I went to this stylist 4 times… I kept coming back thinking maybe the next time I would feel more comfortable. 1. Price. Rachel DiMaggio charged me over her regular price ($275) she charged me $305. I left her $50-$60 tip every appt. Totaling $360 she made every 8 weeks. 2. Appt WAIT TIME. Everytime I showed up I had to wait 15-30 minutes before my appt started.. I never complained I just went with it. And when my appt started she apologized and had her helper start me. While she finished styling another client. I waited and never complained. EVERYTIME. 3. Appt LENGTH TIME. My appointment was told to take 3 hours or so. But she scheduled 2 people at the same time.. so my appointment would finally start at 1:30 and end at 6:30-7:00pm.. almost double time. She would leave me alone for 15-20 minutes alone sitting in a chair while she styled or foiled another clients hair.. I waited always. With wet hair cold sitting in a chair with no back to it. 4. Communication. in regards to changing an appt time or day are unrealistic. I notified 6 weeks.. beginning of May for appt during the last week in June, before my appt that I needed to change due to a baby shower out of state for my daughter… She never responded. Instagram is the only way to message her. I sent messages after messages. She said she never got them because she gets too many messages... Continuously no responses from Rachel my stylist who I tip $50-$60 every hair appt. Plus my $300 over charge. Finally the Monday before my appt she rescheduled but now says she is booked until August! So I have to wait another month before I can get in. 5. HER HELPER. She does most of her work. She washes my hair, she puts me under the dryer. She brushed me and blow drys me, she straightens me hair or curls me. Rachel assists in foiling me and she trims my hair other wise her helper does all of it. Who just graduated hair school less than a year. 6. Why did I keep going back? The annoyance of searching for another person. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings. It was easier to just deal with it and be upset for a day than to do something different. Note: I am new to Kansas City and don’t know the town very well. 7. Atmosphere.. The salon is a large salon. It’s nice on the 3rd floor. But no one greats you. It’s hard to find. There is no outside sign or arrows in order to find the place. Snobbish and entitled people who don’t acknowledge you at all. Smiles are fake. They all seem to have their own click of customers who they cling to. 8. Parking.. is an absolute disaster. You have to move your car every 2 hours. And that is difficult when your appointment is 5 hours long. Parking tickets finally encouraged me to get dropped off. But than I’d have to wait to get picked up because my appointment was always inbetween 2 other people. 9. Scheduling. Rachel could never ever schedule me on a weekend. Or after work at 5:00. It didn’t matter how many months ahead of time, I could never get a weekend spot. EVERY appt I had to take time off of work, AND because my spot went over at least 2 hours, I miss my gym time and I’m starving by the time I leave, then find a ticket on my car, after tipping this girl $50-$60! In fact, I talked to her about doing extensions for fun. She said they were 1600. Billed in 2 payments of $800. I’ve had extensions in Califirnia where I am from and NEVER PAID MORE THAN 400 for Real genuine hair. And had my fair done every 6-8 weeks. This stylist lost my business. I am appalled by how much I put up with by continuing to go back. Don’t make the same mistake I did.. pay attention to those red flags.. at least I can honestly say I really tried. I kept trying to give Rachel DiMaggio a chance. I kept thinking.. this girl is young, she is trying.. I get it.. but enough is enough! In one day of looking, I found someone to do my hair today! And I love it! And it’s half the price! And I have her cell number not a social media website in order to communicate! AND.. they provide you with a FREE parking lot! No more tickets! She took 2.5 hours!

Aezia is the best! She does not disappoint and listens to your hair goals. After a different salon visit left me with the wrong hair tone, I turned to Aezia to help fix my hair. I explained that I wanted a cool tone and absolutely no warm hues. Aezia worked her magic, transforming my hair to exactly what I wanted. I left the salon thrilled with the results and am excited to return for future appointments. Highly recommend her services!

I hate my haircut so much. I've been trying to "live in it" for almost two weeks now, and I swear it keeps getting worse. I can't even remember the last time I had a haircut this bad. I didn't get what I asked for, I was ignored every time I talked about a specific way my hair goes. I have to curl it every single day to hide how uneven and choppy it is. Which sucks because my hair doesn't hold a curl. It's almost impossible to cover up my cowlick, which was ignored completely. And the other side just looks like there's a whole chunk of hair missing from the back of my head. I begged and begged for her to take care of the awkward piece of hair that sits at the nape of my neck and she refused to trim it. Kept telling me she could show me tricks on how to "fix it". I know my hair, I've had the haircut I asked for so many times. Sadly my previous stylist moved away so I went here on a friend's recommendation. There's so much more but honestly I just don't have words. Also, it was supposed to be $75 and it was $90. I was rushed out the door without even being able to see the back of my head before I left or I would have sat in that chair until it was fixed. By anyone. My stylist was Rachel.

Aezia did an absolutely fantastic job! I wanted a warm tone blended caramel color and she certainly delivered. For the past six years I had gone to the best rated colorist in KC and was devastated when she moved out of state. Needless to say, I am pretty picky when it comes to hair and value a talented colorist. I feel like I’m almost betraying my previous stylist when I say this, but this might be my favorite coloring results I’ve ever had. It’s exactly what I wanted—perfectly blended, warm with an almost red undertone, all while maintaining the integrity of the hair. My hair feels silky smooth and looks even better than the inspiration photos. Aezia’s work is worth every penny and I could not recommend her enough!

chloe is the best in kansas city and i’ll die on that hill! im always so amazed with her work and she never fails to do absolute magic to my hair! it really is such a treat sitting in her chair as she is the sweetest most down to earth lady while she absolutely SLAYS at her job! as a lifelong blonde, i truly could not recommend her more!! she is seriously worth every penny and the pictures/videos she takes will make you feel like the main character!!

CHLOE is amazing! I’ve been going to her for about 6 months and she always nails my color. I feel so pampered and well taken care of each time I’m in her chair. 5 stars! 10/10 experience. 💕

Chloe is the most incredible hair artist! I have seen her exclusively since she started her own services there, and then before that, as an assistant to LB. We tend to make a whole day of it now as I have moved out of Kansas City, but I refuse to go anywhere else; it truly is like getting together with your best friend while she pampers you for hours! I was most recently there last week and she did EXACTLY what I wanted with my hair color, and on top of that had so many good suggestions on products to purchase to help my hair when I style it myself. Chloe is the real deal at Artistry!

I have been going to Chloe ever since I moved to KC, for about 8 months and have been so happy with the results! She takes such care of her clients and I always leave super excited about my hair color, cut & styling. I highly recommend Chloe for all hair needs in KC!

I went there as a recommendation and Chloe the stylist recommended Harper Ellis extensions. Within two weeks of having them in, they started calling out. Sue put them back in. Two more weeks they started falling out. Long story short, she said my hair is not made for them because it’s too fine and thin. I asked to have credits done on future appointments of cut and color because now I’m out $1850.00 after tip. She refused. I called Harper Ellis to get her some help to put them back in my hair. That made her mad so she refused to do anything now and said I need to go someplace else. Plus, she canceled my sister’s cut & color appointment the following month out of the blue. My sister had no idea what was even going on with the extensions. I left a voicemail for the owner, Laura, asking her to call me to try and figure it out. She never returned my call. Just a really bad way to go about business. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Talk about a queen, Chloe is it!! I’ve been going to her for a year now and every single time she has delivered the blonde I dreamed of. Her attention to detail and her focus on going above and beyond for her clients is truly unlike any experience I’ve ever had. If you are a blondie, run, don’t walk, to see Chloe!!

I have been going to Laura Beth for a year and a half now and I have never loved my hair more than I do now! It feels so healthy and I love the way she does it. I get so many compliments on my hair now!! Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Chloe for a year now and I won’t trust anyone else to do my hair. I always feel beautiful after she is done. She really takes her time to listen to what look you are trying to achieve and then she nails it every time. We have done all over color, high lights, low light, haircuts and she did my wedding. If you are looking for one of the best stylists in the KC metro area, look no further. On top of all that, she is genuinely just a great person as well.

I have been seeing Chloe for the past several months for hair extensions. I have absolutely loved every appointment that I’ve had with Chloe and she always makes me feel like she is explaining the entire process, step by step. Whenever I have any questions/need squeezed in, she makes sure that she accommodates my schedule! I would recommend seeing Chloe for hair extensions/coloring.

LB was great to work with! They were on time, professional and the girls all liked their make up. As the wedding coordinator it is important to me that vendors are timely, professional and do what they are contracted to do. LB was great, and I would recommend them to brides looking for wedding services. Cheers!
