The experience alone! Top Tier..My weight is 260 pounds right now. I had a Hour Massage & the therapist was so good at her Job, I walked out of there discombobulated on how good it felt.. THE best massage I’ve ever had, I agree with those who agree with me with that statement. S/0 to the member @ Kollective for recommending this spot to me. Really helped out my low back issues. Thank you to the staff there

I have had a couple of great massages at AustinDEEP Downtown in the past and my husband and I were repeat customers. My most recent massage, however, was a terrible experience. I had come to expect a high quality deep tissue massage with firm and consistent pressure from previous experiences here. AustinDEEP advertises that all of their therapists are trained in their DEEP™ fascia-focused method. Unfortunately, I had to ask the therapist for more pressure 4 separate times. After each ask, she was able to apply deeper pressure for a minute or so and then reverted back to a light, ineffective Swedish-style massage. It seemed she was physically capable of deeper pressure only in short bursts, but not consistently over the course of an hour long massage. After I asked for more pressure for the 4th time, the therapist informed me that she had reached the maximum limit of her pressure and suggested that I request a different therapist next time. It was surprising and disappointing to come for a massage at DEEP, to request deep tissue work, and to be told by the therapist that they could not accommodate this request. I spent the majority of my session stressed about the fact that I was throwing away $160 on a bad massage.

Clara was GREAT! The physical building was creepy and felt dirty/worn, didn't like the open ceilings, didn't like hearing the other rooms, didn't trust their were not cameras etc. Didn't like the music

I had a torn labrum in my shoulder for a couple of years. Been doing PT for about a year. Better but still painful. Feels like about an 80% pain reduction after appointment.

So first, this place is sooo freaking cool, convenient, and professional. My masseuse was Elizabeth, the booking said she's new, but she has the skills of veteran. It was a very modern take on the redundant massage experiences in the area. This is my go to spot from here on out

Because my therapist was running behind on his schedule, he cut my massage short of what I booked, and without even letting me know. I was told as I was leaving and paying. I am also a licensed therapist and have never chosen one clients time over another to catch up on my schedule. It’s not fair and it’s just bad business.

Halley was fantastic and really helped my neck pain and headaches in a short amount of time. It was easy to book online, easy to find the location, and the ambience was perfect. I was so excited to find a place that specializes in deep tissue massages and will definitely be back next time I'm in Austin!

Since every review was 5 stars, wanted to give my version because it was not what I experienced. Bottom 3 massages I’ve ever had and won’t be back. Disappointed due to how convenient of a location it’s in right in the heart of downtown. Best comparison I can think of is like a car wash. You can get a hand wash where they’ll focus on areas of the car that are dirtier than another and change things up if needed for the best result. Or you can go to a machine car wash at a gas station where it does the same routine, no matter what the circumstances are. This was like the machine car wash at a gas station. 20 circles clockwise, 20 circles counter clockwise, etc. Didn’t matter about the tension in my lower back or hips, it just seemed like they were following a routine. Not sure if my masseuse was licensed and experienced or if she just completed their AustinDeep massage boot camp course. No profiles on their site to inform me about their credentials or experience. I usually go to Mantis Massage but I couldn’t get anyone for at least a week, but AustinDeep had people available at all times. At Mantis, they would notice a knot and point it out to me, discuss where the tension is coming from or if I’m feeling any referred pain in another area. None of that at AustinDeep. Lastly, I signed up on their website and got a confirmation email after setting up an account for a massage the following day after work. I got out of work the next day with a voicemail saying my appointment was cancelled due to not having a card on file, although it didn’t ask me for card information when I setup the appointment and account online. Pretty poor experience overall.

Was within walking distance to the hotel. Price wise is higher than my state. It seems to be the average rates within downtown Austin but very good service and thorough massage.

I came here on vacation when my IT band was painful and they were able to provide me with comfort. They’re able to pinpoint the issue and in the hour of the event, were able to provide my muscles a release that mattered.

Staff were excellent and the place has a really good vibe. The massage beds are next level comfortable. I normally have issues with face/head being face down so long. Not this time.

The therapist was right on point with the application of pressure and the delivery of relief of sore muscles and knots. I especially love how she released the pressure I was experiencing on my head and neck. Her hands are magical. Will definitely be back soon.
