I came here two years ago as part of a spa day I had planned for myself instead of having a baby shower. I was nine months pregnant. The cut was good, but it wasn’t what I asked for. I had only had 1 curly haircut before this one and they couldn’t be more opposite. I didn’t want to leave a review, but the fact that I still think about it to this day and can’t convince myself to go back two years later cemented it. I used to do the traditional LOC method. This means my hair fell on the oilier side after products (even after light application). I thought I was doing the right thing for my hair. I was pregnant back to back so my hair definitely needed a cut and some attention. I got decent hair care advice but boy did she take the opportunity to embarrass me. When I sat in her chair I felt like I was a pain, like I was being looked down upon and dirty. I also felt like a “ I don’t get paid enough for this” aura. Even though I remember paying in the ball park of $260+ (yes, I tipped well too) I have two friends that go to her and they like it, but I just can’t agree. I’m not sure why the energy/ conversation was so bad, I had never even met her before. Loads of people do the LOC method and even with freshly washed hair the ends WILL tangle because they need a trim which is why I was there in the first place. Also, not that I expect it, but usually when you’re that far along people make pleasant conversation about the obvious bowling ball you’re carrying to break the ice or make jokes or curiosity. What are you having or when are you due and move on. There was no mention of that which is fine, but there was this eerie feeling like the entire topic was taboo. At one point I couldnt be in a certain position for too long and I expressed that I had to move because it was uncomfortable and I just felt the glaring eyes. By the end of that experience I honestly just wanted to stop existing in that place and maybe now that this is out in the universe I can let this go.

Adriana is THE BEST curly stylist in Tampa Bay. I've tried a few and none like Adriana. Her services include not only cutting, color, and styling, but she also takes the time to educate you about hair care that makes sense for your hair type. You're really paying for her knowledge and attention to detail. She knows her products inside and out and will recommend only what she thinks would work best for you, she's never steered me wrong! She'll continue to be my "hair girl" as long as she'll have me!

Adriana is absolutely a master artist when it comes to curly cuts and color. She loves what she does and it shows with every client. I've learned so much in how to take care of my hair, keeping it healthy and styled. She's very personable and answers any questions I have, making the entire experience such a joy. The pictures speak for themselves! She is very coveted so trying to get an appointment quickly is nearly impossible, but she is well worth the wait if you value your curls!

I have been cutting my hair with Adrianna for about two years now and the haircut is a normal curly haircut nothing out of the ordinary. I usually don’t express my self through reviews.. however, one thing I don’t tolerate is rudeness for this reason I’m leaving a review. I kept quiet yesterday during my haircut because I had my crown in her possession. We were done with the haircut and I was happy. I only made a comment which was “I think for next time I want to try layers around my face.” She took it out of context and thought that I was unhappy with the end result and stated “well I did what you asked for which was only a little.” I have long curly hair so yes I do not like a big chop and I was expressing that for NEXT TIME I was going to challenge myself and be risky with layers. She then proceeded to say well let’s stop talking about it and let me see what I can I do. I sat back in the chair for an additional 5 mins. I left paid for my service and even tipped her 20%. My fiancé witness the whole thing and couldn’t believe I didn’t stand up for myself. I choose my battles and rather not return and leave a review so that she is aware that you can be a decent hairstylist but you must treat others right or you will lose clientele.

Love it! I'm always afraid of cutting my curly hair but my experience here was fresh, relaxing and I really felt taken care of. She knew exactly what she was talking about and proved it. She even managed to make me not afraid of hurting my hair with a hair dryer 😂

She has been my curly hair Magician for many years. I have learned how to take care if my curls better from her. I always feel heard and she gives honest input in to my style choices. Recently brought my curly haired teenage son in and he feels so great about himself after her cut and education.

Amazing service, well worth the price. I am extremely satisfied with my hair cut & the educational aspect was phenomenal. Thank you Adriana! I received a very dramatic cut & I’m very pleased. Salon was very clean, I was a little early so we started early, & she was very patient with me (I had my newborn with me). I’ve had a cut by a curl specialist before & it did not even compare to the cut I received here. She is very informed about the curly method & I learned a ton. First hair cut in my life that didn’t cause me to cry. Glad I did my research this time & trusted these reviews! Well worth it!

Adrianna is by far the best stylist for curly hair in the Tampa, Brandon, and St Pete area! I’ve gone to several others who market themselves as Deva Curl experts as well as others who say they are Ouidad experts. They were all basically the same-no real talent for curly hair. I always left disappointed and wishing I had my money back! Adrianna is Leaps and bounds ahead of all others. She knows more than just product details, she actually know how to CUT curly hair!! Usually when I finish going to other stylist, who charge the same price, I don’t feel as if they did anything that actually helped my hair look good on a daily basis! I promise you, you won’t regret going to Adrianna at A+M Beauty Lounge. It was a long journey to find her, but finally I found a superior stylist‼️My hunt is over for good! I am extremely impressed with the curly hair knowledge and expertise here - my curls have never looked better! While it is a bit pricey, in my opinion it is well worth it as they not only do an amazing job on your hair, but truly seek to teach and empower you to recreate flawless curls time and time again on your own.
