Im a new client of Ms. Tonya. Yesterday was my second visit. The salon is very welcoming and relaxing! Ms. Tonya energy and personality makes you feel comfortable. Ive been looking for an old school hair stylist and Ive finally found her! Her knowledge in healthy hair care makes me feel confident in knowing I can grow my hair back!

I have been a client of Tonya's for 10 years....Tonya's concern/desire for healthy hair is what prompted my visit to her salon...The advice she provided resulted in me not only getting the nutrients needed, (after securing/recieving medical advice from my doctor) to correct/reverse the thinning/breakage I was experiencing. It also resulted in my overall health being better. Tonya is a professional, very talented and caring stylist who takes pride in ensuring her clients are satisfied with their service...I'm always complimented on my hair, along with requests for her name/salon...Always looking forward to my next visit...😊

I have been going Tonya since I moved from CT 8 years ago. She is transformed my hair to becoming more healthy and less chemically processed. Every time I go home to visit my family, they always compliments either my style, or color. She has always kept my hair slayed. She is always professional and takes pride in her work. This place is amazing! I actually found it on the web awhile back, but the prices kind of scared me off because it's more than I usually pay for a haircut. I finally visited a few weeks ago, and ladies let me tell you, the service was worth every penny! I was getting a version of The Big Chop because, after so many DIY haircuts, my head had gotten out of control. After getting my cut she did a wash and go style, and it set so cute I was ecstatic. If you're looking for a place in Tampa to take care of your natural hair, this is it!

Another review so that Tonya can remember who I am and the "unruly" hair that Ms. Brenda had to deal with. The salon was nice and the stylist was actually super sweet; she even had good reviews for doing natural hair (blowout and silk press). However, this was not my experience. I lost so much hair during the visit that I cried in the car on the way home. The breakage and heat damage is still to be determined but they are both inevitable. It's my fault for not speaking up and now it's on me get my hair back to being healthy. Who combs through dry, curly natural hair? Why the separate conditioning treatment if you're going to shampoo? Why the multiple passes with a hot comb and flat iron after blow drying? It was just awful. Your response to my review(s) signals your disdain for natural hair and that you much prefer to handle chemically straightened hair. There have been significant changes in black hair care in the last 40 years and you should check out some YouTube videos on how to treat natural hair if you want to improve your skills.

Great place for naturals; the owner is professional and extremely knowledgeable and the atmosphere is welcoming. I stopped going bc I felt I was being overcharged and I also did not like being passed off to the owners niece. I just wished I could have been treated like an important customer bc I would have kept going.

The service I received today met my expectations for a silk press. I have had the hardest time finding a stylist that cares for hair and NOT AFRAID to cut off DEAD ENDS! My haircut is AMAZING and my hair is super MOISTURIZED! thank you Brenda for reconnecting me to my beautiful hair…I’m in love with my hair ❤️❤️❤️🍾

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I recently moved and was looking for a new hairstylist in the area. I read the reviews for this salon, and decided to try them out. Unfortunately that would be a decision I would later regret. I booked to have my hair washed, conditioned, trimmed if needed, and braided down. Upon entry, Tonya did not greet me with a hello, she just looked at me and said give her a minute. After about 15 minutes she started my hair. She washed and conditioned my hair, but when it came to blow drying it was the worst. She yanked on my hair, with no regard to my hair or scalp sensitivity. My hair is natural, and requires a level of care that was not provided. She did not apply any product before blow drying, so I suffered major hair loss. To make matters worse she said I had major split ends and would need to trim off about 1 -1/2 inches. I expressed that I had recently received a trim and didn't believe my hair needed that much taken off, but she insisted I did and that my hair was brittle and that I may suffer from anemia. She butchered my hair y'all! I had to drive 2+ hours to my original hair stylist to get my hair assessed and to get yet another trim to correct uneven layers and mistakes Tonya did. I have to now regrow my hair. If you're natural, avoid this place at all cost! In response to owner: As previously mentioned you did not greet me with a hello or any other salutation; You were sweeping when I arrived and just stated to give you a minute. Yes, my review was written almost 2 months later as I had crochet installed. I did not see the severity of my hair, since it was braided down immediately after blow drying. I suffered major hair loss, and you did not trim the amount you originally said, approximately 1 -1/2 inches. After explaining this situation with my original stylist, she was able to pinpoint that you did not properly stretch my hair during blow drying to see where to accurately trim; As a result, I received a butchered cut from you, with at least 4 inches removed from my hair. It's unfortunate that a customer expresses dissatisfaction with services, and you appear to respond defensively and with skepticism, rather than seeking to understand - or at minimum acknowledge your error in the matter. I have returned to my original hairstylist, and will drive the extra miles to ensure that quality of care is given to my hair, as it regrows. I hope that this feedback is taken into consideration, when servicing new clients. All the best of luck to you.

A Women's Worth Hair Salon is awesome!!! Tonya and her team of stylist are amazing!!! My overall experience was beyond my expectations and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Tonya is truly great at what she does. If you are looking for a stylist who listens and is attentive to your hair needs, Tonya is the best I have seen. She is like a "doctor" who diagnose your hair and tailors your hair treatment and style to your personality.

I didn't see Tonya I saw the other lady and she wasn't that great. She rushed and she's rough. Never did she ask me what I wanted. I went in for a relaxer and my hair still isn't relaxed. I paid 140 dollars just for a relaxer and she burned me as soon she put the cream in. After I told her I had sensitive scalp she didn't care, I told her it was burning she told me to wait and did nothing about it. Worse hair care and experience for me.

Tonya is a talented stylist that brought my hair back to life. She's very knowledgeable, and loves what she does. I can tell she cares about the health of the hair, yet she listens to what your goal is for your hair. A sassy personality that draws you in!
