Both my teenage son and I go to Ray for cuts and colors. Ray is an artist and hairstylist, and very skilled at what he does. I have thick, curly hair. Ray did an amazing job on my balayage, that still gets compliments months later. He also gives my teenage son, cool cuts and faded colors. He is very nice and has a small, comfortable salon in the heart of the LES. Highly recommend!

Ray is such a cool guy and I love the way my hair came out! I came in with maaaaajjjooor damage and breakage 😭 Like I was prepared to shave my head.... I'm on a "unf*ck my hair, whatever it takes" kind of journey. Ray was able to save so much of my length! I love the way my hair came out. It was easy to tell him about my routines and problems, and he gave me good advice I intend to implement. I had a wonderful experience. Thanks Ray!

Art+Ray is a vibe! I had such a joyful experience getting my highlights and haircut. The energy is vibrant and their attention to making sure I felt welcome, super comfortable, and inspired was awesome. I am really happy with my new style and will definitely go back. 5 stars.

I got a haircut, and It was my first time getting my hair professionally colored, and Ray took care of me. He explained proper hair care methods and the reasoning behind his decisions to reach my goal. My goal was to brighten my face and add more dimension to my hair through balayage.

The best balayage, highlights, haircut and hair color services I’ve ever had, and long lasting. The staff is friendly, professional and very fast. The location is right in the heart of the East village. The salon is really clean and plays the hippest music. The hair dressers, colorists and stylists are quick and efficient, which keeps me coming back!

Did my hair color at Art-Ray for the first time. Ray is very patience and kind. My hair color came out better than expected. Also did a hair treatment on my dry hair, my hair really needed it without me realizing. It looks a million bucks. Amazing! The salon is new, clean, bright and welcoming. Very relaxing experience.

Had such a great experience with Ray. I haven't had a good haircut in a very long time and my hair is so healthy and brand new thanks to Ray's skill and expertise! Have been getting tons of compliments from all my family, friends and coworkers. Also! The salon is very inviting and makes you feel at home. Ray has a lot of great art work all throughout the studio. It was a lovely experience and I plan to make it my go-to salon for everything!
