I would not recommend this place for people with ethnic hair. I am Indian so my hair is not super unruly or difficult to deal with, but the styling has to be on point. I did mention this at the start and once the thinning scissors were brought out I knew I was in trouble. I let it sit for 2 weeks to see if it would settle, it didn't. When I went back the owner told me that I had waited too long and acted super inconvenienced like I was a huge bother. She then had her assistant hack at it some more with the thinning scissors. When I went to my regular stylist in NYC he was shocked at the botch job he had to fix.

Assunta Salon was so accommodating to our schedule. We came from Kansas for my daughter’s senior pictures and they nailed the look we wanted. Natural, yet beautiful! Kim and Assunta were down to earth and great conversation. They had great suggestions for attaining the perfect look! We definitely recommend them and plan to be back in the future! A+ salon and staff!

I had the pleasure of working with Assunta and Kim for my wedding hair and makeup. Not only were they talented, professional, and knowledgeable, but they were also so down to earth and kind. They put me at ease from the moment I met them! I knew that I would be in great hands on my wedding day. Assunta tamed my thick curly hair into a gorgeous wavy blown-out glam style for my wedding day, and Kim's makeup made me feel like a goddess. They also did the hair and makeup for my maid of honor, my mother, and my daughter, and we never felt rushed or like we were running behind at all. The whole process of working with them was amazing, and the quality of their work is second to none!

I just got my hair done today and I absolutely love It! Assunta is extremely professional, knowledgeable and honest. She told me exactly what I could and could not do. I love her! She's a genius along with her incredibly kind staff (Alex and Kimmy). The entire salon is very accommodating and supportive. I love the atmosphere of Assunta salon make me feel so comfortable like my own home. There was a nice aroma and the decor was phenomenal! Overall, it was an amazing experience. 🥰

I love Assunta! I had a major color correction done and I couldn’t have been more happy with the results! She walked me through each step because I was feeling pretty down about my hair and really communicated properly about what she was doing to ensure my confidence in her and that we were both on the same page. She let me know to speak up if I wasn’t happy with anything but I had no complaints or concerns because she really listens!

I recently took my 3 year old daughter to see Assunta for her first haircut. What an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with warm welcomes and friendly personalities both from the staff and their customers. The salon itself is absolutely beautiful and kept meticulously clean, which is so important to us during these times. Assunta and Kim were fabulous with my daughter - they made her feel comfortable and excited. She felt like a little princess! Although it was just a trim, Assunta took her time and even styled her hair with curls. We can’t wait to return and cannot recommend this amazing salon - and Assunta’s services - more!

When you walk into Assunta Salon you are greeted and welcomed like family. The level of professionalism and expertise of the staff exceeded our expectations. We were working on a tight timeline and the staff was able to efficiently complete hair and makeup on all of our models. Everyone walked out feeling their absolute best and our photoshoot would not have been as successful without Assunta, Kimberly and Alex. Whenever I walk into Assunta Salon, it's like I'm entering the home of a friend. The environment & energy of the space is as welcoming as it's hostess. Assunta's attention is devoted entirely to me each time I take her chair, and that's only part of why I keep coming back. My fine, fried, & frizzy hair has been transformed into a multidimensional copper & gold color pallette of cascading curls in her hands. My hair looks thicker with the addition of high & lowlights & my curls are still behaving beautifully after a B3 Brazilian Bond Builder treatment 3 weeks ago. I'm feelin' myself & more so feeling grateful to Assunta for always listening to what I want & knowing just what I need. Next, I'm booking for a special occasion updo & can't wait! I thank you from my voluminous roots to my expertly trimmed ends!

Assunta is a true artist. She is fantastic w color and did an absolute amazing job on hand tied extensions. This is the first time I have gotten this method and felt like they were secure and aren’t going to sag. She did such a beautiful job. I highly recommend !!!

Best haircut I've ever gotten. No joke. Gave her an idea of what I was looking for and she nailed it! I'm also not one to "do" anything to my hair. Assunta showed me that using product and blow drying it is easy and doesn't take more than a minute or two.

I know I wanted two things out of getting my hair done. A great shine and a clean trim. What I didn’t know however, was that I wanted much more and that’s exactly what Assunta accomplished with my hair!! I absolutely love my new look as she took my hair to new levels that I never knew could be reached before!
