Nail tech Amy when filing the sides, cut my fingers. Also, the acetone was applied, then added extra acetone when the nail was wrapped up causing burns on my fingers. I wish she would take their time and not be in a hurry to file the sides of nails. I do believe that’s the reason cuts happen to cuticles and also underneath the nails. Amy is not the only tech that did this to my fingers. I do like American nails. The salon is clean. Very nice. Management is super nice.

asked for french nails with glitter on the top where the french part is. showed picture also it was blue french tips with glitter. ive always got this at different nail spas. they have always used POWER glitter. anyways we get to the glitter part they use a silver glitter POLISH that barely had any glitter and looked cheap. so at that point i had told her to just leave without the glitter polish because it looked ugly. while my nails look fine it was not what i asked nor paid for. picture 1 is what i asked for picture 2 is what i got

Every time I try to give this place a chance, I always leave feeling like the girls at the front desk are so rude for no reason (it’s a running joke at this point between my friends and I). Definitely need some lessons in how to interact with customers (or maybe just humans in general) lmao

Best of Omaha? What a joke. My first and only experience here consisted of very little interaction or personalization. The nail tech only spoke four words to me, was not welcoming, and did not ask my preferences whatsoever. She didn't even provide directions to the wash sink. Overall, she delivered an uncomfortable experience and worse nail care than I could give myself. The shellac manicure lasted less than a week.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! My daughter took me there for my birthday and we both got the mani/!pedi and we had the ultimate pedicure which was AMAZING.

So I'm someone who gets there nails done maybe 3 times a year if I'm feeling fancy. I was taken here as a surprise from my boyfriend. I will break it down. Older front desk lady with the short brown hair was an absolute sweet heart. Very very welcoming and the only reason this is any stars. The tech I had spoke to me enough to say "I need you to pick your color now" three times because I wasn't sure. All while she was shaping and not ready for the dipping process. As someone who's bascially inexperienced in nail things I didn't even know what shape I wanted. I asked for a shape chart and she bascially scoffed like I was stupid. So fun I got a shape I didn't want because she just picked. I tried to ask questions to make sure I understood and the barrier of understanding was definitely disappointing. Almond was not rounded like I thought I asked if she was rounding the tip I clearly didn't understand the difference. (Looking online she called these Almond I feel there a little sharper then that but..) Hence wishing for the chart. Again not a newcomer friendly place. I felt so rushed in picking colors with NO conversation or suggestions. When I picked a color I specifically asked if it was a top color (holographic silver and fine glitter light pink) or a full color because I didn't want to see underneath the nail. I asked TWICE and she assured me you couldn't. Not true. 100% Both are extremely see through. The actual dipping is uneven, with bumps and dents. She even on my wider thumb cut my nail to the bed instead of shaping and building it out to match like the other side. I know that's possible my home nail tech does it. Disappointing to say the least.. hate that my boyfriend paid $57 for a service that was uncomfortable, and rushed. They at least let him sit next to me. Also. Having a language barrier doesn't protect the tone and eye contact. Openly talking crap about someone who changed from a pedicure to Manicure shouldn't warrant that. Seems unprofessional. I've had great experiences at my tech at home so there's no excuses for the lack of service. If I'm going to pay that price, to not get cuticle work, hands lotioned, nails smooth, shape true, color (dip) thick then it shouldn't be priced as it was. I will say the place is clean, smells clean and isn't cluttered but that's all they got going for them. Oh and the hidden trash at the wash sink was highly annoying with no sign or direction.

The service has gone down hill. They’re so rough and rushed! Oh and don’t even think about telling them they’re hurting you or you don’t like their work. They’ll give you the narcissistic response and make you the problem. These technicians need training on customer service, massages, attention to detail, and quite frankly how to professionally paint nails. I do not recommend! Overpriced with poor service!

Sadly this will probably be the last time I go to this location. I was surprised how expensive they were, even the “special” for the month was not a great price! I went in for a pedi and dip manicure. Pedi was great, clean materials and great massage. Mani was not so great. They put the acetone and foil on the moment I started my pedicure. They left it on the entire time they were doing my toes and never checked it. By yesterday afternoon I noticed my fingertips were burning and super irritated anytime I got any water on them. I think sitting in acetone that long burned my fingertips. As I got on here to leave a review I saw all the other negative reviews. It seems like American nails and spa has really gone downhill. I used to love this place.

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience at American Nail and Spa. The price is not worth the time, product or experience. Pedicure was, okay. Dip manicure was poorly done and the lady doing my nails didn’t seem to care or pay attention to details. I have several spots on my nails that don’t look the best (build up of product, not all my nail covered, product all over my skin, crooked shape). There was a black mark on my blue nails that I asked her to fix, which she did but seemed frustrated so I didn’t bother asking her to fix the rest. While buffing my nails she hit my skin multiple times and didn’t even care. She seemed distracted and was rushing. I will not be returning as my experiences continue to get worse.

Nail tech was very disrespectful to me and the lady sitting next to me. Also only got my toes painted didn’t do anything else such as clipping or cleaning up. Paid way too much for the services she gave. Disappointed

Unclean and negligent… I asked for a classic manicure with shellac, the woman doing my nails handed me the book of sample nail colors to choose from, I selected one and she brought back a dip powder (more than twice the price of shellac) I brushed it off and just accepted it because I didn’t wanna be annoying. She immediately went in with a drill to file my nails and filed my cuticles off with no prep, three of my fingers were then bleeding. She continued to do my nails and then threw the files and drill bits all back into her basket full of tools without sanitizing anything. I hope all of that basket gets properly sanitized between each client because that is a HUGE HEALTH HAZARD. I have horrible anxiety now thinking about how many other people she might’ve cut and possibly contaminated her tools/equipment. I went to the front desk and showed the employee that I was bleeding from the nail tech, she offered me a discount but I was still charged $42 for this experience. Not only am I never going back to this nail salon, I am hesitant to ever visit ANY nail salon again.

Came yesterday for a dip and pedicure, for a special occasion. I don't get the opportunity to do my nails except for special occasions, so I took time to express that this is not something I do often. I definitely did not expect the red carpet treatment, but bare minimum expected to be treated kindly and well during my service. During the service, I felt very rushed and like I was an inconvenience. I attempted small talk and was met with a frown and a tech who was more interested in engaging with the nail tech next to her. I jumped when the drummel went over my skin and the nail tech said "you are so sensitive". She immediately started talking to her neighbor nail tech, giggling. I felt belittled and like a huge inconvenience. The dip color (and back up color) was out, so I felt pressured to get something quickly and unfortunately I didn't really love. A color was suggested by the tech, but not remotely close to what I was looking for. I settled on a color, but I don't think it matches the look I was going for. After the dip there was so much residue on my fingertips (never had that before, though I have only had one dip manicure prior to this one). It looked sloppy and itched, so I made a point to ask about it and was told "it comes off in the shower". To be fair it did, but it took some scrubbing and it looked so bad I couldn't go out after getting them done. Instead I went straight home to shower and get it off. The pedicure was lack luster. The towel the tools were set on had other people's toe nail clippings and gunk. It was gross. The pedicure looks like what I could do. So I was disappointed that I could have just done my own toes at home. The experience ($84 later) was so disappointing I left in tears. Please spend your money elsewhere.

Nice people but more quality. I have a dip manicure and pedicure. I got my nails done 3 days ago and have had four nails chip. I spent over $100 on my nails. Do not go here.

The lady absolutely destroyed my cuticles. They wouldn’t stop bleeding during the manicure - so bad so that at one point I had blood literally dripping down my thumb. It’s the next day and they are still bleeding and painful on several fingers. Wasn’t even given a discount in the service. Also chose a special effect cat eye polish and after they had painted it they told me they wouldn’t be able to do the special effect, so I ended up with purple nails that I never would have chosen. Won’t be back!
