After a long braids hiatus decided to finally get some again. Did a google search and found this shop and made an appointment. So glad I did because Anta is absolutely fabulous. Got the mohawk braids I saw in the pics on here and she installed them in about 5 1/2 hrs. She asked if I wanted some color thrown in and showed me all the colors she had in stock. I'm so glad she offered because I hadn't even thought about color! Shop is clean and you can watch tv while she braids which helps. She was very professional and nice and kept asking if I was ok. Love LOVE my hair and have been getting so many compliments. The braids are tight and well installed, but not too tight where my scalp feels like its on fire for a couple of days like it has been in other braid shops. She does excellent work and I will def be back!! Thanks Anta!!

Anta is wonderful. I had many questions about hair styles, caring for braids, how long they would last, ease of removal, lol and she was patient with me and made excellent recommendations. Very pleased with her services and you will be too.

I am so pleased with my individual braids. She completed my hair within about 5 hours, AND she did it all on her own. Her professionalism and demeanor were top notch. These braids are well worth the investment!

Anta did a fantastic job. She uses good quality of hair that does not make your neck and scalp itch! My hair has a sheen to it and does not look dull. I will definitely patronize her in the future.

Don’t waste your time coming here! This lady was very rude and unprofessional. I scheduled my appointment two weeks in advance and sent her the hairstyle I wanted. However, when I got there she told me she couldn’t do that style and wanted me to choose something else. Not to mention she was late and when I called to tell her I was waiting on her, she had a serious attitude and talked down on me multiple times. She is not worth the trouble she brings at all.

I don't recommend this place for anyone, firstly she isn't professional at all, not on time and very rude. She couldn't do simple box braid with small curl. At first I wanted to braid two of my daughters hair but decided to go elsewhere .

It's always a bit unnerving going to a new stylist, however, Anta quickly put me at ease, she's a delightful woman and skilled professional. Anta did an excellent job on my Havana Twists. She does not braid tight and was very gentle around my edges. I have had my twist for a month now and I am still getting compliments on how good they still look. Her price is fair ($200 for medium length) and she does not take a long time. It took right under 4 hours. I was getting my braids done by someone else but Anta has won me over. I'll be going to her from now on.

I rarely do reviews unless the service/product is very very good or very very bad. Miss Anita is very very GOOD! I am tender headed so getting braids is rare for me. My past experience with African braiders has been edges ripped and headache for at least 2 days. I needed a protective style after wearing my hair out all summer so I took a chance based on reviews. I was not disappointed. The first thing she did was help me make a good decision on style based on the health of my natural haIr. She was fast, courteous and very sweet. My hair turned out beautifully and I was a totally able to sleep without pain. I wish I could post a picture. I'm her new biggest fan and sending my daughter next week.

I DO NOT normally write reviews; BUT it was mandatory that I make an exception considering it was Ms. Anta's "raving reviews" that guided me to her shop and needless to say she DEFINITELY did not disappoint as she earned every star she received! I normally drive back to Maryland to get my hair braided but to God be the glory I now have a 2nd Angel of Hair that specializes in natural hair, doesn't rip out ur edges & educates you on how to take care of your hair she was awesome. Thank You Ms. Anta for a Beautiful job well done! I have received so many compliments and I am also following ones instructions and I can see a difference in my hair shine from the vitamin E-400 so I know the growth & thickness is to follow. So anyone looking for a Braider within 💯 miles of Raleigh-Durham Ms. Anta is ur Lady I PROMISE You WILL NOT be disappointed, see you soon 🤗!

I use to live in Raleigh in 2014 and I came to Anita's to get Senegalese twist. It's 2018 and I am debating if i should drive 6 hours from South Carolina to get them again because no other stylist has compared with the consistence shown in her work. They lasted me 4 months because they looked that good and my hair grew so much. If only you lived closer.
