Thank you Rene! I rarely leave a hair salon happy, and Rene did such an amazing job, I will definitely be returning. I had no idea what I needed done, and Rene talked me through all my options and we came up with a long term plan to get the desired results.

So happy I found Apres and Kayla! Consistently super satisfied with my cuts and color/highlight/balayage services (and I admit I think I tend to be picky with my hair!) and have never gotten so many compliments on my hair since seeing her. Clean, relaxing, beautiful space in a great location. Have only chatted with Renee in passing but she is lovely too! Thanks guys!

I’ve been getting my hair done with Kayla for around a year and a half and I Love it!!!! I get Keratin treatments every 6 months. LIFE CHANGER!!! Especially living in Seattle! My hair is smooth, healthy and SO EASY to style! 10/10!!!

Rene is literally a HAIR GURU! I’ve been following her for the past 8+ years and she has done AMAZING things for my hair. The color & cut is always on point, she’s sooo patient with my pickiness & genuinely cares for my hair health. I came to her with fried hair wanting to get it colored and she kept it real with me and had me wait for the sake of my hair health. Other places would just willingly keep dying my hair even if it meant causing more breakage. She doesn’t just do services for the $ she truly cares about your hair & wants what’s best for it. She is incredibly skilled and whether I want to go dark, light, blonde, bronde, ash golden blonde she always delivers and I can’t recommend her enough! Also her keratin treatments have done wonders for my hair. She’s also so charismatic, sweet, wise and easy to talk to so the time goes by so fast (I call our appts hair + therapy sessions) Don’t look any further - she’s your girl!!

This is my third time now booking with Kayla and I finally think I have officially found a stylist I will keep coming back to! She is very helpful and patient when you don’t exactly know how to explain what you want but instead just show pictures and carefully explains the coloring process which has been so helpful! She used her expertise to help fill in the gaps of what I was asking for. She totally nailed my sombre and the cut I got from her previously is growing out beautifully. I have thick, coarse curly and wavey hair which can be hard to deal with and style, so I always love when I leave the salon with a perfect blowout. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Kayla has been my hair stylist since I moved to Seattle, 4 years ago, and I feel so lucky to have found her because she is amazing! She always gives me great ideas for my hair that matches with my style. From long length to short layers, she does a beautiful sombre/foliage work and I love all the tones she gives to my hair! I trust her so much I chose her to be my stylist for my wedding! And she also gives my hubby a nice hairdo! Besides that, she is super cool and kind person, I’m very happy with her services!

Kayla is amazing! I have been seeing her for years. From long hair to short and everything in between, bleach and tones to natural sombres she nails it! Before finding Kayla it would take typically 3 to 4 days for me to actually like it. Since seeing her, I have left loving it the moment she’s finished. Kayla is a kind, caring hairstylist. Her sombre grows out beautifully. She always listens to my needs and tells me if my ideas are realistic for my lifestyle. I appreciate her detail oriented approach. Also…. THE BEST HEAD MASSAGE EVER! 🔥💆🏼‍♀️

Really grateful I found Rene at Opal X Iris while on a nursing assignment in Seattle. She was receptive about what I wanted and also was transparent about exactly what the cost would be from the beginning. My hair turned out exactly how I had hoped and she really took her time so that the coloring blended in beautifully with my natural color. Great conversation, vibes and music to boot. This lady knows her craft, go see her!

Rene recently moved to this salon from downtown Seattle. She is amazing. I've never been able to have my hair longer until she cut my hair. I get so many compliments. So glad Rene is in West Seattle!!!!

This is the only place I will go to get my hair colored and cut. Rene is amazing- one of those people you can just trust to do looks right. I first came to see her six years ago and have never seen anyone else since.
