Had a haircut here and scheduled another. Cut was good. Did as I asked and interpreted the photos I brought as inspiration. My appointment was on time and was pleasant. Salon is clean, modern, and well stocked. I really enjoyed the experience.

Great place! The hair stylists are kind and really care about you and what you want with your hair. The place is very stylish and hip and appears to serve a broad range of clientele. My stylist is Taylor and she does an amazing job with color!!!!

Highly Recommend!!! Had a GREAT experience at Alberta’s Modern Hair in Mt Lebo!!! It is a beautiful salon inside and they made us feel very comfortable with their COVID-19 safety protocols. I booked a hair cut and color appt for both myself and my sister. They were able to accommodate, to get both of us in at the same time.. even after my sister and I had some scheduling/time complications, the receptionist ( I think name was Noelle) couldn’t have been more kind and accommodating. Monica did my sisters hair color, highlights and a cut. My sister is totally in LOVE with the results! Taylor did full highlights on my huge head of hair and a cut.. and she really took her time to make sure it was perfect..and it seriously is!!! Both my sister and I like to go blonder from our brown hair.. and it is not easy to find skilled stylists who can get it several shades lighter in 1-2 sessions! Some places I’ve gone to, it took MANY sessions to get the lightening/blonde color that I received from Taylor in just one session!! Both Monica and Taylor seriously do amazing work!!! If you are in the Mt Lebo/South Hills area, definitely call this place for an appt and ask for Monica or Taylor!!! You won’t be disappointed!

Monica is MAGICAL! I came to her with a general idea, and told her to take some creative liberty with my hair, and it came out PERFECTLY! She even managed to get my hair cowlicks to behave, which is no small feat let me tell you. I'll definitely be coming to Monica for the foreseeable future ❤

One of the best hair salons in Pittsburgh. The owner, Larry, gives time and attention to create a beautiful creative cut. His staff is friendly, on trend, and talented. Plus, the salon itself has a unique Bauhaus decor. Highly recommended.

I just tried this salon for the first time, best cut I have had in a while. I have thick hair in a pixie cut, and my stylist, Jen, did a great job of thinning it out, texturizing and shaping it.

I never leave reviews but this was the Worst salon experience I have ever had. My stylist (I don't remember her name) was rude to me right off the bat. She made absolutely no attempt to make conversation with me and when I tried to make conversation with her she gave me yes or no answers (isn't conversation part of a stylists job?). Then when I tried to say anything about my Hair or what I wanted her to change she acted flustered and irritated and didn't do what I asked at all. On top of all of that, my hair looks horrible.

LOVE!! I have never in my life gotten so many compliments on my hair. Everyone asks me where I go and I always let them know about the salon. It's gorgeous, and the staff is amazing. They always know the newest styles and trends, not to mention I'm a natural brunette who always requests platinum blonde hair lol which is not that easy to achieve!! But my hair looks amazing every single time.

Seriously, you get to have your own personal hair trimming best friend coming here. The service is impeccable, and the workers are incredibly talented. I reccomend my own hairstylist, Taylor. The place is with my complete respect! Alberta Modern helped with my father's wedding and gave me a hair transformation I loved. 5 stars!

I absolutely LOVE Alberta Modern Hair! It has taken me forever to find a place that actually knows the art of cutting fine hair. I was directed to go straight to Marinna and she did AMAZING! She saved me from the embarrassing bald spot a previous shop had given me (See La Te Da Reviews for that wild one!). It was everything I have ever wanted and more. Even my mom stopped by to compliment my stylist on her great work. I have been going there for over a year now and have started to take my grandmother as well. We both love everyone's kind personalities and knowledge. We will continue to go and recommend this spot to everyone. Enjoy!!

Alberta Modern Hair does an amazing job. I have gone there for almost 10 years now and they have never let me down. All of there hairdressers pay SUCH attention to detail and give you exactly what you want. In addition, I have received several updos there and they were always beautiful. If you are on a budget, some of the newer (but still very talented!) hairdressers only charge around $30 for a haircut. Give it a try, you will not regret it!
