They did a good job with braiding my daughter's hair. The reason why I didn't rate it five stars was due to a couple of missteps on the part by Ms. Armelle. I was charged more that was initially quoted by her. I stopped by on a Thursday to schedule an appointment for my daughter. I showed Ms. Armelle a picture of what my daughter's hair was like when it was previously braided. When I brought my daughter to the salon the following Monday, and when they finished her hair, the person charged me $200 instead of the $165 initially quoted. I told her that Ms. Armelle (who was not at the salon at the time) had stated that the price would be $165. When I disputed this fact, the braider then called Ms. Armelle over the phone, speaking to her in French. I thought this was rude, given the fact that there was a dispute and I needed to know what was going on. I did not want to create a scene at the salon, so I waited until I returned home to call her myself. When I explained to Ms. Armelle what happened, she stated that she was sorry that the person did not initially explain that since my daughter's hair was longer, it would cost more. So anyone who goes to her, be sure that whoever is doing your daughter's hair knows what is expected BEFORE they start their work.

I love this place. The owner always takes her time. And on her helpers I remember when my edges were coming out. She helped them to come back so I am so appreciative of her and all her staff sincerely k.

I love this place. It was my first time visiting. I called this morning around 9:30 to see if they had availability this week. The woman asked me if I could come within the next hour. Sure, no problem! I arrived around 10:50 am. She started on my hair at 11 am and was done at 4:30 pm. I requested medium-sized box braids. I paid $200 and love it. They are not tight and feel light. I'll be back. Thank you!

It was horrible charged me $300 for boho knotless braids but my parts wasn’t even braided my hair to tight that caused blisters on my forehead extremely disappointed in the work.

Arielle is the best at braiding my hair. The other ladies there are amazing too. Braids are never tight just the way I like it. The hair always last me forever and it still looks fresh when I take it out. This is the only place I will go to get my braids.

I love them! They're affordable, kind and efficient in slaying the braids. Since moving to SC, Armelle and her team are the only ones that I trust and are comfortable with, to do my hair. I've been going to this salon for 8/9 months and I have no plans of changing that, any time soon.

I never have had braids before, so I sought out several places, many of whom never got back to me. Armelle is brilliant. She provided exactly what I asked for & she was honest about any limitations. She is timely & professional. The other girls working in the shop are friendly & professional as well. I intend to continue patronizing this business.

My very first time going . My appointment was at 8:30 that morning and I didn't leave til 4:30pm. I love my hair. As you can see I took a before and after picture. I'm really disappointed and upset about my hair coming out at the top from the braids. Don't know if it was the type of hair or because it was pulling cause it was tight. Very disappointed ☹️☹️☹️

Went in on Monday & was an able to get my hair braided that Tuesday morning. My hair is super short & they were able to catch it..the braids are very best & not tight! I’ll definitely be returning!!

I have come to this location several times to hair services and have had pretty good experiences. However, this time left a bad taste in my mouth and I am considering taking my business elsewhere. Never had any complaints from staff about washing and blow drying my hair until today, and I pay the $10 every time. While finishing my hair, I get approached and publicly lectured in front of 5 other clients about how I could potentially hold up customers by 2 hours and need to pay up to $50 extra for detangling in the future. I have NEVER needed 2 hours to detangle my hair in this shop, 15 min at most. I offered to pay next time and the girl doing my hair laughed/scoffed. My hair has not changed since I started coming here and never had this complaint before now. So why start now? I don't know her name, but on my last visit, one of the other staff members was so gentle and took her time and didn't make me feel like my hair was a burden. If I could have her guaranteed every visit, I would love that and pay her more for her service. If this business needs the extra money due to the economy, just raise prices all around the board and get extra money from everyone equally instead of singling me out for having thick hair that I can't control. I shouldn't have to have my hair halfway done before paying money I barely have to someone else - and then get hit with never before seen fees and warnings.

My hair looks amazing! I was a last minute person and the service was 100 percent from the moment I walked in late on a Sunday. I have no complaints, just excited about my next appointment for more braids. Me and my braids are ready for any tropical vacation. Thank you for my new new!

They were able to squeeze me in for a last-minute appointment before I head off to a work trip and they were so great! They are efficient, professional, and lovely — proof that black women do everything well. I’ll definitely be back. I looked like a whole new woman when I left! Not to mention appropriately priced and as someone who has gotten their hair braided for years, I can tell these will last and look great for the duration of the wear. Thanks again!
