Massage isn’t worth the price at all. They also charge a mandatory 20% tip even if your massage doesn’t deserve that. We asked if we could use cash for tip, they told us yes and then charged our card anyway. Would recommend finding another place- the service is dissapointing for the price $250 for a 50min massage.

Mediocre experience at a premium price. Came here over the holidays and had a massage. My masseuse was friendly and did a decent job, but I was shorted at least 10 minutes of the actual massage. By the time I was taken up to the room, had everything explained to me and laid down it was 7 minutes after the hour, and once the massage was over and I was dressed, I checked my phone and it was 47 after the hour - so at most I received a 40 min massage, but it was too late to ask for the time to be made up. To top it off they automatically add 20% gratuity and "tell you" when you are checking out which pressures you into leaving a higher tip even if you aren't satisfied with the service. When you charge premium rates (twice as much as a regular masseuse) for your service, you should deliver premium service and at a minimum give a full 50 min massage to your clients.

Nice spa and breakdown grounds. The service was great, and the room I had for my massage was beautiful. The waiting area for the service needed attention and was uncomfortable. The women's jacuzzi also needed attention and good cleaning. The pool area was nice, but the staff were busy taking instead of waiting on the guests. It was not that busy, and we waited a long time for service and change. We didn't spend a long time after our service like we normally do because the amenities were average. The grounds are beautiful.

I booked my boyfriend and I two 50-minute massages at 4 pm from a Groupon deal. My massage therapist called me back 12 minutes after 4pm, after walking up the stairs and getting undressed, the massage started at 4:15 or after and it ended at 4:51 pm. She asked about areas to focus/ avoid but did not ask about pressure or depth. She provided light to medium pressure. I enjoyed the scalp massage but overall she seemed checked out and like she was trying to rush through it. I know it was the end of the day, she is human, and being a massage therapist is physically and mentally exhausting which I am understanding of, but my experience was subpar due to this…especially because I only ended up getting a ~36 minute massage that was advertised at 50 minutes. My boyfriend said his male massage therapist was nice and personable and his massage started at 4pm and ended the same time as mine. For the price point of >$170 for my 36-minute massage, I would not book again and would not recommend

Alvadora Spa, nestled within the Royal Palms Resort, boasts beautiful facilities that perfectly capture a Spanish Hacienda feel. The space is clean and open, with calming lighting and scents that immediately put you at ease upon entering. Check in was seamless and I was given a tour by a courteous front desk employee. However, my experience was marred by some significant issues. The relaxation area being co-ed was a deal breaker. As a woman, I felt uneasy being the only female in a room with two robed men. One kept looking at me and clearing his throat, which I found highly inappropriate and unsettling. Women need a safe, private space to fully relax, and this setup did not provide that. The massage portion of my treatment felt more like a hurried rub down rather than a thorough, relaxing massage. The additional services I paid for were also rushed, leaving me feeling short-changed. Overall, while the ambiance and aesthetics of Alvadora Spa are exceptional, the co-ed relaxation area and the subpar quality of the massage significantly detracted from my experience.

I was left with mixed emotions about the spa. They are in need of maintenance, repairs and renovations. The steam was not working and the shower I used during my treatment needed a new shower head. The locker and shower room felt crowded but the relaxation area is very welcoming. The lady who did my treatment was lovely and so was the ladies working the front desk.

Small, cozy, comfortable, clean. Just what a spa should be. The steam room was broken and closed, disappointing. Suggestion …put hangers in the lockers. Book your treatment for early in the morning when empty. Get rid of Energy Healing therapy; a complete waste of money!!!! This is my favorite spa and will return but not for Energy Healing. 😞

Receptionists are friendly and helpful and the spa is beautiful, but my massage was very disappointing. It would have disappointing if it was 1/4 of the price, but at the listed price it was just not good enough. After an abrupt halt, the massage therapist told me that she “spaced out and didn’t know what to do next”. The experience was mostly stroking and rubbing, with a few well-placed kneads in between. Not what you expect from what should be a top of the range expert. My sister-in-law had a different therapist and had an almost strangely similar experience. This has not been my experience at this exact spa in the past (on multiple occasions), so I don’t know what happened, but I would urge people to save their money and not buy here.

Appointment for 50 min deep tissue massage. Indicated want it on strong side. Massage therapist had not introduced himself. Repeated again my requests. It seems therapist deaf, can’t process info or both. After 3 corrections of pressure that he just couldn’t get right, too much pressure on my neck, was so painful I had to get up and leave after about 15-20 min of this torture. Therapist stated : you said not too deep???… his name is David Wright I got it from manager to report him to professional board or whatever Arizona has. Should be fired.

Have visited the spa twice, and although the ambiance is pleasant, it just can't compare to the amenities offered at other resort spas in the valley. The massage rooms are well appointed, but the locker room is so small with only 2 showers. Getting dressed was a crowded experience with about 24 lockers in a tiny area with one bench. The use of the resort pool was a plus, but $100 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks was overpriced

I have visited this spa twice and I REALLY want to love it, but.... the first time was April 2023. Upon arrival we were told that the pool was under construction and we could not use it. This was so diappointing, and if we had known, we probably would not have booked our spa day there that day. The gal at the front desk was very friendly, but did not offer anything to make us feel better about that. The second time I visited was Nov 2023. The pool was open! However, when we checked in for our 4 pm massages, we were told that the spa closes at 5 pm and we would need to be out for the cleaners to come. WHAT? We wanted to relax in the steam room, jacuzzi (which isn't very warm) and shower before we headed over to T Cooks for dinner. We would NEVER have scheduled a 4 pm appoinment if we knew we had to be OUT by 5:00...that's crazy! Again, nothing was offered to make us feel better. Literally, a glass of prosecco at the pool would have appeased us. The property is quaing and quiet, however, these two experiences have left me a bit dis satisfied.

I received a Groupon for Mother's Day for a massage and booked my appointment for the massage, and added a facial as well. I had access to all of the amenities at the spa for the entire day and not just for the appointment times of the services! The massage and facial were so relaxing and the staff was amazing! I spent the rest of the day after my treatments by the pool eating and enjoying a couple cocktails! I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be scheduling more services in the future!

I woke the Friday after my massage and facial with terrible back pain. I have had three adjustments so far and no relief. Be very careful with this spa for your massage. I have never had this happen before! Scared and in pain!!!

Such a lovely spa day! The resort grounds are gorgeous and our experience at the spa was exactly what we needed. My husband and I both had massages, we enjoyed the amenities (especially the steam room!) and relaxation lounge. Staff was friendly and helpful but also left us to enjoy our time. We can’t wait to come back!

The Alvadora Spa was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. I booked the Citrus Ritual Spa Treatment. From the body scrub with the water cascading from above to the massage, everything was awesome!! Would recommend this spa to anyone.

The staff makes sure ypu are doing well. The staff are always touching up the areas, to stay clean. Pleanty of towels. A few fireplaces to sit next to and enjoy the outside areas. They give you sandals, a robe, & they are plenty roomy! They definitely cover you. I am curvy, and there is plenty of room to cover myself. Very relaxing atmosphere. Steam room - I loved the showers! So spacious w/ hair products, razor, & Body washes. Lockers, an area to sit and do your make-up, a large wall mirror & 10x mirror too, Q-tips, cotton balls, hair dryer...
