What I most like about my salon experience at Aveda at Santana Row is how friendly and attentive the staff are. From the moment I walk in, I feel very taken care of.With my stylist, Kim, I can always count on a great haircut! Whenever I have a questions or concern about my hair, she is able to help. I have been seeing Kim for, I think, 10 years, and I know that I'm in good hands when I walk in to get my haircut.I have been going to Aveda salons for the last almost 20 years and have always been impressed by the attention they give to their clients.

My appointment at Atelier was my first time. Although Atelier posts their prices online, the price can change depending on what level of expertise you are comfortable with and who you select. For example, someone who has 3 years experience, the $230 cost for partial highlights, toner and haircut is most likely $250. I was fortunate to have the stylist, Estela, who charges $250 for these services, and I came away very pleased with her work. I let her know I wanted baby strips of highlights, that I may need toner and to cut my out-of-shape style in long layers. My highlights turned out beautifully, my hair shines from the toner and my haircut was done perfectly!

Getting my hair cut at Atelier feels like meeting a friend just to catch up. Kelly is great! She knows what I like, remembers my stories and makes getting a haircut an overall joy. The staff are also very kind and welcoming.

I started seeing Estela a few months ago. She just touched up my gray roots and gave me lighter (caramel) highlights to diffuse the line of demarcation. She did a terrific job. My hair looks fabulous!! Estela is professional, knowledgeable and easy going which makes for a relaxing time at the salon. Don’t hesitate to book with her!

I’ve been going weekly because I absolutely love how all the services start with a quick relaxation massage on the scalp and neck using essential oils. Honestly, that’s the main reason I keep going but not the only. I book blowouts and add-on treatments just to experience this massage and my hair also looks great! The treatments themselves are also amazing and have truly transformed my hair; it feels healthier and looks so much better now. I also have to mention how incredible the front desk team is—they’re absolutely 5 stars. They always make me feel so special, offering gifts, perks, tea, and water. The level of care and attention they provide is exceptional and genuine, and I love the way I’m treated every time I go. Stephanie is the stylist who completely converted me. She’s amazing, but she’s always so busy that I’ve had to book with others. The first time I tried someone else, the stylist was skilled, and I liked her work a lot, but she mentioned that massages like this are best done at Korean scalp care salons. I appreciated her honesty, and I was happy with the 2 minutes of relaxation she provided—it was nice my hair looked lovely. . Then, during my third visit, the stylist told me that this relaxation experience is only included with haircuts. I was surprised because Stephanie had told me it’s a standard part of all Aveda services. This stylist gave me a quick 1-minute massage and washed my hair very fast plus didn't let my hair stay with the treatment sit on a hot towel during 5-10 mins. While she was lovely and had a great personality, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. For now, I’ve decided to wait patiently for Stephanie, as she’s clearly the best fit for me. That said, I’m still wondering if this 5-minute relaxation massage is actually Aveda’s standard protocol, or if it’s just Stephanie going above and beyond.

Last week, I came down with a severe cold that left me bedridden for 48 hours, and as a result, I missed my appointment with Frances. Over the weekend, I started feeling better, though I now need to care for my wife. I called the office to reschedule my appointment, and to my surprise, I was informed that I had been charged the full amount ($80) for the missed appointment due to their no-show policy. I began the conversation by apologizing and explaining my situation, and when I clarified that I had been unwell, the person on the other end simply responded, "Uh-huh, that's our policy." I was taken aback by the lack of empathy and understanding in their response. I ended the call by saying, "I'm not interested, thank you, and have a great day." I was initially planning on leaving a generous tip for Frances because of my no show anyways (she is awesome BTW), but after this experience, I was disheartened by how impersonal and rigid the company's approach was. It seems that they prioritize policies over customer care, treating clients like just another number. I've decided to take my business elsewhere. It's a shame because I had hoped for a more considerate customer experience. Additionally, allegedly it seems that there is no clear or easy way to delete my personal data from their website, which raises concerns about compliance with California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). As a resident of California, I believe they may allegedly be violating Section 1798.105 of the CCPA, which grants consumers the right to request deletion of their personal data. This only adds to my frustration.

The lack of stress during my first appointment with McKenzie is what I liked most about my first visit to Atelier Studio. She is warm, kind, and highly skilled at her craft. Her attention to detail is fabulous. She takes her time and does things right. Thanks McKenzie! The lighting in the salon isn’t cruelly over bright, which, at my age, is much appreciated. There is a nice mix of ages in the clientele and the atmosphere in the salon is warm and fun.

I've seen Frances a couple of times now and I adore her work! She really listens and can intuit exactly what you want and execute perfectly. You know it's a good haircut when you can't stop running your fingers through it and you love catching your reflection that day! I got a much shorter cut this time and I feel so freeeee! Side note, some days I feel a little introverted or just low key but it's not an issue because she's super nice and calm and it doesn't feel like we have to talk every single second which would make me anxious. I also have scalp issues about which I can feel a little self-conscious but I feel comfortable with her. It's just a relaxed experience! I'm happy I can trust her with big changes and it always turning out so well. Like a hair version of All State, you're in good hands with Frances! :)

I had a wonderful experience. Everyone there was extremely friendly, and my hairstylist KelMarie was great about asking questions and giving helpful suggestions to ensure I got the hairstyle I wanted. I would definitely go back again.

It was my first time ever at Atelier Salon and loved every second of it. From the moment I opened the door the customer service started. The hairstylist that helped me was Esthela. She had great attitude and gave me some recommendations as to what would best suit me. I LOVED IT. I loved how the finished look made me look and it suited me so well all thanks to her. She was very gentle and caring with my fragile hair and even recommended some products I should use to strengthen it. Overall, she made my first time experience be great. I would definitely come back to the salon just for her to work on me again. 10/10 Rating

Very friendly customer service. Stylist Nicolle was thorough and concise and explained process on how to achieve goal of getting the look I wanted. She confirmed that I liked the thickness and placement of bangs before cutting it shorter to a length I was comfortable with.

I recently visited Atelier Salon for a blow-dry and style, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The stylist seemed very amateur, lacking the skill and confidence you’d expect from a professional. The blow-dry was uneven, and the styling was poorly done, leaving my hair looking flat and lifeless. It was clear that attention to detail was lacking, and the result was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this salon for anyone looking for quality hair styling services.

We did balayage and haircut here. They were good but what really impressed me is that after leaving we noticed that the bangs were not as expected and went back and the owner listened to everything we had to say, and cut the bangs exactly the way we wanted, herself. We were blown away by the way the bangs looked after that. She was absolutely wonderful. Thank you.

Needed a new colorist and ESTELA was assigned to do my hair. ESTELA did a fantastic job. Over the years I've had a hard time finding a colorist that did it just right for me. I explained to her what I wanted and she just knew what to do to get it right the first time. She's a keeper, I couldn't be any happier.
