I’m not entirely sure why it’s hard to get in contact with anyone here. Been calling for two weeks and have left messages. Even called right as they opened. I still haven’t even received a response or a call back. I was recommended this place and now I guess I’ll have to go elsewhere.

Allison has colored my hair for 16 years. I met her soon after I moved to Jacksonville when a woman from a different salon put too much ash on my blonde hair which tinted it green. An acquaintance recommended Allison. She knew exactly what to do to correct the color. Since then I have never let anyone else touch it. She colors my roots, highlights and lowlights. Other stylists in the salon consult her about their clients. She is a master colorist.

What a great experience!! From the moment I walked into Anthony's 1558, I felt welcome and among friends. My appointment was with Maria, from Italy. What a talented lady! So nice and dedicated! I showed her the haircut I wanted just once, and she did exactly what I wanted, and more! I wanted highlights and with her creativity, she did a masterpiece in my hair! I left the place with a new and amazing look! Kudos Anthony for a great team, and thank you all for the awesome work. Already booked my next appointment!

Bobby was very professional she was gentle I was having facial dryness and very itchy skin she cleaned all the dead skin she hydrated exfoliated my skin the darkness is fading and skin tone is back I LOVE HER needless to say I SCHEDULED MY FOLLOW-UP.... #SUPERCLEAN #NOCORONAGERMS #BEAUTIFULSPACE

Customer service care is outstanding. Kelly Anderson has been a remarkable addition to the store. She's tops, in my mind, with hair color mixture and timing of it. In the 5 year experience , no issues. She is a truly talented asset. She can only go up. Thank you Anthony's.

I feel like a new woman! Gerri Ann is a friendly & amazing hairstylist! I am always afraid of haircuts due to bad experiences at OTHER salons. Anthony's 1558 put those fears to rest! Gerri Ann cut and styled my hair in ways I didn't even think my hair could! The color looks so natural even day 1! If you want a fun and friendly experience at a chic salon, than Anthony's 1558 is the perfect place for you!

I have been going to Anthony’s for years. The new location in San Marco is fabulous! My hair is always amazing. They listen to what you want and give great service. I love it!

Just had a facial with Bobbie and it was wonderful! Probably one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend her and this salon.

1 star for the buisness....constant changes with appointments and 2 incidents after I arrived on my appointment date and time... they could not find me in the system. After I took time off work and did not get the appointment as schedule...Waste of time. FIVE STARS for the therspist... Mr. ELLIOT. he is the BEST one. I will not use this business, for the run around and mis management I went thru.

A wonderful place. Very open and welcoming. I received a massage. The therapist really worked out all my huge knots. Felt like a whole other person once we were finished

DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT HERE. I HAD A PRENATAL MASSAGE SCHEDULED A MONTH AGO AND THIS PLACE IS NOW CLOSED. NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME TO ADVISE WHAT IS GOING ON. I HAD TO CONTACT GROUPON TO GET A REFUND. THE PHONE NUMBER TO THIS LOCATION DOES NOT WORK AND THE LOCATION IS ABANDONED. THIS IS A BIG INCONVENIENCE. SMH.

Highly disappointed! They called multiple times the week of my prenatal massage appointment to either tell me they wouldn’t have a therapist, then to say they would but needed to change the time and then finally to confirm my appointment. I get there 15 minutes before my appointment to check in. 20 minutes past my appointment I mention I’m still waiting and come to find out the massage therapist is in the room playing on her phone. The table doesn’t have an opening for your belly so they said I would have to lay on my side with pillows. Turns out nobody grabbed the pillows out of storage! They wanted to reschedule again and make me drive almost an hour back tomorrow. I asked for my money back in return. Very disorganized and upsetting the weekend of my baby shower.

I bought a Groupon for a prenatal massage at this spa and the day before my scheduled appointment I received a call that the massage therapist had an emergency and needed to reschedule. No problem. I then get a call the day before my new appointment time and they tell me that none of their therapists are licensed to do prenatal massage. To me, that is completely unprofessional. I won’t ever go back there.

I haven't even had massage and I've already had a bad experience. My husband purchased a groupon for me as a valentine's gift (60 minute prenatal massage) and I was finally able to schedule it for the end of May. I was called a couple days before my massage and told that someone had double booked multiple clients and that I was one of the . I was asked to reschedule and for the inconvenience, they would add an additional 30 minutes onto my time. No big deal, I was rescheduled about 2 and a half/3 weeks later. I get another call the day I'm scheduled for my massage and told the massage therapist isnt feeling well and that I'm going to have to reschedule yet agai . When I mentioned that I was supposed to be scheduled for a 90 minute session due to having to reschedule in the first place, the receptionist said that it wasn't noted and that she would then have to move my time up a bit so they could honor that for me. At this pouch, I'm starting to get frustrated. I realize that life happens and things come up, so I decided to roll with it. So I'm scheduled 2 days later and told that she had to move some things around for me and everything was set. I get to the salon today (the day of my appointment) and head to the restroom really quickly (pregnancy problems) and when I come out, I'm told to fill out the standard paper on the clipboard. I get half was through the sheet and a woman comes up with a smile and tells me there has been some confusion/a mistake with the schedule and that she doesn't have me scheduled today and that she has no one to give me a massage. I tell her that I was scheduled today and that this is the second time I've been reschedule and that we just scheduled this appointment on Monday. She goes to her computer for a few minutes then calls my name and asks me to come over to the desk. She then tells me that my appointment is in a different color which means it's been canceled and that she has no one here right now to perform my massage and that I'll have to be rescheduled, again. After about 10 minutes or so of going back and forth on scheduling, she offers a time next week (that doesn't quite fit my work schedule) and then the next appointment she offers me is 4 weeks from now. She tells me that she's working on her days off to accommodate the additional requests and that they're pretty much booked solid for weeks/months. I go ahead and take the appointment for next week (because I'm not able to make the one 4 weeks from now, almost 2 months from my original appointment) and remind her that the first time I was offered an additional half hour for the inconvenience. She looks at me and then back at the schedule and has a look on her face that tells me that I was not given the additional time in their books or notes. After a new seconds, she says" okay, I have you scheduled for a 75 next Wednesday." At this point I'm so frustrated and done that I don't have the time and energy to argue that 60+30 doesn't equal 75. I've already spent 15-20 minutes for my appointment to have been canceled without anyone attempting to contact me and over half an hour driving out to the salon (then another 40 minutes driving home). To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. They apologized for the confusion but seemed to act like it was no big dea . After all of this mess, I wasn't offered any additional time, services or even the additional 30 minutes I was offered the first time I was rescheduled. I guess we'll see how the actual massage is next week.

I moved to Jacksonville in July. Very picky about my hair colorist. Leighton did an amazing job! She took her time to figure out what I wanted and needed. Layton spent over 2 1/2 hours with me. She is very talented and highly recommend!

I'll start by saying I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel that this one is necessary. Highly disappointed in this massage. I semi-regularly get massages, and if I see a good Groupon deal, I usually will try it out. When I showed up to the spa, it was very awkward and not welcoming. I sat in the waiting room and could hear the receptionist tell my massage therapist that I was there, then heard her nearly yell "well I'm not ready" (I was a few minutes early, but obviously didn't mind waiting)... I thought that was unprofessional. Then she came into the waiting room, said my name, and handed me a piece of paper and pen. No clipboard. Didn't tell me to "please fill this out" as I would have expected. Again, unprofessional and unwelcoming. When she finally calls me back to the room, I was disappointed in the ambiance. The lights were totally on, no soothing music, no essential oil smells or anything. Just a room, with a massage table that had what I would not call even decent sheets/blankets on it. She very awkwardly asked "so why are you here?" and I could tell she didn't pay attention to my client form. She also felt the need to share that the staff doesn't even get services at the Groupon rate and she hadn't had a massage in months. Unprofessional. During the massage, her phone went off a few times that was playing the music which I didn't love. The massage itself was okay, but I definitely did not feel relaxed. Afterwards, I got dressed, and when I opened the door I didn't see her, so I just walked towards the front desk. Usually I would expect some water or something? As I'm walking down the hall I hear her say "Hey!" and look over to her lounging in one of the shampoo chairs and she just said "how do you feel" and I said "good" (to be polite) then I just felt uncomfortable not knowing if she was going to get up and walk me to the front desk, if I was supposed to walk myself, it was all just very odd, and yet again, unprofessional. Then to top it all off, I got to the receptionist (the therapist did not get up and walk me there) and as I mentioned, I had a Groupon. He told me that I owed $18 and I told him that I don't think that's right, since I already bought my Groupon and had provided the number when I scheduled my appointment, and had the Groupon up on my phone as well. He had NO idea how to handle this, and all I wanted to do was leave my tip and get out of there. Finally the other massage therapist (Holly I believe - based on reviews I feel that I may have had a better experience if she did my massage) helped me and I was done. I would not recommend going here. From the atmosphere, to the professionalism, to the service, it is not worth it. I am glad I paid at the Groupon rate and not the full price.

I'm looking for a new regular massage therapist, as I am new to Jax. I do not reccomend this place because when you walk in you have to find the waiting room on your own, it's very awkward. I arrived 8 minutes prior to my appointment time and ended up waiting 17 minutes past my appointment time to be brought back to the massage room. On top of that my massage was cut short by another 6 minutes. The massage therapist herself seemed to know what she was doing but the professionally of the place is a deterrent.

Literally had the worst experience. Came serval weeks ago, and waited for 30 minutes to then be told that the person who was supposed to be doing my facial wasn’t coming in. As an apology they decided to give my friend a free facial. We rescheduled our facials, and then after waiting 20 minutes were told the person who was supposed to do them was running late but would be their soon. We communicated our frustration and asked if the person wasn’t there by 10:30 we would like to get a refund, the person at the front desk offered to comp us massages if we decided to leave. When 10:30 came around and we decided to leave and get a refund the front desk person was nowhere to be found. We walked around looking for her, and tried calling multiple times. We wasted 2 Saturday mornings, didn’t receive our facials, and didn’t receive a refund. Most unprofessional place I’ve ever experienced.

Mrs. Holly took care of my 60 min Deep Tissue Message, and she was amazing👍👍👍. Great listener, and actually worked my back that was so tense my chiropractor (different company, who would not help me the day prior because of the tension) and Mrs. Holly deemed "a bag of concrete" to what now feels like play-dough😊. I will return hopefully weekly, and hope to refer as many friends and family, to this establishment as possible! Used Groupon and had a wonderful experience all around! The receptionist was very polite and very helpful to getting me back with a coupon/discount. It was great! 5 star all the way for me!

The whole staff is very unprofessional. This establishment is not recommended. They are not organized and on the same page. They don’t have a full time massage therapist and don’t know when they will have one. They are very messy and expect receptionist to clean up after everybody in the shop. Please don’t waiste your time by going there.
