I use to go to the salon when I was a student at UCF in 2015-2016. Although they always did a good job, I never returned after my last blowout with them because I initially thought they fried my hair from all the heat. Turns out whoever washed my hair last time snuck relaxer in my hair. I’m not sure if the owners were aware of that but that is still really bad for business. I have well taken care of kinky hair. It was such a stressful time in my life that I didn’t even realize that the lady even put relaxer in my hair until recently. It all makes sense why the lady let me stay under the dryer for a very short period of time and seemed anxious and sneaky when the hairdresser was complimenting how well the deep treatment worked on my hair. I remember going home and telling my husband that my hair smelled like relaxer and quickly brushing it off, not really thinking much about it because I didn’t think anybody would have the audacity to do that. Shortly after that salon visit I ended up in a predicament where I was in hot humid rainy weather for several hours and my hair somehow stayed bone straight. Then for my graduation in 2017 I went to another salon and they told me I had new growth when I haven’t put relaxer in my hair since 2011. The hairdresser even insinuated that somebody might’ve put something in my hair. Still brushed it off. Finally in 2019 I decided to do a big chop because half of my head was a different texture than the rest of my hair. I just thought that was how my hair was but after cutting it, letting it grow out, and fully recuperating from that stressful time in my life. I know realized it’s because they snuck relaxer in my hair. So sad. Can’t even trust your own people with your hair. I guess the lady viewed my natural hair as a problem and felt inclined to “fix it” by putting a cancer-causing chemical in my hair without my knowledge. I honestly feel so disrespected because to that lady I’m pretty sure she felt like she did nothing wrong but to me it’s a big issue because I always knew that relaxers weren’t good for my health which is why I stopped using them. By far the best Dominican salon in Orlando. They specialize in natural hair. I would travel very far to go here. Arelis has been doing my hair for 10 years. Even though I moved back to NY, she's still the only stylist I will let cut my hair. Is it busy and will you have to wait sometimes? of course. That's what happens when you're the best in the biz. Just be patient, it's worth it.

CURLY HAIR GIRLIES GOTTA COME HERE!!!!!! The best blow dry that I have received in Orlando and can testify that it combats the heat of florida. I started going to UCF in 2019 and have been going to this salon for any of my hair needs and highly recommend to anyone but especially curly headed girlies. I have 3B-3C type curls and my blow dry lasts days! It’s on Colonial about 15 minutes away from waterford lakes and UCF. Can’t recommend enough!!

I called to see if there was availability for a wash and cut, I was told I would wait 15-20 minutes if I got there before 3:30pm. Then I waited for over an 1 hour and a half to be told, they couldn’t cut my hair the style I wanted. That was very unprofessional and a waste of time. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I have been going Arelis Salon for over 16 years. The service is impeccable! The salon is neat, well organized, and comfortable. Their hands are AMAZING !!! I particularly go to Ari , Arelis daughter i have curly hair but i like to keep my hair straight and when i get out of her chair all i can say is WOW !!! They are very professional, My hair always been so healthy and stay super healthy for all this years !! The Love for hair is in their hands. All i can said is AMAZING HANDS !!!!! 🙏🏽

I moved to Orlando about 3.5 years ago. One of my biggest concerns was finding someone who could do my hair. I have a lot of volume and is very thick. I don’t get relaxers so it’s difficult to find someone who can manage my hair and do a nice silk press. Aris is amazingggggggg!!!! Do not waste ur time going somewhere else. I tried other salons in the area and they were horrible ! I have seen her do ALL types of hair. Not only is she great , but she’s actually concerned about the HEALTH of your hair. She is very knowledgeable about anatomy and pathophysiology of your scalp and her recommendations are always sincere, not about the $ .

My daughter went here to get her hair washed and dried. She got the full rollers and all put in her hair. Great price! Great people! And amazing service its day 4 and her hair is still popping.

My only downfall about this place is you book an appointment with one person specific and when you get there it’s 3 different people in your head. I don’t like that because I’m a firm believer in not everyone hands is for my hair and I stand by that. I did say something about it and the reply was .. “you’re getting something anyone in the salon can do” but not anyone was selected when I book my appointment though. SoOo… fix that.

The VERY BEST DOMINICAN SALON on EAST colonial Drive. DONT confuse it with the one on West Colonial. Ari is very professional and knowledgeable about ALL hair types. She delivers QUALITY work!

This salon is the best. I come all the way from St. Cloud just for these ladies to do my blowout, color or even keratin treatments. Ari and her mom know what my hair needs every time I come in and can do it all. I never have to wait long, they are professional and my hair comes out FANTASTIC!!!! I couldn't ask for anything more. Best salon in town!!

The place was good only the lady who started doing my daughter's hair kept taking personal phone calls. We were there at 9am sharp(resevation made ahead) and left at 1230 thank goodness her daughter took over and finished the job..next time, I will request her.

I will be back and I’ll already seeing an appointment for my daughter. They offer many services & I’d recommend booking online but they also take walk ins (I think before 5pm) 10/10 recommend

Love this Salon. All around 5 star. I have 4b texture hair and I also have color added. They take really good care of my hair and take their time. My hair comes out bone straight for someone who has kinky curly hair and last 2-3 weeks depending on the weather. I just make An appointment and it takes 2-3 hours.
