Bobby at Aura Salon is amazing! He cuts and colors my hair as well as cuts my 3 young adullt boys hair. He listens to what we all want but also makes suggestions to change it up a bit. We have all been happy with the outcome every time. The new salon is great too, nice ambiance and clean!

Now at Aura Salon, I met Kevin Wheatley at Fringe when I walked in for a consult. That was at least 7 years ago. Anyway, I wanted platinum, so we set up an appointment, and I was thrilled with the outcome. I felt like Marilyn Monroe! The color and cut were beautiful. Needless to say, Kevin has been my go-to stylist ever since. When you meet Kevin, you will notice his unique style, his great smile, and his gentle eyes. This is beautiful hair salon on great location. Plenty parking around. Let alone stylist are extremely friendly and welcoming. Very fun environment to spend time. Love them

Aura salon is AMAZING! It's quaint but the energy of stylists and clients is welcoming, friendly and fun! The team truly works together and enjoys each other and as a client you can feel welcomed and that you're in the best hands. I have been seeing Kevin for my hair for the better part of a decade. My experience with him has been the absolute best! He always has my best/healthiest hair in mind, has definitely pointed me in the right direction with style and products to keep my hair in tip top shape! Love the salon and would recommend to anyone looking for great stylists in Chicao.

A neighborhood gem. Bobby and Patrick do an amazing job and are such great people. The atmosphere is great - very inviting with a modern design inside. It's truly the best haircut I've ever had. I'll be a customer for a long time.

Bobby was recommended to us for my teenage son who has somewhat, seemingly difficult hair to cut due to the texture and relaxed curl. We were so pleased with his cut and with Bobby’s service, suggestions and recommendations, the conversation, and reasonable price/value for a high end cut that now my entire family of four go to him! Furthermore, my sister, who is an Aveda school alumni and has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years, 15 of that as a high end hair stylist (no longer does hair due to health reasons) and esthetician loves what he does with our hair and is also now a loyal customer! Bonus - his loyal companion and shop pet, Link, may be the cutest dog in North America! If you’re lucky he will be there when you go. Bobby is a magician and Link is his side-kick! (Or perhaps the other way around? 🤔) Go!

I've followed Patrick across the city from Wicker Park to Andersonville and now to North Center. He is an artist when it comes to hair and I've never had a better cut. He's warm, knowledgeable around the latest trends and truly talented. Patrick also cuts my 8 year old's hair and does great w kids!

I've had Bobby as my hair stylist for several years and am so happy he has been able to open a salon of his own with his business partner Patrick. Bobby does a fantastic job cutting my hair, something which may other stylist struggle with as I have straight, fine hair. Bobby is the only stylist who is consistently able to give me layers which build body throughout my hair and seamlessly blend in. Bobby washes my hair but then blow dries it and cuts it dry. This helps me see the exact length which is being taken off so there are no surprises at the end. I enjoy the appointments are fast and Bobby is easy to talk with. Plus sometimes Bobby brings his adorable dog Link to the salon! Aura is the perfect spot for anyone looking for an incredible haircut that doesn't cost an arm and leg for a haircut.

Bobby is the BEST. He’s funny and friendly and so talented. He cuts my hair and my daughter’s hair and we have never been disappointed. He also gives dog biscuits to all the neighborhood dogs and, if you’re lucky, his adorable dog Link will be in the salon. You will not regret your trip to aura salon!

I've been getting my hair cut and styled by Bobby for almost two years. My friend who previously lived in Chicago recommended him. I made an appointment, saw his talent at work, and never looked back. Let me be clear: I take my hair very, very seriously. It's part of my confidence, what I consider my "look," and I work hard at taking care of it. Bobby not only understands this, but he supports and educates me. Through his advice and skill, I have what I think is the best hair of my life. I consistently get compliments, including a recent stop at Target where a woman - who also said she was a hair stylist! - stopped to compliment me. I'd recommend him to anyone - men, women, non-binary folks, and anyone looking to have an expert take care of their cut and/or color.

LOVE Aura Salon and Bobby is an absolutely amazing hair slayer! Being in the beauty industry myself, it says a lot to find a hairstylist you can just relax and let them do their thing. Bobby is THAT stylist. I have curly hair and love having blonde highlights that brighten my face. I have never had to even discuss blonde tones or ask for "non warm highlights" (IYKYK). Bobby does what is best for my hair / skin tone and it's amazing every time. It's also fun to leave at times with a Farrah Fawcett blow out, which sometimes seems like a lost art. But not at Aura. Bobby will have you skipping out the door swooshing your beautiful hair around. Both Bobby and business partner (and hair slayer), Patrick have created a beautiful inclusive environment at Aura. They are amazing humans that have clearly invested many years into their craft and now this incredible space. Cannot recommend making this one your salon home enough! Thank you Bobby and Patrick for creating this beautiful, safe space for so many of us in Chicago.

We love Bobby at Aura Salon! He cuts my hair as well as my daughter, son, and husband’s. He listens, and gives us all the styles we want. I also get a keratin treatment that he recommended, and I love how smooth and healthy it has made my hair. The new salon is lovely, too!

I love Mirror Ball! Patrick is the only stylist I trust with my colors and cuts. He’s attentive, skilled at the latest color & fashion techniques, and absolutely the best and friendliest stylist I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
