Lina is the best! I like natural highlights that grow out easily. She gives excellent advice to help maintain the look and she is great with kids. The shop is beautiful and the service is consistently exceptional.

Since 2012, no one has touched my hair. Lina, Bona, and the whole team at Art of Hair Design are incredibly talented. The passion for their craft is felt in every visit. Despite living overseas, I just can’t trust anyone else for cut, color, brows, styling, etc. Beyond being best in class and incredibly creative, they are super well connected in the community and have, in countless occasions, made great referrals. Donna was recommended to me and I booked an appointment for highlights. Not only was she extremely rude, but her coloring was uneven and looked bad. When she washed my hair the water went down my back and soaked my shirt. The bleach from the hair dye ruined my shirt. My hair was brushed so roughly that my head was rocking back and forth and I could see and hear it ripping out. I had an awful, awful experience here. The next week I had to get my hair redone at a different salon. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I'm always pleased with the outcome, she is very efficient and services are very reasonably priced. Store is clean, a pleasant environment, wonderfully situated on Wells in Old Town, and the team is very patient! Highly reccomend

I wish I had visited this salon years ago! I had no idea how gifted these stylists are and I wish 😫 I had booked all my hair cuts here years ago! I have major trust issues having my hair trimmed because I've visited many salons in my past where the stylist chooses to "thin out" my frizzy wavy hair. Most of the stylists would actually make my frizzy hair so much worse by over texturizing and cutting into the interior of my hair because they thought my hair was too bushy. I started trimming my own hair by myself because I developed a phobia from growing out weird shapes and trendy cuts ✂️ because almost everyone who worked with me had their own agenda. Very few people actually understand curly, wavy, frizzy hair. One side of your head might have a better and stronger curl pattern than the other side. Typically it's best to cut curly hair dry so you can visually see how the hair will form a curl pattern. This afternoon Tanya had time to see me. I explained I had been trimming my own hair and I had a goal to hopefully get the volume to come back and let my hair hit my chest down the road. Tanya was very understanding and patient. She decided to leave my hair dry and brushes through my hair to see how it naturally lays. She painstakingly went through my strands reshaping my entire head of hair but leaving my fringe and front pieces alone. I asked her to blow-dry my hair today so I could enjoy a wavy and straight look as a treat. I left feeling sexy and hopeful because I finally found a good stylist I can trust! There's a good reason why this salon received such a high ranking on Google. Not only did I receive a wonderful cut for my hair type but the price is extremely reasonable and affordable. I would definitely love to continue with Tanya and also schedule some blow outs just to have a fun new look when I tend to get bored of my curls. This is definitely a relaxing place to receive skilled hair services 🙌 I appreciate the time Tanya took to explain everything she was doing and putting me at ease!

I've been going here for 8 years. Bona always makes me look and feel like a million bucks after a cut and style. I used to color my hair but Bona eased me away from it and I couldn't be happier with my natural color. I leave my hair in the hands of the experts.

Went to Lena for a cut for the first time....great Went to Lena for a blonde color for the first time.....perfect.... She is very accommodating and it was a pleasure...she even put on a toner one week after color because I thought it was a bit lighter than usual....can't wait to go back
