I had a root touch up and a blow dry with the owners assistant, Olga. I loved the hair color but NOT the blow dry. She did not apply a heat protectant, ruffed dried my hair 95%, then used the wrong round brush for my hair texture in large sections. The end result is that the ends of my hair were dry and frizzy, not smooth. She does NOT know how to blow dry curly hair smooth and straight. I paid $120.00 for root touch up with treatment and blow dry.

Have been to this salon couple times and absolutely love the work that they have done with my hair. My cut and highlights came out perfectly. Could not recommend enough! The salon in general is very neat, clean and welcoming. Looking forward to see you again!

the worst salon in the city. went for a haircut. they did not blow dry and expected me to leave the salon with dripping wet hair, they did not hair sectioning tools and seemed to work on a guess estimate as to how much length to trim and they finished up the cut in under 5 minutes. unprofessionals and seemingly racist.

Maria did such an amazing job! I love my balayage, she struck the right balance of listening to what I want and making suggestions where I needed them instead of just deciding what she wanted to do. The results were exactly what I wanted - easily one of the best color jobs I’ve gotten in NYC, and at a reasonable price! Will be returning and would definitely recommend.

Doesn’t even deserve one star. It’s almost been a year since I’ve had my hair done by Maria. She died my hair once and destroyed it. I’ve had fried hair for a year now. She lies about her prices on her website and charges double the amount like a salon in Manhattan. My hair has changed color completely even after 2 weeks of dying it. From brown went to orange hair then a washed out blonde. To disappointed!!

I got my hair done here in November of 2021. I had virgin dark brown hair and wanted to get it light brown. I showed her a picture of what I wanted to which she said she could do it just like the picture. after it was finished, it looked exactly like my natural hair color, no difference and she ended up charging me more than what was originally said. I ended up texting her that I wasn’t happy with my hair and if she could fix it, however she seemed annoyed and had an attitude. I came in the next day for her to fix it and she used bleach in my hair without telling me as well as told me if I want a blowout it’ll be $40 after I spent $250 plus tip the day prior for her to do nothing different to my hair. The assistant blow dried my hair horribly on purpose, didn’t even finish drying it, and let my walk out of her salon with half wet hair in November. The owner and her assistant were extremely rude, unapologetic, and made it very evident they tried to take advantage due to me being 18. Instead of wasting your money and ruining your hair, go to Nicole at Nova nails in Maspeth.

I have been coming to Maria for years and I’ll never go to another hairstylist as long as she’s in business! She keeps my hair looking amazing and healthy, which is hard when you use bleach. She gives great advice on how to take care of my hair at home and uses the best products on my hair during each appointment. Thank you Maria for helping my blonde dreams come true! You’re the sweetest, nicest woman and I’ll follow you wherever you go (just don’t go too far haha)

I’ve been doing my hair to Maria for many years now. I love my hair, she uses high class products, and my hair never get damaged even that I’ve been doing double processed bleach. Just went to their new BEAUTIFUL location and Marie did a blonde balayage on my hair. She was so attentive and intentional with everything she did. She also explained exactly what she was doing the entire appointment. A great experience and my hair turned out great! 5/5!

Maria is the best blonde specialist in the city!!! I came across her salon on instagram and was shocked at how talented she is with blonde hair! I reached out to her and she was able to book me for a consultation ASAP! On the day of my hair consult, she was able to do my hair that day and listened to all of my concerns!!! Not only did she exceed my expectations but left my hair feeling healthier than ever before!! She is the sweetest person ever!! Everyone should go see her even if you don't have blonde hair because she is truly talented when it comes to anything hair related!!

Maria is the best in the business, I have been doing my hair for almost 8 years with her and every time I go she does an amazing job. No one that I've tried has had quite her talent. Maria never disappoints, my hair always looks AMAZING after she touches it!!! I love her and her work so much and here's why: 1. She is an excellent stylist and a master colorist, the only one I trust to do balayage on my hair. 2. She makes you feel like family, I've been seeing her for years and every time I see her I feel so comfortable and know that my needs are being met. I know she's taking the best care of my hair whenever I'm sitting in her chair. 3. She does exactly what I ask for and more. She did a caramel balayage on me with Olaplex color gloss and I absolutely LOVE how my hair came out, I'm loving the endless compliments I get about my hair. 4. Her new salon is well kept, clean, bright and gorgeous located in the upper west side. Major plus was there was plenty of street parking. If you're looking to refresh your hair whether it's doing a balayage, highlights, color correction, hair cut, blow out, keratin treatment — she is the person to go see!! Marie is amazing at doing hair! I am very particular about who does my hair/coloring/cut and finding her has been a blessing! Mine was rushed and was charged extra and one girl just stands there doing nothing. My dad and brother also got charged extra way more then it should be. Dont waste your money here.

This place was amazing. My first haircut since moving to NYC and I couldn’t be happier! I asked for long layers and curtain bangs and they exceeded my expectations. Plus the place is super clean and everyone there is really friendly. Can’t wait for my next cut!<3
