful. I went thinking I was going to have to buy a topper to replace one that I bought a few years ago when the store was on State Street. She allowed me to try on several toppers - human hair and synthetic. In the meantime, because I had brought my old topper for a color match , I was shown how I could continue to use it with just a few adjustments to provide coverage where thinning from chemotherapy was occurring. She thinned my wiggy-full topper, showed me where I should clip it, and styled it to blend with my natural hair. I love that Tonka listened to my needs and provided solutions that I was comfortable with.

I knew nothing about wigs but I looked around the shop and pointed out wigs I wanted to try. I found a style I wanted and chose a color close to my hair and they ordered it for me. When it came in they customized it to my liking since I decided I wanted bangs. Then I got a wig on sale and Merinda shaped it to suit my face. I love my wigs and the ladies are top notch.

I was disappointed. You are put in a small room where you can’t see the wig selections and just wigs in boxes were brought out for me to try. I showed a picture of one I had when I had cancer in 2015 that I loved . I was never shown anything remotely like the picture. I had stressed on the web page and in person I did not want any permatease. They are experts so you expect them to point these things out to you . I spent a load of money there that day. I do not like either wig.. One did have permatease. The most expensive one didn’t but I wasn’t given instructions on stying , I wasn’t offered any other service that would have been useful. I was encouraged to look at and buy compression garments. I have Lymphedema from cancer and I need special compression . I didn’t go into the purchase of those. They weren’t busy so it isn’t like their wasn’t time to go into more detail and offer some helpful critiquing.. I went the next week to a wig stylist near me and she worked on two older wigs and they look as good as the two I just purchased. That was another 80$. I won’t go back to A Special Place. I am glad so many are well pleased with their purchases. I was there the last of October, 2021. I had not planned to give a review but decided maybe someone could learn from my experience and make certain they are prepared to ask and insist on getting what they really desire and be certain before walking out the door.

Very friendly staff!! The lady that helped me was so helpful. I tried on several wigs and they actually had one that matched my hair color and it looked real good on me. She told me how to care for my wig. She was wonderful to talk to!! I don't have my wig on now(12:11am), so no picture to show.

I'm at the beginning of my breast cancer journey and this place is an absolute breath of fresh air. From the phone call conversation my best friend had with them to my appointment today she was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. She took her time to make me feel important and to let me know that she cared about me and my journey and that they will be there for me every step of the way. Finding this place was Godsent.
