I have been seeing Krista for over six years for all cut and color and simply put: she is the best of the best! Krista really listens to me to get my cut and color right every time - and I swap my hair style and color up a lot! Her shampoo skills are next level and always include a glorious head massage! Thank you for six years of great service Krista :)

Cia is an awesome stylist. The people are super friendly and down to earth. Relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. It's never too crowded.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I went in to buy some new products. Upon entering, I was not greeted but didn't mind as I wanted to browse. After finding what I wanted, I approached the counter and waited. I looked around and noticed that the stylists were busy working with clients, so I continued waiting. Eventually, another employee (Asian male) came in and started to do some cleaning. When he approached the counter, I started to ask for some help, but was interrupted. He told me to give him a minute which was fine as I could see him wrapping up. I waited another 30 minutes, turned around, and saw him huddled in the back playing on his laptop. I continued to wait past an hour and proceeded to leave. Highly would not recommend this spot because there will be no service at all. They even advertise accepting walk-ins but this is definitely NOT the case. Steer clear of this salon. I would recommend a salon down the block called Salon Nine. They are quick to help and provide personalized recommendations!

The space is awesome. Brittany is a natural and I'm always extremely happy with my cuts. I even tried a natural balayage for the first time (never dyed my hair, that's how much I trust her) and was happy with it, it looked like I had spent a summer in the sun. As long as I live in SF, I'll be a loyal customer here.

Went there for the first time after googling hair salons near my place. So nice and professional. Sam created exactly what I had in mind, even better than what I imagined actually! Can’t wait to go back when I need a refresh! My husband also went to get a men’s hair cut and I love how it looks on him. A very successful visit! 😊

Booked appointment the week prior to see a particular stylist that has cut my hair. Was left a vm, day of, at lunch that my appointment was cancelled. Went directly to the appointment without checking my vm’s to find the stylist left because they “don’t cut men’s hair”. Total F and utterly unprofessional. Will not return

Love this salon and love my new cut from Travis. He took a long time for the consultation to make sure he got it just right and exceded my expectations. The long layers lay perfectly, are light (like I asked) and are really easy to style. You won't regret going to see Travis for your cut and Ricky for your color!! Everyone that works at the salon is so welcoming and nice, it was a great experience!

I have been going to Lauren Sampere at Alcheme salon for over a year. She is amazing! Damn I'm slaying with this grey balayage color and hawt new layers! Lauren never disappoints. I always love my cut and color. I trust her fully with my hair which is a first for me and a hair artist. 💕 The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and has snacks. It is located downtown and is super near the muni and bart.

I think my hair says it all. Alcheme is the only salon I go to in SF for both cut, color and product. Lauren is my hair artists/stylist. Book ahead if you want to get creative - and don't hold back! Seriously, consider stop browsing and consider this your new salon. This is my fourth rainbow by Lauren at Alcheme and it's my favorite. Inspired by the geothermal Pools in Yellowstone (I literally texted lauren pictures from Montana of the geysers) she custom created this 9 color pallet. You can see more of her work @thetravelingbalayage on Instagram. Mention you saw Savannah's rainbow when you book ;) (Don't worry- if wild color isn't your thing she's excellent at everything else too) Having my hair done here gives me the confidence I need to be ready on camera and on stage. It's truly the first time my hair has made me feel awesome!
