Ms. Victoria’s knotless braids were full and demonstrated impeccability with every strand of hair leaving no undesired spaces/gaps that seem to be the “norm” with other braiders. Hailing from Ghana, she was trained in London from the very best in the world! Her warm, beautiful, welcoming spirit made you feel like you were visiting a friend instead of being “stuck” in a salon for an extended period of time. For those of you (like me) who care about the type of “energy” their service providers bring into a space, not just the skills… this place is for you! You’ll leave feeling like you just spent time with your Aunties & Uncs lol.

Never will I return. I was a first-time client. My Senegalese twists only lasted about a week. I had blisters in my scalp. I had to take them down after three weeks since they looked like I had them in for two months. A lot of my hair came out when I was taking them down. My daughter got her hair down here, and the stylist told her she didn't really know how to do my hairstyle. I had asked her prior to booking if she knew how to do these twists, and she said yes. She should have been honest with me in the beginning, and I would have gone with a style she knew how to do. I have gotten these plenty of times and never had hairloss during takedowns, and they lasted way longer. I spent well over $200 and gave a generous tip that could have been spent elsewhere. I won't be returning as a client.

I can't say enough about this place it was a wonderful experience. My grandson CJ had his hair done over the weekend, and they did exactly what he asked and at a reasonable cost. The staff was professional and very friendly down to earth kind of people. I bought some oils while I was there, and they took the time to let me test many different kinds. I have received many compliments from people on them. I would recommend them to anyone, they won over my business for sure Good luck to your business keep doing what you are doing, I have no doubt we will be visiting again.

Ms. Victoria braided my hair. This was my first time going to her. She was very sweet, professional and has such an amazing spirit! She is very detailed and you can tell she loves what she does! I will DEFINITELY be back and will be recommend all of my family and friends to her!

We found THE one! My son & I recently relocated to Virginia Beach and needed a salon that, in addition to the usual services, could do braids for him, as well. The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful ~ a very pleasant way to spend the day! Hotept, the owner & barber, has clearly worked hard to create a true salon & barber shop experience for clients -- of all ages and ethnicities. Miss Victoria is highly experienced and does intricate braid work with a flair. She has a beautiful presence and nurtures you throughout the styling process. We'll be back again and again!

This was the best experience and service I have received in the entire Tidewater area in over a decade! Definitely a hidden gem. Friendly family type atmosphere. Took me back to the day when people mattered, where u were a person, valued and wanted to keep going back, even to just say hi. Better yet, good prices, actually low to midline, add the excellent job done, better even than any high priced spa anywhere and you leave feeling beautiful and loved! I am not one to write reviews truthfully, but this hidden treasure needs to be your next go to for whatever, they are number 1#!!! BTW, all services checked below were gel mani pedi prices that incorporate the massage and extras at equal price to their competitors minus the "extras" like massage and nail art.
