I went today to Affinity Hair Academy. It was my first time and I am very impressed with all the students. They do a professional work in my hair. All students are concentrated in doing the best to make feel happy with the service.

I had an appointment for mani/pedi and wax. When I arrived at this place, they checked me in and ignored me for 30mins. Everybody was chit chatting and no one told me anything so I decided to leave. This school must teach customer service skills and puntuallity. Don't ignore your customers.

Despues de buscar varias academias donde estudiar cosmetologia cuando llegué aqui a affinity hair academy me gusto y decidi comenzar con ellos. Tienen profesores en los dos idiomas y son muy buenos. Mi instructor Cano en español y Rio en ingles también muy diligentes para el aprendizaje de los alumnos. La dueña Ingrid sin duda fue para mi una mentora me dio muy buenos consejos sobre como hacer los trabajos y me enseñó muchas técnicas. Sin duda recomendado! Me llevé una buena experiencia y aprendí muchas cosas no solo de cosmetologia sino de como trabajar en servicio al cliente , ética en el trabajo y trabajo en equipo!

I graduated from Affinity Hair Academy and I'm so grateful for the incredible education I received! Ingrid, the owner, has created a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters growth and learning. My instructor, Ryo, was exceptional! His expertise, patience, and passion for cosmetology made every class engaging and informative. I gained so much knowledge and hands-on experience, from cutting and coloring to skincare and makeup. The curriculum was comprehensive and well-structured, covering everything I needed to know to succeed in the industry. I appreciated the opportunities to work on real clients and build my skills in a salon-like setting. Ingrid and Ryo's dedication to their students' success is evident in everything they do. My experience as a Cosmetology student at Affinity Hair Academy So I transferred from another school before starting at affinity, since my first school was such a horrible experience and I was learning nothing. I started at affinity very frustrated with how little I knew, and eager to learn more. That being said, I can genuinely say that I learned so much with my time with them. They’re really great with going at your own pace, so if you’re a slow learner or you catch on fast, they fit to your learning style. Now, they will push you very hard, giving you a lot of clients back to back which can be a lot to handle. That being said, if you communicate when you need a break or change of pace, they always listen. Personally, if I’m going to spend a lot of time and money at a school, I would rather get pushed harder than breezing through the hours then graduating feeling unprepared. I can honestly say I’ve now graduated feeling more prepared for the beauty industry than most stylists do- and I don’t take that for granted. I’m very grateful to my teachers Ryo and Cano and of course the owner Ingrid for teaching me to the best of their ability. To anyone out there looking to enroll in cosmetology school, I would recommend this school if you are a hard worker and ready to learn!

I cannot thank Ingrid enough for the extension since the day I walked in, it has been phenomenal experience with the students and the teachers. I had asked about extensions and around the timing frame that I wanted to get them . The process was super easy. And can not forget the cost!! Definitely cost efficient. I went with half instead of full. I’m now about 3 1/2 months in going soon to get them fixed soon since there is an extensive amount of growth.

I'd like to start of by saying how much of an amazing experience I had at Affinity Hair Academy!!! I was a student there and the amount of Knowledge I gained from the teachers there is outstanding! I'm proud to say that I just passed my state exam and I couldn't have done it without Affinity Hair Academy! Furthermore they go above and beyond to make sure all the students have exactly what they need to be well respected professionals! Thank you Affinity Hair Academy for making my dreams come true!!!

If I could give zero stars I 100% would I went here to get extensions in full understanding that it's a hair school , I was quoted $900 (which the owner kept telling me was “cheap” I called all the professional salons around me and was quote $1,000-1,200) for Bellami hair and the installation and I was all in. I have dark brown hair and it was discussed I would get dark brown hair, I do the first payment and go in for my appointment . First off the owner ordered the WRONG color of hair , she ordered jet black hair and was telling me I was wrong and that's the right color and I told her I asked for brown and she kept telling me no I didn't even though her assistant even remembered me saying brown.As well as she felt the need to tell me I’m not paying as much as other places charge even though that doesn’t matter what so ever I’m still paying a lot she was so rude and nasty .Not only this I end up going to a professional salon to find out that they in fact DID NOT buy me bellami hair extensions but cheap extensions from Amazon that are ALREADY breaking(I’ve had hair extensions in the past and this has never happened) , the professional stylist showed me what bellami hair looks like compared to the hair in my head and mine was cheap. So disappointing that I got SCAMMED by this school and was being gaslight that I was wrong and they were right by the OWNER . Had such a horrible experience and not only that she put black dye in my hair without telling me to try to have the extensions and my hair blend better without telling me .. HORRIBLE. They like to reply to these reviews and make it seem like we are in the wrong but they are this school is not good and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone

I am in absolute awe with the amazing job they did with my hair and my daughter’s hair! The smile on my daughter’s face today was priceless! I have been going to Affinity Hair Academy for 8 years and I have had, hair cut, full head of highlights, lowlights, use of toner and I have loved my experience every time I go. It is a happy place and all new and advance students are great. The staff oversee the students and make sure you have a wonderful experience. Thank you❤️

In this salon they put people who don't even know what they are doing, they don't care about damaging other people's hair, these stylists are being supervised by instructors who don't even tell them that they are making mistakes. They also tell you a budget and in the end they change everything and charge you more than what they had said. It's not worth putting your hair at risk with people who only want the money.
