Shelley did a great job! The whole experience was very unique and relaxing. I would recommend doing the longer session because of how good it felt, I never wanted it to end! 100% think everyone should try this out!!

Who knew that I could feel so relaxed in just 30 quick minutes? The time may have flown by, but the tranquility, relaxation, and positive energy I experienced, left a lasting impression. Before I arrived at Amethyst, I knew that I would be in great hands with Shelley. I emailed her in advance to ask a few questions about the experience. I’ve had neck and nerve issues from traditional hair washes in a bowl at a salon, so I wanted to make sure this would be safe for me. Shelley responded promptly and made me feel completely at ease. This would not be a traditional salon experience! Shelley greeted me as soon as I walked into the salon (Amethyst Headspa is located inside Concept Salon) and walked me back to her Oasis. The room had dim purple lighting which immediately transported me from “real life” to a gorgeous pamper studio. She thoroughly explained what to expect and gave me ample time to get ready. I received the Rock’NRoll rejuvenating Headspa treatment which included a hair wash (shampoo and conditioner tailored to my dry and curly hair), scalp and shoulder massage, and a quick blow dry. Shelley made sure I was comfortable and perfectly positioned on the headrest. She then gave me a warm eye mask and encouraged me to just let go and relax. She gently took my hair in her hands and placed it in the water. The water halo (the glowing bowl in the pictures) sprinkled water and gently tickled my scalp, while Shelley’s well trained hands massaged my head, neck, and shoulders. Within seconds, all of the tension, stress, and the headache I walked in with, just washed away. The trickling sound of water, the soothing music, and Shelley’s calming energy made for the most relaxing experience! As a licensed cosmetologist, Shelley offers a variety of treatments tailored to your needs. During longer treatments she uses a variety of tools for a multi-sensory experience. Whether you book for 30 minutes or an hour and a half, you will leave relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.

I am still sitting here basking in the glow of relaxation. Shelley was amazing explaining everything before proceeding. I am not a fan of a massage with touching certain areas but this was EXACTLY what I DO like with massaging areas that I’m comfortable with and which are head/neck where I carry the majority of my stress. Relaxing atmosphere and smelled beautiful yet not overpowering. I’m already looking for buying gift certificates for loved ones! **I missed seeing it the first time driving by as it’s inside of a salon. Look for the sign on the sidewalk.

I was given the oh My Geode service for my birthday. It was a wonderful experience. The facilities are spotless, quiet and warm and inviting. I have a difficult time relaxing but not here! The service was phenomenal. The hair massage was unbelievable and the neck massage was perfect. The hydrotherapy was so relaxing. This is a perfect way to treat yourself to a wonderful 90 minutes.

Shelley is a gem! I booked the Pure Radiance treatment last night and WOW did I get spoiled. The scalp and upper body massage was so relaxing! Best self care treatment I can think of. I can’t wait to book with Shelley again!

The MOST relaxing treat-yourself appointment you’ll make! Shelley is fantastic and very professional. She started out by explaining everything she was going to do and making sure you are comfortable. I also received a facial with my service and that was also 10/10. My skin feels so smooth. I will be back on a routine basis!

10/10 I will be back for another head spa treatment by Shelley. The experience was delightful, relaxing, and pleasurable. Shelley was kind, inviting and demonstrates that she truly wants to provide her clients with a amazing experience. Not only did the treatment feel amazing while she did it, my neck which had been sore from a week worth of office work feels great a day later. The most surprising thing was she used curly hair specific products during the treatment including a hair mask, which my hair loved. I was skeptical that my curls would dry nicely after she applied curly hair mouse and did a little scrunch and fluff, but my curls look amazing even on day two! I will be treating myself to a head spa treatment again soon.

100% recommend Amethyst Headspa! Shelley was so warm and inviting, she gave a through explanation of what would be happening and specifically used products to work my hair type. I booked the Oh My Geode service and it did not disappoint!! The hair & scalp massage steam and treatment, the facial along with the neck shoulder and even arm massage all melted the stress away! I had no idea what to expect from a scalp massage when I walked in. I left with a new found favorite in wellness services! Shelley is *AMAZING* at what she does! She makes you feel at ease immediately as she leads you into her little oasis of relaxation. It smells lovely, the lighting is low and the products are luxurious. She explains everything so you know what to expect and before you know it, your whole body is comfortable and you're exhaling as the sounds of rushing water are happening. You begin to feel her trained hands moving over your scalp, she knows where the stress points are and she addresses them. She uses tools (that I can't quite identify) as you sink further into bliss. Your neck is addressed, your shoulders, your forehead all while the scalp is still being massaged, I began to wonder how many hands she must have, it was a rush of overwhelming sensation that created emotion inside me. The massage was in fact manipulating trauma held in my scalp, face and neck! I knew we carried trauma in the body, and as a yoga teacher, I address that often, but I've never addressed it in the scalp and WOW- was it a game changer for me! This was so much more than a scalp massage as you'd get at a salon -THIS was therapeutic wellness happening in real time and it was well worth the money - I will have this done at least once a month and I highly, highly recommend trying this service for yourself. I have never felt so relaxed in my life! Shelley has such a great energy. She welcomed me and explained the whole process from start to finish so I could relax completely. The space felt so inviting and comfortable. I booked the Oh My Geode package and every part of it felt so luxuriously pampering … I even dozed off a few times. My skin felt so moisturized from the massage and facial, and my scalp is so clean and balanced! Shelley finished my session by brushing out my hair and even had curl-friendly products. I will absolutely book again, and I’m booking a session for my husband, too. Other logistic notes: Amethyst Headspa is inside Concept Salon and there’s plenty of parking. Shelley has her own room in the back of the salon.

Late review… Better late than never they say. When life is lifing (hence the late post), and you need a sense of relaxation Amethyst Headspa is where it’s at!! Shelley was AMAZING!! She has great energy!! She was quick to respond, true to her word, prompt and eager to learn about my locs and how this experience would go for the both of us. She was in the need of models when she first opened and in true Shell fashion, I was like… let me send this message. Sadly, at that time she stated that the service was not suitable for locs and braids. However, she was willing to learn and was even familiar with the loc detox process. Because, I had been seeing this service all over the internet, it was something I was really looking into doing without having to drive to a different city/state. So also in true fashion, I let her know that if that was something she would like to explore, that I would be happy to assist her. Her big thing was being able to service all and to learn all that she can, which very important and relatable to me, now that I am a new small business owner myself! Well loe and behold, she got an appt with a client that had locs. And as promised, she reached out to me so she do a practice run and also to ensure that the service was comfortable for her clients. I booked the Pure Radiance at a great price since I was a model, and it was just that. Let me just say, from start to finish this service was amazing. I was able to provide some feedback/suggestion and she was receptive to them. Dealing with locs you will use LOTS of water, shampoo and it take time for them to dry. So she was able to experience and get and better understand, to see how to move forward. Not just focused on the scalp/head but it also included, upper body massage (hands, arms, neck), steam, aromatherapy, with the use of different tool. Its so much to rave about to even share. I suggest booking a service and seeing for yourself. I’m very big on self-care these days more than ever and Amethyst Headspa will be added to the list. Check her out, you won’t regret it!!

This was a new and wonderful experience for me. I had only a vague idea of what to expect. Shelley greeted me at the door and welcomed me warmly. For those who enjoy having their hair washed, this is that and more. I had no idea it could be such a transcendent experience. As someone who regularly meditates, it isn't often that I find my Zen space while being touched. In fact, I have only experienced it once before during a reflexology session. There was this moment when Shelley was rinsing my hair, her hands paused near my temples, and it was like a silent gong went off inside me and I felt instantly released and connected all at once. I went into Amethyst Headspa expecting a relaxation experience. What I got was something more akin to having my energies realigned. I walked out not just relaxed, but more in tune.

This was my first experience at a head spa and it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had!! Getting a head massage in addition to a face and upper body massage is a top tier combination and I think every woman needs to experience this at least once!! (You will want to keep going back)
