This is my first time growing my hair out. I didn’t really know how I wanted my hair to be cut. Ashley asked a lot of probing questions and gave me a haircut that fit me well. She recommended certain hair products and curated a specific hair routine for me. I couldn’t be happier! Not only is her studio welcoming but she was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Ashley has THE best hair extensions in the city! I've been to multiple well-known salons and they're either using antiquated techniques or not 100% human hair. Using her method, my real hair is no longer damaged, but growing fast. See my real hair before and after since I switched to her method. Do not use keratin bonds from other salons.

Needed an emergency saving grace and was able to see Grace SAME DAY within hours. (Usually unheard of) especially with the quality and time she delivered. Good conversation, so chill, and down to earth. Also an exceptionally lovely and inviting environment. Excited to see where my hair journey takes me! I feel like I am in such good hands. Thanks again Salon A|F and Grace for such a great service and giving me more than what I asked!

I have got my haircut beard trim and color from Ashley probably 5 times now. She is awesome does a great job and I will never go anywhere but to her studio from now on. I always feel relaxed and comfortable when I’m there.

Jessica did my hair for the first time about a week ago and I can honestly say she is one of the best hair stylist i have been to. She was personable and knowledgeable! She did a cut and collor on me and i absolutely love it! Thank You, Jessica!!!

jesse is literally the best hair stylist u cld ever ask for. when i first started coming in the lady i used before fried my hair trying to even attempt to get me blonde and this had been going on a yr..... i switched to jesse and she had my hair blonde after just 2 sessions without frying it . then introduced me to extensions which has been the best thing ever and even with extensions my hair is the healthiest and thickest it's been in yrs!!!! also she blends the color and texture perfectly no one ever has been able to know or tell i have extensions. she always goes out of her way to schedule me and do whatever crazy hair idea i have that month and she has become one of my best friends who i can always talk too and have my back and get advice from and share life stories with. the salon is super clean and stocked well and the owner is just as sweet and amazing. jesse has been a life savor in my life and im so thankful to have her as my stylist and friend

I started using Ashley F as my stylist 6 months ago and have had 3 appointments. I am SHOOK---she is incredible. This past appointment, I wanted to go "Cowboy Red" (that's what she called it!) and it looks amazing. I have had so many compliments in just the two weeks I've had the color. Ashley F is really easy to work with, and she is an honest stylist. She will tell you if something won't work, and she has enough experience to know these things. We have a great time chatting too. The salon is in a great location and I love the aesthetic. Cannot say enough positive things about Ashley and her salon.

I’ve contemplated writing this review for a month now, I in no way want to take away from Ashely or her salon, but had I saw a review like this, I may have went somewhere else. I thoroughly enjoyed Ashely as a person and feel she is very skilled in her areas of expertise! But I feel she was out of her comfort zone when she decided to take me on as a client. I was very upfront that I have blonde curly natural hair and my goal was to add volume/length to an area that wasn’t as long as my natural hair - due to a previous hair style I was growing out. I didn’t care about having longer hair - I wanted it to be natural looking to where no one could tell. She ensured me she works with curly extension clients and this is something she felt comfortable taking on. She asked for a $675 deposit and I gave her $1200 so she would know I was serious and excited about this process. I spent 4 hours with Ashley in which time she “color matched” my hair to the extensions, colored the extensions and attached them to my hair. The color didn’t match, the length was too long and looked faked - it was obvious I had extensions in, and the curl pattern was no where near my natural texture. She told me it would get curlier after a couple washes. On my way home I texted her that the color didn’t match nor did the curl pattern - she asked me to give it a few days. I went home and washed my hair and styled it trying to get it close - I texted her later that night that I hated them, they didn’t look natural and I could in no way walk around with these in my hair. She got me in 2 days later to remove them. When asked about a refund for my almost $1800 service she gave me a free half balayage and curl cut. I know extensions are pricy, I also know she spent time on this service. But I feel as a professional she should have never taken me on as a client. She did not supply the service I paid for and I was left paying $1800 for something I had in my head less than 48 hours. Not a very professional way of handling this service if you ask me.

My experience with Jordin was amazing! I have had trouble finding a new stylist since moving to town. I was looking to dye my hair and blend in my grays but I didn’t quite know what I wanted. She made sure to go over everything with me and we pinpointed what i liked most! She also got me in quickly! I messaged her on Tuesday and had an appointment on Saturday. From the cut to the color I was beyond satisfied. I cannot wait to see her again!

Ashley did my hair and OMG the dimension and contrast is frickin beyond beautiful. My hair is still so healthy after lightening from color correction. Absolutely awesome! I have been going to Ashley at a|f salon for two years. She goes above and beyond for me! She is the best! I have been wearing extensions for 10 years now, and have been through a variety of stylist at different salons. She is hands down the most phenomenal with color matching / placement of the extensions! The salon environment is warm and friendly. Best salon in KC! I would highly recommend!

Jess literally gave me the hair of my dreams! I have had extensions for several years and they have never blended so well with my natural hair! After my appointment I quickly threw my hair into a high pony and you COULD NOT see any evidence of the weft which is so shocking because I have never been able to wear my hair like that out in public. I highly recommend A|F salon, outstanding service!

My advice: go somewhere else. I thought I had found my forever hair extension person in Ashley & am very disappointed to report that is not the case. The charge was literally double of the 2 other places I’ve been but I was okay with that because you get what you pay for, right? Nope, wrong again. This hair was awful!! Over $1,000 for hair that was damaged, broke easily despite taking exceptional care of it & literally needed 5” cut off to look remotely presentable. The worst part is that Ashley canceled our follow up appointment a few days before because of an injury, which I understand & sympathize with but when I asked to come pick up the hair I paid WAY too much for she went MIA. Definitely not what I expected from her as she seemed great but ultimately I was WAY overcharged for a very low quality product & then she disappeared. I do hope she is okay health wise but a follow up was the least she could’ve done. Side note: I still never mentioned anything about the hair quality issue to her. Frankly, I wasn’t fully aware of how bad it was until I was forced to go to another stylist when she disappeared on me. I’m

I was incredibly nervous to get hair extensions. I've always had a hard time with the methods I've had in the past and the cost and maintenance is something you have to be mindful of. Ashley was incredibly accommodating, answered all the questions that I had, and when I had some concerns with my hair she got me in right away to walk me through it and help me out. My confidence is through the roof with these extensions and I am very pleased with the work Ashley did. If you are looking for extensions, look no further. Thank you, AF Salon!
