MOMS!!!! If you are a new mom….. an overstimulated mom…. an over touched mom… a mom that just needs a place to escape YOU NEED TO GO TO Alter Ego Haircolor and Design Studio for their Antigravity pedicure! You are in a quiet room just you and your technician. They give you noise canceling headphones that play zen music, you get an eye mask to block out light, a heating pad and a blanket. You sit an antigravity chair that sits you up right and slowly throughout the process has you leaned back. This is no normal pedicure this is a LUXURY pedicure! You get hot stones, oil leg massage, they massage your foot with rocks, you get hot towels multiple times wrapped around your legs, you get a scrub rub and etc. this all took about an hour. You are so relaxed that they give you an additional 5 minutes in the chair just to bring you back to reality. This is hands down the BEST luxury pedicure I have EVER HAD! I usually drive 30 minutes for my pedicures but I will no longer have to do that thanks to Alter Ego!

OMG I LOVE MY HAIRCUT! But even more I love Madison Bartgis— my stylist!! This is the second time I’ve been to Alter Ego, 1st time for the Yumi head spa which was AMAZING— run, don’t walk for that service!! And now with Madison for my cut/ style. She was so sweet, listened, and made me feel like this was a collaboration between me, her, and what my actual hair was capable of. I am SO EXCITED to say I’ve found my salon home 🥹 Thank you Alter Ego!!!

The head spa treatment is the real deal! The experience was so relaxing, and my normally dry hair came out soft and hydrated. I'm coming back again for sure!

I received the Yume service that included a facial and foot bath by Maddie the Esthetician, and it was fantastic!!! I knew it would be relaxing, but having your scalp cared for in this service is on another level of amazing! Maddie does a great job reviewing your scalp health, which may sound off putting, but it's done in a professional non-judgemental manner. The facial felt so good, amazing how different you feel touching your amazing skin afterwards. The foot bath at the end ties it up in a bow. It allows you to come up slowly out of the transformative state that Maddie induces. Treat yourself or it could be a great gift for a well deserving friend!!!

I recently visited Alter Ego and I’m extremely happy with my haircut. Erin is incredibly talented. She listened attentively to my requests and offered valuable suggestions. The salon's friendly and welcoming atmosphere made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire visit. I am beyond satisfied with my experience. I've been going to Alter Ego for just over a year after deciding to take my hair styling more seriously. I went from being one of those guys that had unremarkable hair to receiving compliments almost daily. Recently Alter Ego has expanded and added a scalp massage relaxation room. You are put into into a very dark room with relaxing music, while your hair is shampooed, softened, and brushed. It gives off a lot of ASMR vibes and is so relaxing you wouldn't be faulted for falling asleep during the procedure. Afterwards my hair looked even more soft than usual (something my friends immediately noticed and commented on before I even told them what I had done). Overall I can highly recommend every procedure, hair cut, color and scalp massage I have received.

Madison did an incredible job styling my hair for my wedding. It lasted all night and was even still curly when I was headed on my honeymoon the next day after sleeping on it. It was a very windy day and my hair held in place and looked gorgeous for my outdoor ceremony. Madison took time to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted during my trial appointment, so on the big day it was easy and everyone was on the same page. On top of making me look gorgeous she also made sure I was comfortable and relaxed through the whole process. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and love my pictures and huge part of that was Madison getting my vision just right! If you’re looking for someone to handle your wedding this is the spot!

I have been getting my hair done at Alter Ego for over a decade. The staff are professional, kind, courteous and incredibly talented. I had the pleasure of experiencing the Yume Head Spa recently and I have to say: you owe it to yourself to have this treatment done. Indulge in a combination of scalp massage, aromatherapy, calming ambience and deep cleansing (physically AND spiritually if you're into that!) all wrapped up in a convenient hour long session. I look forward to booking my next session in the near future. Treating myself to a luxuriating spa experience after a long work week just got a lot easier.

Able to squeeze me in same day and staff was willing to talk my hair ideas through in detail before starting without me ever feeling rushed along. Got my hair cut and colored just the way I wanted (took two color coats to get the color I was looking for) and I left feeling great about my new look. The owner Erin is particularly lovely. Highly recommend!

Alter Ego is amazing! The color/ cut and pampering are on point every time. I didn’t think they could get any better until they added the Yume Head Spa. Caylin did an amazing job creating the perfect environment. Everything from the super relaxing chair to the scalp massage , personalized hair products and steam treatment were just amazing. Definitely worth it!

The one-hour session was not only incredibly relaxing, but every aspect of the experience was thoughtfully curated. Juliana worked absolute ✨magic✨ on my hair tonight, after getting my hair done at another salon I came to Alter Ego and I will 100% be going back! I had yellow banding, uneven saturation in my roots, with roots still visible and Juliana was able to make my hair look brand new again. I cannot recommend this shop, or her, enough.

Love this place! People are nice, place is clean and inviting. Julianna is so talented. She corrected my bleach blonde that someone else had done so wrong and now I get complements all the time. Highly recommend.
