Worst kinky twist ever paid 200 they are bulky and are falling out and coming loose never again I have never braid this much for my hair to be serviced and less than 2 weeks later it looks horrible

Being from a place where braiders are readily available it was hard for me to find a braider here. It took me weeks to make a decision and I decided to try out Akome🙂. I was able to get an appointment when I needed it. Her and I discussed the idea I had for my braids as well if my texture would be good for what I want and she did my hair exactly how I wanted. I enjoyed her hands in my head, her braids are firm but not tight. I'm glad I found my braiding stylist☺️👏

Initially my braids came out fine and I wanted to wait a few weeks to do a review, but it's been 6 days and my hair isn't holding. The box braids along my edges were braided with a lot of hair which hung on to a few strands of my natural hair. 2 braids along my edges are snatched out because the braids were too heavy hanging onto a small portion of my hair. I wanted medium size braids so I'll be able to style them, but they're bulky and the braids at the back of my hair are much bigger. I live in Atlanta and had no choice while I was in town other than to get my hair done there. I won't be going back for box braids especially after paying $200 for something that should've been 150 based on size and length. Also the braids are too big to put in one ponytail and some very loose at the back after only 6 days.

Very unprofessional my niece went there and got her hair braided in two braids with what supposed to be a part down the middle. She gets home and I asked her what's wrong with her hair, the part is not straight and her hair is outside the braid nor was her colored hair tucked. I called to speak with the lady she tells me her hair is coming out because it's natural and I tell her my niece has always been natural and her hair never looked the way it did and then the lady over talked and disconnected the call. I went to the shop and she left and then I came the next day she didn't show up. The shop needs to be shut down for poor service!

This is the worst place EVER!!!! I went to Akome to have my micros taken out. First of all the whole time i was there all the did was speak French. The older lady who was taking my hair out was cuttin my braids pretty short. Wen i told her she said she was nowhere near my hair. Once my hair was completely finish i felt like i was bald-headed. Normally my hair is down my back. Now my hair doesn even reach my shoulders. I would not recommend anyone going to this shop. Once i got home and blowed my hair to see the actual damage i tried to call the owner back, she was very rude and hung up the phone on me. I have filed a complaint with SC Cosmetology Board. Please save yourself the hassle and time. This place is TERRIBLE!!!

very horrible service!!! they speak in french the entire time u are there...i was told my braids would take 4 hours ended up being there 9 hrs. then i asked what was taking so long she told me they wanted to make sure my hair was right!!! i paid for the 200 braids and asked several times will my middle be the same! The braider said that if i got the 200 braids mi middle would be slightly bigger than what i paid for which was fine. In the end i ended up having braids that was braided to the scalp like cornrows and they were 3x's bigger than the 160 braids. I called the shop owner whom said they would fix my hair!! Guess what it is 3 weeks later and my hair hasnt been fixed or have i heard from her. I wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone!!!
