A facial from Priscilla Alvarez is a fantastic experience. I leave relaxed with my skin glowing! Priscilla takes the time to assess my needs and tailor a facial to address my problem areas. It's a soothing, comforting experience. I highly recommend her! Mariah Goguen has been cutting my hair for a few years now, and I wouldn't go to anyone else! She does a fantastic job. She's talented, friendly, consistent, and professional. I look forward to my appointments!

1. Cris is my go to for my color/style.. She recommended two products that were great for my hair while away on business. 2. Front desk staff answers the phone (most businesses have forgotten what this means) when I call for an appt and if no one is available to answer someone calls back within a short period of time. Very customer service oriented 3. Great assortment of maintenance hair care products (regular and trial size) to choose from . 4. Front desk staff was kind enough to advise me on the points I had accumulated to get a small discount on my purchase today. I had no idea. (Little things like this goes a long way)

I can't speak on the hair side of things, but the facials with Priscilla are great. I had such a pleasant and relaxing experience! Definitely book with her. She took her time, was knowledgeable, gentle, and kind. The experience was so holistic and I loved that. I almost caught myself wanting to fall asleep a couple of times because of being so relaxed, which is rare for me.

Artistik Edge was able to fit me in really last minute for a hair trim. I had recently gotten an uneven haircut and Rainbow was able to fix it while saving as much length as possible which I greatly appreciated. Overall it was a fantastic experience and everyone in the Salon was extremely kind.

I had made an appointment and came in, but was told that I wasn’t on the appointment list and when my last visit was. It’s kind of annoying because I had set this appointment up over the phone in advance and dedicated time to come for this appointment , but ended up being told it wasn’t even scheduled to begin with.

I have been coming to AE for my entire life! Rebecca recently colored and cut my hair, and her attention to detail is unmatched. She even stayed later to complete multiple extra steps to ensure my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it to. Everyone at the AE makes you feel fabulous & the front desk staff always greet you with a smile on their faces & ask if you need anything! Definitely would recommend the AE for your hair needs.

I went here once for a trim and wispy bangs. I have had bangs in the past and really enjoyed them and I told the stylist so. She proceeded to tell me how terrible bangs look on my face for the rest of my appointment and kept trying to swoop them to the side (which did look bad) despite me saying I didn't like it that way. Basically after treating me like a child the whole time (I'm in my 20s) and after finally agreeing to do the hair I was paying for she kept insisting it looked bad and tried to get me to style it like her hair. Never coming back and unless you just want to feel bad about yourself I don't recommend you do either.

Initially went there for a haircut (regular layers and bangs touch up) for a long hair and partial highlights, I wish their initial quote would hold which was about $70 for the haircut and $90 for the partial highlights +$50 for extra stuff if needed. But no, I was quoted another price by the stylist when I showed up for the appointment - $100 for the haircut and around $140 for partial highlight plus first time customer 20%off. I only ended up getting a haircut because the stylist was in rush, which I understand. Got a new appointment for next week and showed up only to find out a new quote which was $340 just for the partial highlights because my hair is too long? I mean the first stylist saw the hair, she gave me a haircut and a quote. Anyway, very disappointed with how things are handled around there. Truth is they are all friendly and nice, but this is people’s time and money. It is deeply disrespectful to agree on a time, day and certain amount, reschedule once, and disappoint once again. Seemed like a nice hair salon, and it was until it wasn’t. Sorry guys.

Rebecca is an absolute miracle worker. I’ve been going for 28 years (got my first haircut at 2yrs old) and will continue to go back! I’m never disappointed but in fact always in awe of what they do for my hair and confidence.

The stylist ran late. It was my first time. My haircut was ok but felt rushed as they did not do any layering. i also felt rushed because her client was sitting waiting to have the color rinsed from her hair. I could hear her asking other stylist to rinse her client for her. Fest one couldn’t rinse her, perhaps she was panicking to find someone. This shows poor mismanagement of time. When i went to check out i was given a price higher than what was quoted to me on the phone. Poor communication.

I have been going to AE for a few years pre COVID. You could call it the salon that could. They weathered a storm that most couldn’t and are better than ever . Rebecca is my stylist. She is technically the best there is. I have thrown out crazy, trendy ideas to her and it always works. My hair is healthy, colorful and most importantly, noticed . Beyond Rebecca’s acuity and abilities is a person I respect and like. My hair deserves Rebecca.

I was less than impressed, and the sad part was I only had a blowout. When I called and scheduled I verbatim said blowout WITH CURL. Even said it when I checked in. Rainbow finishes and I’m straight. I said I’m supposed to have a curl and she said oh that wasn’t what the schedule said. She proceeds to curl and seriously struggles with the iron - holding it, using it. She can’t get a curl and I asked for tight so it would last, but she couldn’t get any type of curl and said my hair is too clean. I’m like I’ve had blowouts with clean hair and curls stick fine. Then blames my extensions and says maybe whosever hair this was had really straight hair. Needless to say I went home added some texture spray and whatayah know I got curls. So I essentially paid for me to curl my hair myself. Kinda defeats the purpose, no?

My hair stylist told me about a new type of extensions that were easier to install compared to the tape in extensions I had. I had to pre-order the extensions, which were over $1000. Since I have gone to this salon for over a year now, and trusted them, I trusted that the extensions were good quality clamps in extensions like my hair stylist described. As she was installing the extensions in my hair yesterday, I realized that she was sewing them into my hair instead of clamping them in like we discussed. It turns out it was a weave. She did not clarify this when I purchased the extensions upfront. After I got home and looked at my hair, I immediately started crying. I talked to the manager today about a refund and she refused to refund me for the extensions which were over $1000. Instead, I got a refund of about $200. Be careful with this salon and make sure you know exactly what you’re paying for because they will not refund you if you’re not happy with your service.

This is a great local hair salon in the lake highland area. Mariah is an incredible stylist. 10/10 would recommend coming here and requesting Mariah for your next hair cut / hair color!!
