This place is our favorite. My wife and I come here frequently and the service is always top notch with pedicures. My wife also does manicures and we've done massages too. Shout out Ivy and Tammy - they are the ABSOLUTE BEST! So sweet, kind, and incredible at their jobs.

I feel so lucky to live down the block from Allyu! I try to come for a massage every couple of months or so, and have had consistently positive experiences. As others have noted, the spa is very clean, and has a nice ambiance. Each of my massage therapists has been friendly, attentive, and skilled - I saw Brittny today for a 60-minute massage, and left feeling SO relaxed. The folks at the front desk have also demonstrated a high level of customer service! Side note: Taking a look at the reviews here, I think it's obvious which customers have little to no experience in spa settings and/or were having a bad day when they came in. (I.e., if you want a therapist of a certain gender, you need to ASK for that as your appointment is being booked. If you don't like the pressure during a massage, you need to SAY something.) Take it from the real ones who come here consistently - Allyu is excellent!

I’ve been to about 10 different spas in Chicago (plus suburbs) and this is my fave by far. Such a beautiful setting, great customer service, amazing misc items for sale, and good quality massages. Highly recommended!

This place is my favorite spa in Chicago! Had a wonderful reflexology pedicure with June and an amazing facial with Jackeline today and I feel like a new human! The space is clean, smells amazing and has great energy. Try them out, you won’t be disappointed!

First visit, I was able to book on-line a couple days ahead, which I find really convenient. There were plenty of openings and clearly they had a lot of therapists working there. I had several reminder texts, to make sure I wasn't going to forget (the post Covid annoyance, getting five texts reminding about a reminder, etc - this is not a ding on them it is ever service in general). The day of the massage, I did receive a phone call, letting me know they had a scheduling problem due to an illness, would I be ok with a male v female (typical preference) - I appreciated the call ahead letting me decide beforehand. The actual spa is beautiful, laid out to provide a nice experience for the customer and provide a relaxing time. My massage was great, he listened to what I needed done, was interactive when necessary and let me be otherwise. All in all, 9.5 / 10, I will definitely go back, especially since it is about half a block down the riverwalk.

We went because our manager paid massage and manicure, but when we check out the guy tried to charge us for tips and other thing, but I said everything was paid even the tip, I think he tried to gain some money for him, ‘cause you supposed to know, and the manicure they said no time for what I want so pay attention in your personal there, massage was so good thank you

I got a manicure here. Extra $15 charge to take off gel is a bit much. I’ve had better manicures for cheaper. I would suggest skipping mani pedi here unless you have money to blow. I would stick to massages and facials and other services here, but won’t be back for nail services.

I have been going to Allyu spa since 2014 and have always been happy with the front desk snd spa services, overall nice customer service. I went for a 90 minute relaxing massage. When I arrived I told the masseuse that I wanted a relaxing massage and low pressure. Instead I received a sports massage that was equal parts stretching and massage. When I finished I told the front desk I wasn’t happy with the service as I asked for something different than I received and the lady at the front desk replied by saying “Sorry to hear that. Would you like to leave a tip?” I didn’t want to hold up the line so I paid, added a tip, and left. About two hours or so I called and asked for manager. When the manager got on the line I explained my experience and told her I’ve been a long time customer and would like some sort of resolution as my bill came to $350, which is not an insignificant amount. I also explained I’d be scheduling more massages for October. She said she couldn’t anything but would have another manager call me on Tuesday to try and address this. It is about to be Thursday and I have not heard from anyone at the spa. Be weary that if you go you may not get what you asked for and it may not get addressed if you speak up. Update I did get call from the spa on 9/6/2024 offering apologies and a gift card for the next service.

I planned a bachelorette for 10 people at Allyu Spa. Everything went great! All the planning was done ahead of time. The girls were able to choose from massages, facials or mani/pedi. All the staff were friendly, nice and super helpful.

I went yesterday for my birthday and I didn’t had a pleasant experience , and I am also visiting only for few days and flew in all the way from Florida. I booked online my appointment for a scalp/head massage plus 60min massage. A male masseuse greeted me and asked me to undress and be under the covers to start a massage. I did not know it would be a man doing it. The last thing I wanted for my birthday was a man touching me. I could also tell that he was nervous speaking with me while giving me the directions inside of the room. So he proceed and did the scalp/head massage, which he put too much pressure and it was more painful than anything, while I was stressed out for the fact he would be doing the body massage after. He pulled all my hair hard in the end, he asked if that felt good and I said no. I said it was too strong. Then he went and did it again….. after the painful session was finally over, I told him I would not be doing the body massage as I was feeling uncomfortable that a man would be touching my body, and I asked to cancel. As I was getting ready for the shower (my hair was a big mess and full of oil, so I had to wash my hair), he said no manager was at the spa anymore and that they would try to contact someone else to solve my issue. After I was done with the shower I saw on the clock it was almost 7:30pm. When I left the shower a female masseuse did greet me and said she was available to do the body massage. Fine, the only thing they didn’t tell me is that they close at 8:00pm and that I would be getting 30min massage, which in the end they made me pay for full 60min massage. Not only my birthday experience was frustrating, I had to pay full price for 30min massage. I’m trying now to cancel my reflexology session that I booked and there is no option on their website or email for that. They only open at 10am and they charge 50% fee if you don’t cancel upfront. The only way to cancel is by calling them during their business hours.

My friend and I were visiting from Canada and came across the spa while looking to book massages. We each went in for a treatment and both agree we had the best experiences. She had a hot stone massage which she said was one of the best she’d ever had. I saw Jenn who listened to my areas of concern, checked in regularly on how I was feeling, and gave not only an incredible massage but also provided additional tips to address a pinched nerve/shoulder issue causing me pain. I highly recommend Jenn, and only wish I lived in Chicago so could go regularly. Beautiful vibe in the waiting area and staff were very friendly at reception. Will be back next time I’m in Chicago!

Everytime i am at allyu, i love it. I legitimately LOVE my experience with the meditation room, a full body 90 min massage. The experience from front to back feels like a space to actually relax and reset. We deserve that

I got a facial and a scalp treatment. The facial was ok...I didn't find it to be not worth the premium price. The scalp treatment was actually painful, like my hair was being pulled out. All the employees were nice.

I went to Allyu for my birthday last week and had a fantastic time. My masseur was very professional and did a great job. I left feeling lighter and relaxed. Definitely need to come back soon.

June aka six was great! I got a manicure and a reflexology pedicure with hot stones and the entire experience was very relaxing and my hands and feet feel brand new. I enjoyed the space a lot and will be back for a massage next time. Beautiful spa

My husband and I scheduled our first visit to the spa for our anniversary weekend. We were pleased with the ambiance of the salon but sadly very disappointed with the scalp massage. We were in separate rooms but came out feeling the same disappointment once we discussed how we felt after paying our bill. Both ladies poured oil in our hair but that’s it. Nothing close to a massage was done. We’ve both had monthly body messages at another place and decided to visit Allyu for something new and different. I guess it’s definitely different when you pay for a scalp massage and just smelly oil poured on instead. The body scrub was nice but not anything I’d ever do again. The 3 stars I’m giving is for the vibe and pleasant employees.

Tiara was fantastic! You can tell she loves what she does and is very gifted. I had a body polish and facial - what an extraordinary experience. The vibe at Allyu was friendly and very relaxed. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic massage with Marie. The space is very tranquil and meditative throughout with thoughtful interior decor. I’d recommend especially for decompressing and relief.

I enjoyed my experience. All staff were welcoming and professional, and the spa itself was lovely and relaxing. I far preferred the facial to the massage, however. I'm used to massage lotion, not oil, and I felt a little greasy even after the shower. I also didn't realize that the scalp massage included oil, it was overwhelming. The scalp massage was nice, but not worth having to shampoo so many times.

TERRIBLE, ****Gianni’s****who I booked my daughter’s birthday massage with, he was very rude and disrespectful. My husband and daughter have been previous customers, can’t believe how bad this place has become. They don’t care about their loyal client's anymore, just worried about collecting cancellation, penalty fee’s. We wouldn’t be back to play games how you run this spa, so sad to see.
