had a great experience here with paul! he did a balayage for me which came out super nice and was very friendly and kind through the treatment. the price is very reasonable and i left feeling very happy with my hair.

Paul is a wizard!!! This was the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. Paul listened to what I was looking for & gave some advice based on my hair type… the end result is amazing. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely be back! I didn’t catch the name of the other hair stylist there but his client walked out with a stunning cut & style too so I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them. Thanks, Paul!

Ardian is the best. He has done my hair now for the past few years and he is amazing with cuts and with blonde color. The salon is so nice and peaceful. I love it here.

I was in desperate need of a cut and haven't found d a salon I like in the UES yet. They had an evening appointment, so I snatched it up! Paul totally understood what I wanted and cut my hair perfectly! I've had so many compliments. One of the best cuts I've had in NYC!

For years I have mistreated my hair. Ardian is simply AMAZING. Not only talented with color correction but I trust nobody else with cutting my hair. And the service is fantastic. I never have to wait and he has me in and out of the chair in NY minute.

I made a 4pm Sunday (wish everybody hate) emergency called for my hair color fixing, went in with a completely terrible uneven bleached spot and color I did at home. Paul was there to save my life and made the outcome look beyond fabulous. Will only go to this place from now on.

Love this salon so much. Found them through the amazing Groupon deal and went back because of their service and amazing work! Prices are extremely fair for nyc and not to mention, both Ardian and Paul are incredibly talented but also so kind. You will absolutely enjoy your time getting beautiful hair. Highly recommend and will continue to visit!

Paul always finishes the appointment with the most beautiful looks and always the perfect shade blend towards my balayage. I do not mind the heavy traffic commute from New Jersey to New York to get the service here.

I have been seeing Paul for balayage, toner and cuts for two years. I have referred him to everyone I know and they are also very happy with their hair. I love how my hair comes out every time. Here are some photos of my balayage and cut from today. It always grows in so natural looking. I have never had faster service. I am usually in and out in under 2 hours. He’s the best! Gladis is also awesome. She put me to sleep today while washing my hair. I loved it!

Echoing several of the other reviewers sentiments...made an appointment using their online booking system two weeks in advance AND called to confirm. The man on the phone said I was all set. I travelled 45 minutes to get to the salon, only for them to tell me that my appointment didn't exist. Even worse, the woman at check in was extremely indignant and exasperated with me. I'm sure they do a fine job/the groupon is a great deal, but it's not worth the headache.

It's too bad the customer service rep from the morning of March 3, 2022, was rude, disrespectful, and impatient - she hung up on me for no real reason. If I am going to call and make an appt and spend $400 on my hair, the least she can do is maintain respect, courtesy, and learn how to greet customers who call the salon. i.e., "Good Morning, how may I help you?" Duhhhh! It's unfortunate because I wanted to return to the stylist who took care of me - he shouldn't have to suffer because of one bad customer service rep.

Paul is AMAZING! The last stylist who colored my hair at a different salon really botched it. Paul talked me out of highlights and into a balayage based on what I wanted and explained everything before he did it. He gave me a bunch of useful info on taking care of my hair. The salon is very clean and pleasant to spend a few hours in and the results were incredible. I’m so glad I went here and will definitely be back in the future. So thankful to Paul because I finally love my hair again!

I trust him with all things hair- he rescued my horribly botched balayage from another salon and delivered the most perfect coloring that myself and all my friends and family won’t stop obsessing over. This was the worst hair experience of my LIFE!! I spend $400 for my hair to be absolutley fried!! I came in for a balayage and Ardian ( who says hes the owner) sets me up with what had to be an absolute rookie at doing hair. Just look at the pictures!!! My scalp was burning so bad and the streaky patch job was a poor excuse for a balayage. I was crying and Ardian told me I can pay for him to fix it. So basically I pay $400 for your staff to fry my hair and put ridiculous stripes then you expect me to pay you AGAIN to fix it?! HE WAS SO RUDE!! HE LITERALLY TOLD ME TO MY FACE THAT THE GIRL IS NEW, BUT HE CANNOT FIX IT UNLESS I PAY AN ADDITIONAL 400! NASTY ATTITUDE AND KEPT MOVING CLOSER TOWARD ME AS HE WAS SPEAKING TO INTIMIDATE ME! NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HAD TO PAY $800 TO FIX THE DAMAGE FROM THIS SALON! HE IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING IN HIS BEHAVIOR AND TREATMENT TO ME. In reply to the owners response: you are a compulsive liar. I paid CASH. How on earth could i have a groupon when groupons are redeemed before service? Im clearing sitting in your salin chair with my hair ruined by your staff who you say is no longer employed there ( i wonder why, maybe too many ppl experiencing what i did at the hands of your salon) furthermore i was the one in tears , but nice try to distort what acrually happened. Its okay, ppl can see through the B.s. abd decide for themselves. I went to a fantastic salon after this tragedy and they fixed my hair. As a business owner you should have some accountability and take reaponsibility instead of lying. just look at ALL the other ppl who rated 1 star that had their hair ruined by your salon!! GOODLUCK!!!

What a phenomenal experience! I’ve been in NYC for 2 years and have not been able to find a place that I’m happy with.. until now. Paul gave me the most beautiful blonde balayage and cut. I can’t stop staring in the mirror and touching it! It’s been a very long time since my hair has looked and felt this healthy. The salon is very clean and modern, and every single person was so welcoming and nice. I literally have no complaints, everything was amazing and I can’t wait to go back for my next appointment.

I came here for a color correction. My hair was completely destroyed after a balayage at another salon. Paul was patient and explained what could be done to immediately correct the color and took the time to walk me through what is needed going forward. I recently returned for root touch up. Paul adjusted the color leaving my hair healthy and gorgeous. I have gone to the top salons in New York, including Warren Tricomi and Oscar Blandi - Paul at A&G is now my go to colorist.
