DO NOT GO HERE This was the worst hair salon experience I’ve had in my life. It’s not nice at all inside and I couldn’t see barbicide being used for any of the tools. I arrived and the guy cutting my hair pointed me to the sink and told me to get my hair washed. A different person (a lady) very very aggressively washed my hair. Then told me to go to the chair. He put a gown on me and started sectioning my hair in big chunks. He was ripping my hair apart at the ends because of the tangles and each time the hair was slapping my face. He was so aggressive with the comb it was actually very painful. There was no detangler or cream used. So he made a few cuts wet. Then told me he would dry it and finish it. No heat protectant was used. He blasted the hair dryer on my hair, giving me a “blowout” with my hair actually steaming the entire time. He made a couple of more useless cuts. Then said I was done. I think online it priced the haircut as $75. When he checked me out he didn’t ask if I liked it or really say anything. He charged my card $107. There was no option for tip. My hair is now completely fried and it looks virtually the same. For $107. I arrived at 3:23 and was done by 3:59. Run from this place.

Eli is fantastic! I asked him to give me a trim to maintain some length and to give my hair some shape and he gave me exactly what I wanted! My son will only go to Eli for his haircuts! Can’t be happier!🥰

Rada colored my hair multiple different times. My dye job is often confusing to hair colorists because my hair pulls dark but my grays are extremely resistant. She was always kind, patient, and diligent when working with my hair. Thanks Rada for everything!

Did the hair color for my friend, the color selected was burgundy tone and the color went away in just 10 days or 4 wash and all I could see was bleach color leftover. They have a 14 days policy, i called them after a little over 14 days just to know their policy. They said that there is nothing they could do. Which is fine because after initial bad experience i would have not gone back. But later they called my friend to enquire more and were rudely spoken. Definitely would not recommend to anyone. $400 for 10 days of hair color and plus rude customer service on call. Not worth it. Anyways was not looking for a refund but would have appreciated if the customer service was more friendly.

NOTHING enjoyable about my visit to this salon. My (male) hairdresser was rude and gave me such a bad haircut, I had to go elsewhere to actually get what I wanted. I showed him a photo of what I wanted, he cut my hair, and then blew it straight when the haircut I showed him had a lot of movement. When I asked him about it, he said that he'd need more time to get me what I wanted. I told him that he knew that from the beginning when I showed him the photo of what I wanted. He couldn't even get that right. I would not go here, there are many other salons in the area. POOR SERVICE AND POOR ATTITUDE.

Cindy was amazing!!!! I have long hair that is sometimes difficult to cut but she did an incredible job and styled it exactly how i wanted. Amazing haircut, such nice people! My hair looks amazing love it so much. Would highly recommend this salon!!!

I just had the Proaddiction Treatment done to my hair at this salon.The stylist was amazing!! So patient, took the time to explain the process thoroughly and answered all my questions. I am in love with my hair! I love the shine and how healthy it looks. Got so many compliments. Highly recommend this salon!

I walked into ambiance on Lex asking for curtain bangs and a cut after going to tons of hairstylists and leaving disappointed... They did an amazing job and couldn’t ask for any better service!! The hairstylists are so nice and welcoming, I would definitely recommend this salon for any of your hair styling needs!!! Definitely best place by far!

I went to Ambiance on Lex to retouch my color and I was very happy as the lady did exactly what I was looking for. The hair stylist was also really good and I left the salon extremely happy. Will go back for sure!

Poor quality, Poor value, big liars and not a professional. I’m extremely disappointed by the treatment. My hair are curly and frizzy. When I went to this Ambiance on lex salon for hair smoothing treatment manager told me that treatment lasts four to six months. Their treatment gave me no results at all. After the treatment, right after my first wash I see my hair back to curly and frizzy, as if nothing was done at all on my hairs. It is just a waste of your time and money. I will never never recommend this salon to anyone.

The salon is small gem. I have been going there for 4 years, Leandra is the best at coloring and highlights, I trust her with my live (hair ;)). I have followed here wherever she goes, but this specific salon has been my favorite.

They did hair for my wife .they guaranteed 6 months Didn’t even last 11 days .when we asked our money back .they rudely sad we don’t give money back and do whatever you like . So I highly suggest don’t waste your money by going there.

I love this salon but the most thing that I like in this salon is Leandra, she is definitely a professional stylist, when she does something is because she knows and she has the experience, she’s the best and her work talks by itself, with my eyes close I highly recommend her.

This company operates on predatory charging behavior. I was charged 40 dollars over the price listed on their website and even though I politely contested I was given an excuse that they increased prices. I had a reservation through their website to show them where it clearly listed the agreed-upon price. Do not come here unless you demand upfront as soon as you walk in that you will be paying the agreed-upon price. If it was 10 dollars then I'd be more forgiving but it was absolutely ridiculous to pay 100 dollars for a trim, with quite subpar service. I realize there are so few reviews with most of them saying nothing but kind things- I usually have no complaints with hair stylists but I didn't want someone else to be fooled.

I do not recommend this salon. I received an uneven and rushed haircut; at one point the stylist left me for 15 mins while he left to pick up a coffee for himself. A mistake was made during the service/treatment, which the stylist tried to cover up, and I only realized 24 hours later, at home, what had been done. I was over-charged by at least $100 and when I pointed this out no one took responsibility, but instead tried to offer multiple excuses (which often negated or contradicted each other). In sum.: steer clear.

I love the salon Ambiance on Lex on Lexington Ave and 73rd. It’s a new salon for me and the 2 times I have been here my experiences have been wonderful. Genaur is amazing. I have never had so many compliments on my hair. It’s not even mine and the hair extensions look so real even my family didn’t notice the difference.

Love coming in here! The salon is clean and beautiful and makes you feel relaxed. I come here for cuts, color and keratin, and like that they use the Goldwell hair color line. I always LOVE how my hair looks and feels after. People have actually stopped me on the street to ask where I get it done. Highly recommend.

This place is great. Bright, clean and nicely done. The hair stylists are all very talented and do their best to make you look good. Paul went out of his way and did an amazing job coloring and highlighting my damaged hair, making sure I was pleased with the results. I highly recommend this place and of course Paul who is always willing to go that extra mile to make his clients happy.

Vicky is an amazing colourist and hair stylist. She has a deep understanding of how hair will react and what will be possible as well as not possible. I have followed her from other salons as her skills are worth it!
