Carrie Phillips is my beloved stylist/colorist; I've been seeing her for almost two years, and trust her completely with my haircut, but more importantly, my (blonde) coloring. It can be difficult to find someone who does a great job with blonde coloring, but Carrie is the best! She's also very warm, friendly, and the Apotheka environment is lovely.

Carrie has been doing my full color, double process treatments for over 13 years. With her extensive educational background in color theory and chemistry, she is uniquely qualified to do excellent, complex color applications, as well as color corrections. She is creative, insightful and her sense for matching what her client wants and needs–and even being able to up that to the next level at fruition–is peerless. While receiving a treatment at an upscale salon she was working at in Seattle, I actually experienced a state instructor administering an exam for another Stylist stop what they were doing to come over to us to observe her technique and ask her questions about how and what she was doing/using in order to accomplish the amazing results he was seeing, they were so impressive! I am also a licensed professional in the beauty industry so my standards are HIGH. She meets and exceeds them every single time. She is also as phenomenal at cuts as she is at color and can be as creative or classic as her client wants or needs; her client dictates the direction of her styling–she offers no pressure and provides ample information on various services and tiered options (where applicable) to fit individual clients’ needs. She is clear about pricing and everything is posted for one’s review ahead of time on her site. Something that is also important to me (and frankly increasingly difficult to find these days) is that she is always punctual, always takes her appointments seriously and respects her clients’ time, too. You won’t be waiting for her for an hour and she will be there when she is supposed to be. She also uses a service that makes making an appointment a breeze and it reminds you about your appointment via texts or emails and provides easy directions, etc. It makes things so easy to plan and execute! Carrie is simply a lovely person and a talented and gifted Stylist that will definitely take your experience and your hair to the highest level! I hadn’t had my hair trimmed in over a year, and it was a mess—split ends, uneven lengths, and just overall unruly. Alexandra who was my hairstylist completely understood my needs. I explained what I wanted: to cut it a bit shorter while adding layers and getting rid of the damaged ends. Not only did they listen carefully, but they also gave great suggestions based on my hair type. The stylist worked skillfully, transforming my tangled, neglected hair into something that felt healthy, light, and beautifully styled. I walked out feeling like a new person, with a haircut that’s easy to maintain and looks great both styled and natural. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy with my hair! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for someone who truly listens and knows how to bring hair back to life.

Had a great experience here with Alexandra! The location is in the newly renovated Labor Temple which is now a beautiful coworking space with high end finishes and interior decor. The salon is very well appointed and extremely clean and glossy. Alexandra was wonderful, friendly and did a great job with my cut. It is also of course air conditioned inside for those looking to stay cool this summer!

I have seen Alexandra since I moved to Washington in 2016. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my coloring! My blonde looks natural and I get lots of compliments. The salon has an amazing vibes and I always look forward to our talks and seeing her and the rest of the amazing team at Apotheka! Plus it’s fun to do a little shopping with their rotation of small business goodies.

I am a tech with Beacon plumbing, and I recently was called out to replace some drainage parts for the shampoo bowls at Apotheka. I have completed tasks at many salons before, but never have I worked in one that was so clean and elegant. The staff were all very friendly also. I'm already planning on sending my wife here

Everything about this salon is so wonderful! I had a haircut with Alexandra and she is just as skilled and amazing as all the other reviews mentioned. The questions she asked during the consultation were super in-depth and she made sure to have a complete understanding of the style I wanted before proceeding (as well as checking in throughout the cut to make sure I liked it). Also, their salon is the cutest!! Their throwback playlist and movie projected on the wall made it so fun!

Had haircut with Alexandra, she is super friendly and fun to chat with. She is attention to details and always inform me the next steps. Also constantly check with me during the process. I LOVE my haircut! Oh, and they play movies when washing your hair! It's the best experience ever!

I have never in my 30 plus years had a better experience in a salon. Robby is amazing! He was authentically dedicated to talking me through the process, experience, and expectations of dying my virgin hair platinum blonde. He was patient with all my questions as a pur noob. He really cared that I had a genuinely great experience. He was welcoming and insisted that I could reach out anytime for help and set me up with phenomenal products without any pushy upsell vibes at all. As a real pure ginger, no one in the salon tried to talk me down or slander my decision to go blonde. They were all hype people and I can't wait to go back for maintenance!

Loved my experience at Apotheka!! I had Alexandra as my stylist. She listened to what I wanted and was able to fit me in right before my wedding. It was so nice to be able to feel totally taken care of and trust my stylist. All the stylists there were so nice, I would trust any of them! Definitely go here for your hair!!

Apotheka Salon is hands down the best salon I’ve been to. Absolutely beautiful setup, fantastic people, and such a welcoming and fun environment. I’ve been going to Bailey for coloring services and cuts for the last year and I can’t imagine going elsewhere. She’s incredibly talented and always delivers. She’s amazing at what she does and tailors services to each individuals lifestyle/maintenance preferences. I would recommend Apotheka and Bailey 10 times out of 10!

I cannot recommend Bailey enough! She cut my hair for a few years and then I followed her to Apotheka. She corrected a bad haircut (I made the mistake of trying someone else after she moved), and my hair has never looked better. Other pros: easy and close-by street parking (paid ~$2 for 2 hours), cool building, and the hair products Apotheka uses smell amazing.

Robby has been cutting my hair for YEARS. From kitchen tables, to Salon Ayano, to instructing my partner over Zoom in 2020, and now his very own business; Apotheka Salon. Robby really knows what he’s doing, and he’s always been able to interpret my "what-am-I-even-trying-to-say” direction and make my hair look great. Bad hair day? I don’t know her. The salon itself has come together beautifully, and I'm always tempted to bring home more plants each time I go in for a cut. I would also recommend picking up a bottle of Plant Juice, made by Alexandra. It really elevated my plant care routine at home, and smells so fresh. I’ve known Robby and Alexandra for years, and I’m so proud to see what they have built together.

The atmosphere of Apotheka is incredibly welcoming. Robbie and Alexandra have created a space that instantly calms the soul while you are pampered with incredible talent. I get endless compliments when I have my hair colored and/or balayaged. Alexandra is an excellent stylist! I only wish I could create the same look that she always does with my hair! This is by far the best salon I have ever been in.

This salon is GORGEOUS! The space alone feels like luxury with an earthly twist! The stylists are all so nice and knowledgeable…they give quite the thorough consultation too! I love the products they use, products they sell and, oh yeah, I love the movies being shown on the big wall in the shampoo room! Super fun!! 😍
