I got a gift card for Christmas, i just had my first facial. What an amazing experience. Super sweet and friendly staff! Atmosphere is professional yet relaxing! I cant wait to go back. Thank you to the team at Alexanders!!

So disappointed in the customer service and business practices! Every time there are exorbitant prices for the same services or lesser services here—with undisclosed add-on costs for toners and blowing hair dry after hair coloring. Nick is especially rude and should not be allowed to answer the phone—he told me to “come down and get it” when I requested a receipt for my daughter’s services. Any other salon is a better option than Alexander’s in Scranton—who suffers from unfortunate delusions of grandeur. My family is taking our business elsewhere. Also, I’ll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for unethical business practices.

I got a facial for the first time and April was amazing! She really took her time, was informative, and you could tell she really enjoys her job. I left with glowing skin and feeling extremely relaxed!

I paid 120.00 dollars for a deep tissue massage. It was the worse massage I ever had. The man that gave it was bored. He yawned multiple times and he rubbed my back. And the room was cold. The salon itself is beautiful and the steam room is great. But if you want a massage do not go there! You want a good deep tissue massage see Lou at relaxing massage. I only went in because I had a gift card.

So bummed. I haven’t been here in years and won’t be back. I went today for a gel mani/pedi. It hasn’t even been 12 hours and the polish on my big toe is already half off. It’s gel, this should be on for weeks. The mani also lasted all of like 8 minutes with nails I had to file evenly at home. Feel like I wasted my money

This place is neither professional nor luxurious—it's a complete dump. I took my son in for a perm, you know, actual curls, but all they did was mess up his hair, making it look like he just rolled out of bed. I asked for a fix but all they told me was to go to another salon because they didn't want to deal with it. I’m glad I walked out without paying a dime for their unprofessional service. They seriously need to go back to beauty school.

I wish I can give zero stars. I made an appointment for my friend and myself for her birthday. Her dad passed away due to a long fight with heart disease and I am battling health issues myself. We ended up canceling our appointments, when I explain to the staff why we’re canceling and that we were sorry due to the issues we are facing, the staff had no human compassion AT ALL! When I asked to speak with the manager she stated to me “ that the representative that called me was not wrong with no showing any compassion and that I don’t know if she have anything going on in her life.” I stated to the manager that “ It does not cost anything from a human to have compassion and human decency.” To future customers I just want you to be advised where you are spending your hard earned money and the type of people you are giving your money to. Shame on you Alexandria’s spa!

Got a massage and facial with my wife, and sister for a celebration. We loved the services and atmosphere. Shout out to Jessica (my masseuse) and Norma (fascial). Highly recommend Alexander's Salon & Spa and these two ladies for a relaxing time.

Alexander’s used to be the place. Now it’s resting in its laurels. I don’t take this low rating lightly. I moved back to the area and booked a massage in April. I had a terrible experience where they then comped a massage with a different Therapist a week later. She was amazing. I immediately rebooked her specifically for three months out. I then come in today for that massage and was greeted in the relaxation room by a different therapist. I explained to her that she’s not who I should be with, then she came back after speaking with the manager saying this is my only option even though I specifically booked with a different therapist. I was never contacted that my thearapist changed and given the option to cancel without penalty. The massage was about - 4/10 plus the room was right next to the relaxation room where I could hear the manager trying to sell someone products. I immediately came out of any relaxation I started to feel. I then went to checkout. No apology, no explanation, no discount, then she asked if I wanted to rebook. No way in hell would I rebook. This is two screw ups on thier end in three months. Heather is who I wanted to have again and if she goes to another spa, I’ll go see her, but NEVER to Alexander’s again.

Recently, I enjoyed a Spa Sampler half-day experience at Alexander Salon & Spa in Scranton, and it was the best spa experience I’ve had. The sampler is great for salon regulars or first timers, offering a taste of everything the salon/spa has to offer. It’s the Alexander staff that really make the experience though. Everyone is so courteous, knowledgeable and professional. A huge shout out to Norma, Lulu, and especially Eileen for providing exceptional service and care. You are so great at what you do and thank you for making my experience unforgettable.

I always appreciated the service and staff. Wonderful spa setting. Full range of services. Parking at the mall w a short walk to the salon. High quality of products. I like the samples that I have always been given to try healthy skin options. I usually get a few at a time which is just right. The licensed staff always discuss best products as an ongoing guide to proper daily care.

Used to be a fan. Went there for over 10 years. Only to realize their stylists change quickly, as do their prices. I'll sum it up now. Last time I went this year, (my regular stylist left) I told new stylist I wanted long layers and caramel highlights. I only wish I still had before and after pics. When all was done, my hair was almost exactly the same. Went downstairs to pay and they said it's $250.00. I'll repeat, $250.00 for the same style and color I went in with. When they told me the price, I said just a sec, I want to see if the street sign says Rodeo Drive. Nope, I'm on Lackawanna Avenue in Scranton, PA. and I said but there's no visible highlights. Then, a real witch said to me, you're always complaining, you should go elsewhere. (I never complained in over a decade.). They're not the only game in town. And you don't have to tell me to go elsewhere, why would I EVER come back.

I wish I could leave a better review because I normally like this place, but I got a lash lift/tint and couldn’t tell the difference at all, they looked maybe a bit curled but definitely not worth the 90$ I was charged. The woman who did it for me was nice, but I feel like she shouldn’t have charged me when she saw that it didn’t really work.
