Carol does exactly what I ask and above and beyond! She is so good at knowing what I want and doing the exact same color I’m thinking and she gets it done fast. She is my favorite at customer service and she knows exactly what you’re looking for. I’m so happy with Carol and recommend her to all my friends.

Carol is one of my favorite humans. I met her about a two years ago and she genuinely knows how to do AWESOME HAIR. She listens, she has amazing talent and will even let me pop in and get a quick bang trim same day. (she requests that I do not do it myself, otherwise she will have to just fix it- totally agree, I do not need to mix my bangs and scissors lol). She is amazing at what she does. She does my hair which is thin and stick straight as well as my daughters which is super thick and wavy- both always look great when we are done.

I started to see Carol at Aura Salon because I couldn’t deal with my last stylist canceling last minute or delaying me for hours. I was nervous at first but Carol made me feel incredibly welcomed and took the time to converse with me to get to know me and what my goals were for my hair color and style. I am incredibly indecisive so I’ve changed my hair at least 13 times now in the last few years ranging anywhere from super long bleach blonde to a short bob length dark brown and then adding high lights and low lights which have all been within a minutes notice most time. I love this salon because of the laid back yet, clean and classy environment, and especially because of all of the hard working stylists there who work incredibly well as a team. So thank you Carol for taking me as a client, my hair went from sad, dry and brittle to healthy and happy. Now it grows so fast! Also, I sent and inspo picture and it was spot on! You go girl!!! I have finally found my forever stylist!

They were closed for whatever reason and it sucked because I had read good things and wanted to get done up nice for a Christmas party. Luckily great clips did a pretty steller job

These are the worst layers I’ve ever gotten, by Carol. Nothing the photos can’t show for themselves. Who cuts layers to be long in the front and short in the back?? .. Everything was choppy and looked ridiculous. Maybe would have been better if she was focused on cutting hair and not reading text messages. I tried going back to the salon to get it fixed and was greeted with passive aggressiveness. I was gentle with my request to have it redone but that was clearly taken as an insult. Carol took a look at my cut and had no idea what was wrong with it, said it was “crazy because everything looks even”, and took scissors to trim a cm off on one side before asking if it looked fixed. Um? I left and went to a different salon to get this fixed and immediately the stylist saw how boxy the layers were. Said it was like a bowl cut going around my head, sitting on top of a longer chunk of hair. Wish I could have asked for a refund for this $80 cut but there’s no way that would have been responded to empathetically. Edit: I did receive a refund, thank you to the owner, I appreciate the help

Hair was pulled and yanked during entire trim. Was extremely painful. Then she straightened my a hair after I told her I have naturally curly hair and don’t straighten it. Cut was mediocre. It was just a trim and it’s very jagged.

I was in search of a great fade and great style. After trying multiple locations in Reno, I found Aura Salon and probably the best stylist i have ever met. I highly recommend Alina, she is exceptionally detail oriented and is passionate about providing great style to her clients. The salon is full of great energy and friendly people.

V Adan was so kind. I was able to get in really quick. She worked magic and really took the time to listen to what I was looking for. I absolutely loved the botanical deep condition treatment she did and it truly perked my hair up. 10/10 !!

If I could give 10 stars 🌟 I would! My stylist VAL is amazing! I came in for color, cut and treatment. Val brought my hair back from the dead literally!!! She listened to what I wanted and delivered. when she washed my hair I was in heaven! The scalp and neck massage she gave was perfection! Thank you Val for such an amazing experience. I came in for a color correction with a goal of going a caramel color. (My hair color was black). My stylist was Alina. From the beginning she was very transparent about possible results and reassuring that no matter the results she would make sure I loved it. It turned out PERFECT. Alina was so sweet and engaged in conversation with me the whole time and walked through what each process was. I also met Stephanie who was also nice and helped with some of the process. I felt so comfortable from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out.

I started going to Aura back in November 2022 and have not gone anywhere else since. Everyone there is super friendly, caring, and professional. Val is my fave, she knows exactly what I want and helps me work with my curls. I 100% recommend Aura for all your hair needs.

My usual stylist doesn't reside in Reno so I decided to try this salon based on reviews. It was unfortunately a big mistake and the worst experience I have ever had. My stylist, Alina, was rushed from the start. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but when she took another appointment in the middle of my hair processing, I knew my gut was correct. I asked her to dye my hair back to my natural brown (I had a couple lighter front pieces, the rest was my natural color) and she took all of my hair all the way to black basically. Nowhere near my natural brown. When her other client wanted to leave, she made sure to let him know she was almost done with "this one". Now I'm stuck with hair color that I will need to get corrected (so more money and several more appointments to strip the black color). I hate to be this person, but I would never advise anyone to go here. The opposite, I would warn them.

Decided to get a haircut on a whim today as I only cut my hair about once a year, and I'm so glad I did. I booked with Robert and had the best experience from start to finish. The wash was great, he cut my hair exactly how I wanted with keeping my natural curls in mind and did a full straightened style all in under an hour! His 30 years experience shine through in everything he does and he created such a welcoming environment for a first time customer. I've never left a salon feeling and looking as great as I did today and will 100% book with Robert again in the future.
