I found this salon on IG after trying to find a stylist to fix the previous color I had. Miri and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and gave good vibes. She explained the step by step process throughout my appointment. I appreciate that she expressed to me what would work best with my hair while accommodating to my requests. Overall, I had a great experience!!

I love coming to this hair salon; I’ve come here at least 3 separate times within the past two years and every time I come, I always leave happy. My stylist Amy is incredibly patient with me and really listens to my hair concerns. I’ve been to other hair salons where I felt like my concerns are never considered or validated but with Amy, it’s the complete opposite. She truly shows that she cares about her clients and always ensures that I am comfortable and helps me achieve a look either I want or that is best suited for me. I really appreciate how communicative she is, she talks me through any steps she takes during service. Amy is overall kind, professional and experienced. She really does go out of her way to help her clients. I always recommend this hair salon to all my friends and family. Thank you Amy and to her friendly staff members as well!

So disappointed in the communication with this salon. When I followed up on a potential appointment, the date was taken. I was still open to scheduling something in the near future. I understood that without a deposit there was no guarantee but I was willing to reschedule. I supported this salon and even made a TikTok about my experience in the past. It’s really saddening that they don’t want to service a Latina supporter because of financial reasons. I had the deposit and everything and was reaching out to officially book. There was zero hostility on my end then nor is there any now. I was only sad that the spot I was hoping to book got taken. I was disappointed that there was no good faith having been to this salon in the past. When I expressed this, Amy accused me of being hostile. My texts were far from hostile, they were only direct about my availability which had already had been previously discussed. Amy seemed determined to misunderstand me so I’m happy to spend my money elsewhere. I wish them the best of luck and hope she learns to not take direct sentences so seriously/personally. Denying service over nothing is bad for business. Neurodivergent people are people too and being direct should not be cause to deny service. **UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER** Amy, It’s disappointing to see the situation reach this point, but I want to make a few things clear. As stated in my review, I fully understood your deposit policy and was only disappointed that the original appointment I had hoped to secure was no longer available. I reached out, deposit ready, to book another date. However, instead of handling the situation professionally, I received unsolicited and irrelevant texts about your TikTok status, followed by accusations of hostility and passive aggression. My communication was polite and straightforward, yet it was met with defensiveness and condescension. Being neurodivergent should never require disclosing personal information simply to be understood or treated with respect. Your response was uncalled for, and your apology rings hollow. If you expected praise for being “viral,” that’s unfortunate. I approached you as a returning paying customer, not someone seeking to validate your online presence. Regarding your comment about “parting ways,” that decision was made the moment I experienced this level of disrespect. I wouldn’t consider returning to your salon under any circumstances. My feedback was based on an honest assessment of the situation, not an attempt to rebook. Your treatment of me, as a client who supported your business, speaks volumes. To share my experience, Booking my first appointment was very simple and thorough regarding my hair condition and history. I was hesitant about the $100 per additional hour rate but was reassured that it would most likely not exceed 6 hours. Upon arriving at the salon, I received a text and later call asking if they could push back my appointment an hour later, which was an inconvenience after an hour commute but not a huge deal. I worked one on one with the hairstylist the majority of the visit and occasionally the assistant. I did feel as though the hairstylist would go to the back rooms for a while after putting in the bleach or dye, and felt I was unable to get up and ask about any questions or concerns I had until they got back to check on the processing. I was also the only customer in the salon at the time. It may have been due to this that the red dye sat in too long or was too red to begin with, that the color was way redder than the consulted color, described by her as a “blushing brown”. I reached out to them later that night asking whether a corrective treatment could be done to tone down the red, and I was able to make a follow up appointment the following week. The day of the appointment, I received a text saying that they would have to reschedule the appointment due to pipe repairs. We reconfigured an appointment for 2 weeks later, which was the earliest available. The assistant was fully hands on during my follow up appointment, and after dyeing my hair and blow drying a chunk of hair to show my original hair stylist, I was let go. Although we agreed to not do an additional full blowout for $65, I expected to have my hair at least halfway dry with a towel or blow dryer. I also have very straight hair and prone to migraines after leaving my hair dripping wet in the cold. I have also never left a salon with dripping wet hair. However, I was told drying my hair in any capacity was considered a full blowout. Similar to another review, I felt disappointed in my experience as I was eager to support a family run, Latina operated salon.

I love Amy and the rest of the salon. Everyone is family friendly and always make sure you are well taken care of from the minute you walk in. She’ll always make you feel like a queen, love you girl !

After a bad experience at another location I was very skeptical going to a beauty salon but I'm so glad I went to see Amy. She worked her magic on my hair from day one. They are very friendly and provide excellent service. I've had color correction, haircuts and touch-ups. Highly recommend 👌

Amazing customer service. I get my hair done with Amy and she’s perfect. I’ve done color and a hair treatment to straighten and reduce frizz. Love all of it. During my most recent visit, Amy blessed me before vacation (please see the pictures). They always make sure you leave happy and in love with yourself.

Amazing work took her time and gave me all the knowledge I was missing from previous hair stylist that left my hair really damaged. Amy talked me right through the whole procedure on how turning my black hair to the ashy color I have been wanting. After having many stylist tell me it was not possible and arriving to her with my hair damaged. on top of the great work location very welcoming and accommodating.

Ana Given Salon gave me an experience I’ll never forget. I booked an appointment with Miri upon recommendation and was asked a few prior questions before scheduling to determine how to move forward. Given my hair history, I was set to do a one session red color service. Now, I wasn’t exactly set on the exact shade of red I wanted but Miri helped me determine which shade of red would be best for me. Miri always checked up on me to make sure I was doing okay and that of course my hair was going as planned. I felt super comfortable and knew my hair was in good hands. I went back to Miri for a touch up a second time! The two photos attached are just moments after leaving the salon (def had to take a picture right after!)

Been going to Amy for something like 5 years now. She is absolutely the best in the biz. Sweet, friendly, knowledgeable and so talented. It’s an amazing salon and love that it’s a woman-owned family business. Amy’s Mom and sister are amazing and also just as talented as Amy! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

I absolutely love this place! I’ve personally haven’t had my hair cut at a salon since i was 9 after a bad haircut. My stylist Amy was very attentive, informative and super sweet during our session and very helpful when it came to booking an appointment!! I went in feeling super nervous and came out feeling super happy with my experience and my haircut <3!would definitely recommend this place

I came here a few months ago since my previous hair stylist didn't provide the services I wanted. I made the decision to try this salon after learning about it. The entire time, the staff was really kind and helped me feel at ease. My hair was trimmed by Miriam, and I requested layers and wanted to soften my blunt-looking curtain bangs. I'm glad I came here because Miriam provided precisely what I needed, and when I left, I felt self-assured once more. best experience! thank you! ⭐️ 😊

I did a color correction with Amy. I am VERY happy with my results!!! She is so kind and very knowledgeable. I was so scared going in because I have had so many bad stylists wreck my hair, and I also don't have easy hair. She made it seem like a breeze and I got the exact color I wanted. I will reccomend this salon to everyone i know!! :)

I found this salon on instagram after the pandemic and so glad I did! From making an appointment to sitting at the salon chair I was welcomed and treated exceptionally. It was my first time doing my hair and going to a salon, they set the bar so high i haven’t been able to go elsewhere. Everyone is so knowledgeable and experienced you not only leave with phenomenal hair but with knowledge on how to keep your hair healthy and vibrant. Picture is after my first session ever! I have been going to Ana’s salon for the last year and half, coming up on 2 years next summer ! I love how they treat their clients w respect and are always looking to give you exactly what you want with your hair. I had extremely dry and short hair and was looking to give my hair some life. Amy helped me out and has had me looking me amazing ever since. 10/10 recommend! Also me encanta que son 100% Latina owned! Added some pics from the last time I was there!

I loved this place! I hadn’t done my hair in a while because of the pandemic and I had trouble finding a place to trust. Honestly I couldn’t be anymore happier to have come here! When you arrive you feel the warmth and great energy. Miriam is so sweet she did a great job in coloring my hair. I always recommend this place because they do such a great job ! They leave your hair feeling so healthy! Totally worth it!

I was super nervous about dying my virgin hair because I didn’t want it to get damaged. I spent weeks looking for the right person. I found Amy’s Instagram page, reached out over dm and we talked for a week over what was right for me. She made me feel comfortable, explained every single step of the process and I absolutely loved my hair. I’ve gone back multiple times since and my roommate is now a loyal customer too. I have also taken my mom and she loved it. I moved to Boston for three years and still cannot trust anyone else with my hair. Amy, Miri and Ana are the dream team and I highly recommend Ana Given Salon to anyone! Here’s a video I sent to my best friend right after my first appointment. I was so excited.

Idk what Chloe below me is writing about? I booked an appointment with no issues… is she sure she even attempted to pick up the phone and call? I’d highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for friendly, reliable, and helpful services. I have curly black hair and only came for a cut but received deep conditioning, wash, and style/tool/product advice, which is what I really needed. I don’t color or do anything fancy with my hair but it seems like they’re able to do anything you ask. My sister got brown highlights and they’re still looking good months later. Recommend the trip over! The space is cute too!!

I’ve been going to this salon since December 2020! And let me just say, this salon does wonders to your hair 😍😍😍😍 I’ve been seeing Amy for my hair color and Miriam for my curly cuts these two phenomenal ladies know what they are doing! They will ask what you are looking for and provide the best suggestions/recommendations to not damage or lose hair. The staff is super friendly and welcoming once you enter the salon! Fil, is super nice and will get you acquainted once you arrive. I totally recommend this salon to a friend, family friend, anyone you know who needs to get their hair done and prettied up!!! You will not regret it ❤️😍

The minute I walked in & exchanged words with my hairdresser Amy the vibes were JUST THERE.I had a bad haircut & she exceeded my limits when it came down to the final result. I don’t know how but she managed to work with the mess I had going on. I don’t say this often but 100% I will be returning because for the first time ever it felt very comfortable to be In a salon atmosphere rather than feeling out of place & uncomfortable. The only salon I go to get my hair done. Compared to other salons I've visited that are wildly pricey, the costs here are fair. They are friendly and make sure you’re comfortable! The most important thing to me is always leaving the salon with the ideal hairdo, cut, and color. Amy never disappoints!!! 💖💖💖

Would have been great to have been able to come in for a cut, but the customer service is disastrous. It’s like pulling teeth communicating back and forth, and no follow up on their part. It’s too bad I couldn’t support a fellow female/hispanic business; I’ll take my money elsewhere.
