My partner and I visit Aqua Day Spa at least once or twice a week, and it’s become one of our favorite ways to relax. For just $35.00 per person, you get three hours of access to the steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub (whirlpool), which is an excellent value. You can also add on a body scrub service for an additional fee, having done it multiple times, I highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it before. The experience is generally wonderful, but there are a couple of downsides. At times, the chlorine in the whirlpool feels overly strong, making your eyes burn and the smell overwhelming. The steam room can occasionally have an unpleasant odor, and adding essential oils like eucalyptus could help freshen it up. Despite these minor issues, the price is reasonable for what you get, and it’s a great spot to unwind for a few hours. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating, which adds to the positive experience. Another bonus is the location—there are plenty of amazing restaurants nearby, so it’s easy to grab lunch or dinner after your visit. Overall, I highly recommend Aqua Day Spa for anyone looking for an affordable and relaxing escape.

I am not going back to Aqua Day Spa. There is a janitor (Mr. Choi) who works in the men’s spa. When you check in, you are not notified that there is a 3-hour limit to stay at the spa. When I was closing to hitting my 3-hour mark, which I wasn’t aware of, he started harassing me in the men’s spa, in front of others. I was essentially forced to get out of the spa. He kept talking loudly in that small area, saying I had to leave. I almost fell like I was being kicked out. I saw him do the same thing to other men in the spa as well. People were very uncomfortable about his behavior and some kept saying, “Mr. Choi must be having a bad day today.” Someone else said, “If you give $10 here and then he leaves you alone.” (Bribery)… I talked to the front desk lady and complained about him. She said other guys had complained about him as well and said that Mr. Choi was very bossy. I went back into the men’s spa and Mr. Choi started harassing me again. I told him that I had spoken to the front desk lady about staying a bit longer. He told me, “Money first.” He made me give him money inside the men’s spa and took it to the front desk. Mr. Choi’s behavior was utterly inappropriate, unprofessional, and took away my opportunity to have a relaxing time at the spa. I’ll never go back there. It’s best to go to Yu Spa instead.

This experience was a 10/10 You pay for whatever service you want and have access to everything in the facility , this was the best time I had in San Diego . I paid for a scrub and I felt like Anna washed all my problems away ! lol . This will be the first spot I will visit whenever I travel to San Diego again

This small space is impressively designed to maximize efficiency. The steam room was a highlight—absolutely fantastic! If you’re looking for an authentic Korean spa experience, this is the place to be. Make sure to bring cash for tipping your massage therapist. While there may be a language barrier, it doesn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the visit.

Amazing local spot to cleanse the mind and body. Sauna and cold plunge are top-notch. As long as you’re comfortable with nudity, you will love this day spa.

I love this place. 💗 I've been here multiple times and left 100% satisfied. I have been getting the scrub and aromatherapy/coconut oil massage, which also includes mini facial and hair wash. I always try to arrive 1 hour early in order to enjoy the jacuzzi and steam room. You definitely cannot be shy as no clothes whatsoever can be worn once you enter the wet room. They do have a women side and a men side. They provide towels and a robe for you to go to your locker, bathroom, or lounge area. Once done, you can do your hair and makeup in a large area with lots of mirrors and supplies like q-tips, tissues, cotton balls, toothpaste, hair dryer, and brushes (I bring my own brush). Toothbrush and razor provided at the front on your way in. The past couple of times, I brought my mom here for her birthday, and we will keep going in the future. This is now going to be our tradition on her day & maybe other special days. It's not cheap, but it is totally worth it. Bring cash to leave a tip for your masseuse.

So, I have a lot to say about this place as I’ve spent a lot of time there. First of all, I was so incredibly grateful to discover it after thinking Yu Spa was the only Korean Spa in San Diego. Someone AT Yu spa actually turned me onto this place. It is small, it’s cute, it’s chill, rarely overcrowded, and it’s affordable to soak at every week. I do wish they would step it up on a couple of fronts. Number one, it’s not the cleanest place. I don’t like to sit on the toilet, so I’m hovering and ending up looking back at the toilet snd it IS NOT CLEAN. I know public bathrooms often have “that smell,” but I REALLY prefer a place where I’m soaking my naked body and am forced to walk around barefoot (even in the bathroom) to be a lot cleaner. I’m a little funny about my feet in that i like to keep them really clean as they go in my bed st night. My other cleanliness issue is with the water dispenser. It has recessed buttons that have a really filthy ring of dirt around them. This bugs me only because the buttons are right above my water and I obv have to touch them with my hands. I get the feeling they aren’t big into sterilization. Take a cue-tip and get the grime off that dispenser, and use an actual toilet brush in the toilet. Also I NEVER seen them SQUEEGEE the floor there. I have also witness big tangles of hair sticks in the drain, when a massage therapist came over and picked it out them didn’t. Wash her hands. Unsanitary. Finally, they have ONE SONG they play in the lounge area on repeat every day all day. It sounds like that Bryan Adams song from Robin Hood prince of thieves from the 80s. Repetitive and not st all relaxing. There’s SO MUCH amazing sound healing etc out there online for free. C’mon guys.

Wonderful place to de-stress. They have hot jacuzzi with bubbles, Steam sauna, cold plunge and cold pull down showers, Hot sauna, Lava meditation room , and Body scrub services if you want on the side But it does not come with the thirty dollar price. The $30 price includes everything listed Above accept the scrub. You do have to get completely naked Yes, that means and no bra No panties And you have to be comfortable walking around naked like that. They give you a robe, but that's more for you to use After you come out, so you're not dripping Wet everywhere when you're changing in your lockers. They have a seating area. They have a restroom and they even have water And tea. There's also an area for you to do your makeup or blow dry hair. Overall, it's a really good experience. And I love how it's not packed with people. Every time I go, there's always one other person there. Or two. So it's not like everyone staring at you naked. Plus everyone else is naked, so you're good🙂 I also love how they have good quality body wash and shampoo I love how my hair smells afterwards😊

Nice day spa with friendly staff and good price for the day. Went on Sunday and wasn't too busy.

Everything is more expensive out here so I'm not faulting it for being $30 when a similar experience in Korea is, like, $5. This place feels very much like your typical neighborhood sauna in Korea, just with a lot of English. But, even for a sauna in Korea, this would be considered pretty small. Clean, though, and the people there are nice. I will say, though, the actual saunas were too, too hot. A regular customer even said they were hotter than usual.

This place is awesome. Best scrubs and best massages.

Sauna is hot! Cold plunge is COLD! Steam room is so-so, but I don't need it. It's a clean, small place. It's just personnel is not always nice.

Awesome day. Body scrub, massage, steam, Jacuzzi sauna just a great way to spend my birthday.

I has bruise all over my upper back after a shiatsu massage. I kept asking the masseuse for going softer and she kept shushing me. Not a work of English and no bedside manners. It felt like a torture instead of a massage. Will never go back there again.

I would come here for the jimjilbang and body scrub experience. This rating was purely for my 1 hour acupressure with coconut oil. They have you fill out a piece of paper to see which area you'd like to focus on and ignore. My lady was so rushed to get situated that she ended up touching the areas I clearly put I didn't want, having to explain it several times. She then proceeded to ask why I'm so tense - answering that I'm working too much lately. She had the audacity to ask if I make so much money?! I intentionally didn't respond and she asked AGAIN! Her: "Did you not hear me?" Me: "No. I did. But I didn't answer because that's never something you ask a client. That was crossing a hard boundary. She then said her son went to see a doctor for similar issues to get on acupuncture and exercise, recommending I do the same. I DIDN'T come here to be told I need to be active! Very inappropriate. I had a super long day and wanted to relax! What bothered me was they charge nearly double the amount and the majority of the time she massaged me WITH THE SHEET ON! I barely got an oil massage AND the facial part felt so rushed and sloppy when applying the wet towel. When I got turned over, I didn't even get massaged on my feet, calves or hands the way I usually do in other places. I told her that hands are OK from the beginning and never got that massaged. Lastly, she finished abruptly and didn't give me time to put on my robe / get my things. She was in the room the whole time and it felt invasive. I sorely lament having spent $110 for a massage here when SO many other places are top tier for $60. I truly thought paying more was going to override everything else but it ended up being very uncomfortable & invasive on various levels. I wish I would have chosen the scrub - this was absolutely not worth the exuberant upcharge.

This was my 2nd time visiting and taking part in the spa! As a treat from my daughter! The first time I raved about it. Did the full body scrub. Baby, let me tell you, your skin feels like the day you were born!!! This time not only did we do the full body scrub(highly recommended), we also had a full body massage, and a detox treatment, in which we were wrapped like mummies in gold foil after being rubbed down with the detox treatment. My Spa lady was Jenny, she was super friendly and funny! She also has strong hands cause that massage woke up muscles I had forgotten about. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the owners are nice! Cant wait to visit again! By the way my skin still feels soft at this time, a week afterwards!!!!🥰

Definitely the best and most authentic traditional Asian bath in San Diego. Separated sides for men and women, a hot sauna, hot water bath, cold water bath, steam room, heated floor nap section and complimentary refreshments in the lounge. And best of all, no clothes necessary. And the demographic is very broad including eastern Europeans and various ethnicities; world travelers and veterans; and just generally open minded, LGB+ and body positive guys. But remember to shower before entering the bath and don't be too noisy! On the men's side, Mr. Choi has been a miracle worker for decades. His body scrub exfoliates amazingly and the oil massage has helped recover from my intense workouts.

It's pretty small and underwhelming. No food/snacks or refreshments are offered there. And one of the older attendees yelled at me for something I didn't even do. I won't be coming back.

Although the prices have gone up, they're still reasonable in comparison to nearby similar spas. It's an excellent place to get a body scrub, oil massage and the works. My favorite is the body scrub but one can come here for just a Day Pass to have full access to their cold/hot water jacuzzis, steam room, dry sauna & red clay room. Isn't it about time to pamper your body?

Avoid this lady called “ANNA”, horrible customer service, very rude and was rubbing my skin like I was getting a free massage :). She was yelling most of the time when she was asking to move around, with an attitude moving my arms to the side very aggressively. Definitely, she is not happy of what she is doing. She threw the envelope in front of my face for tip, absolutely horrible experience. If you ever go, avoid this middle age woman, short hair cut, horrible attitude. I will not use her services never again.
