I’ve been to Anastacio a handful of times and after years of not being able find someone in Santa Barbara who can cut my thick hair well, I’ve found my guy. Anastacio is professional, focused and does a great cut. I’ve been to excellent stylists in LA and NYC and Anastacio is one of the best cuts I’ve ever gotten. Highly recommend.

It can be hard to find someone who can cut medium-long hair for men. Anastacio is also alway open to feedback and is easy to talk to. I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Anastacio is a hair dresser whose business thrives due to his dedication to the craft of men hairstyling. With him, I notice more care and detail with my hair than with other hair dressers I’ve seen in the past. The way that my haircut comes together seems more deliberate, coming in different stages through multiple passes at different areas of my head, until the final product comes together. Unlike previous hairdressers, where it seems their goal is to “remove volume”, it feels like Anastácio is “sculpting” my hair. Moreover, Anastácio asks poignant questions to his clients to ascertain what sort of hairstyle will fit their personality and lifestyle best. Does one need a low maintenance hairstyle, or does one want to spend time styling it everyday? Does one want to come in every 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks? Etc. Nailing a hairstyle can be a collaborative process with Anastacio. Further, through our conversations, it is evident that Anastácio has invested into his hairstyling education well beyond the necessary requirements to obtain a license, going to workshops and learning from world leaders in men hairstyling. Anastacio is by far the best for men’s hairstyles. I’ve tried so many long hairstyles over the years and I used to dread going in for haircuts. Several friends of mine recommended I check out Anastacio. He understood right away what I wanted and nailed it first shot. I legitimately have never had so many compliments on the length and style of my hair. He does a really good job of making your haircut look very natural and you won’t need to come back every month for touch ups. I went 3 months before needing to go back. He’s the real deal and truly cares about what he’s doing. Worth every penny.

Anastacio was great. I came in with pretty long hair that hadn't been cut in over a year and not really sure what to do with it. I showed him just a few photos of what I had in mind and he knew exactly what direction to go. I feel like a lot of barbershops don't know how to cut long hair for guys so it was cool to finally meet someone who does. He's super professional and takes his craft seriously. I will definitely be seeing him again for future cuts.

I just moved to Santa Barbara last week. I was getting my haircut from a friend for years and I was worried about finding a new barber. I was fortunate enough to have stumbled across Anastacio's business. He provided a great experience from beginning to end. I wasn't able to describe exactly what I was looking for, but Anastacio was able to decipher what I was saying and give me options as to how we can achieve the haircut I ultimately wanted. He also was able to describe exactly what he was doing and how it would affect the overall haircut. He does exceptionally well with his craft. I would highly recommend anyone in the Santa Barbara area, or even if you're just visiting town, to receive an exceptional haircut experience from Atelier by Anastacio!

This guy knows how to cut hair. I used to bounce around from barber to barber, until I met Stass! Every time I go in to get a haircut it’s personal - he fits my hair style to my life. There have been phases where I need it high and tight, we just finished a grow out (w/ a transition into longer hair), and most recently he gave me a cut that is in the middle of long and short. Every single haircut has been GREAT. In the past it was just a hair cut but this is a full blown (wink) experience. I always walk out feeling good about my hair and the next morning when I wake up it’s matured like a fine wine. Stass makes my hair fit my life. I don’t wanna spend time doing my hair daily, I don’t make time for that, but when I’m going out or find myself lucky enough to catch a date I can make it look niiiice!! I enjoy the banter, there is never an awkward moment or a lull in conversation, I look forward to catching up with Stass again!!

really phenomenal haircut, if you’re looking for someone in Santa Barbara this guy is running the barber game. Firstly, while it may be a tad expensive I pay $120 back in LA, and my haircut from Anastasio is cheaper and gets 3X more compliments. With that out of the way, he is an absolute pro with a great concept of hair and what makes a good haircut, I personally have never met a barber with the level of technical proficiency you can expect from Anastacio. Beyond that, he’s a great guy who will give you a fascinating conversation. Ask him about how barbers are the new NBA players; he has a really fascinating take on the future of hair. Go here right now for a great cut and conversation. You will not regret it.

I've had the pleasure of having Anastacio as my stylist for over 2 years now. From the start, he took the time to get to know me, and with that familiarity, together we planned and executed a new style that was still true to my prior style, but different enough that it expanded my overall style in a new direction that I'm very happy with and have continued to this day. He keeps himself abreast of new techniques and emerging styles and looks that he is happy to share, especially as to how these can be incorporated into your current look or could allow for the continued evolution of your overall style. I'm always happy with the finished look after every session. His attention to detail gives assurance that he's doing the very best for you. He's even styled my 10 yo boy who is very proud of his long hair. As such, he was afraid to let anyone cut his hair, but after seeing what Anastacio's done for me and even coming with me and watching him work during one of my appointments, he was open to letting Anastacio clean up his look yet keeping the overall style of his long hair. At the end of his own session, when asked what he thought of what Anastacio did, he described it as, "perfect." Now he has yet another devoted client. Aside from my son, he's even styled my father's hair. In summary, Anastacio is both an artist and an engineer and he'll never disappoint. I give him my highest recommendation.

If you're looking for a quality barber in Santa Barbara, look no further. All you need is Atelier by Anastacio. I love this place so much that I wrote a short poem. "Atelier by Anastacio The only place you can purchase confidence. The only place you can buy self-esteem. The only place you go in looking like s*** - and leave looking like a dream." Seriously though, Anastacio is amazing. He consistently gives the best hair cuts I certainly have ever had and always gives great styling tips. He is very meticulous with a technique and craftsmanship that comes from an obvious dedication and passion for his work. On top of that he's very personable and a great conversationalist. My hair is extremely difficult to deal with - thick, curly, frizzy, and long. I wanted to find someone in town that could help me style it instead of getting your standard barber cut, and Anastacio definitely provided that. His attention to detail and care is unmatched. He took the time to consult with me and make sure he knew what I wanted, and everything he did had a clear purpose. Definitely the best haircut experience I've ever had.

When I get a haircut I typically just tell the stylist a length and let them do their thing, so it’s important that they’re talented. Anastacio has that talent. I’ve got medium length hair so I avoid barbers which makes it challenging to find a proper haircut in town. I’ll definitely be getting future cuts from Anastacio, I was very pleased with the results.
