It had been a year since I visited a hair salon due to bad experiences. However, my experience at Avanti was exceptional. My stylist, Mina spent about 45-minutes discussing options for my hair. She could sense my hesitation and also took my hair’s health into consideration. I left feeling highly satisfied with the results. It was a relief to leave a salon feeling “I just got my hair done!” Many thanks for the patience and care.

First time in the salon recently and let me tell you I have been very disappointed in salons I have gone to for a very long time. I had almost just given up on them over all but Avanti is amazing!!!! I love the building,very clean and very very different from other salons in Greensboro. I have very curly hair and I have been so over it for a while I was thinking of getting a perm but I knew how much damage it can do. When I called the salon I spoke to the owner and he recommended the magic sleek instead. I am so darn happy with the results! The service completely straighten my crazy hair and left it so soft it’s really magic. I had really damaged hair after a salon women in Ulta completely destroyed it 2 years ago. I could say so much more I love about this salon but in short I will be a long term customer for my salon search is over. I will also be recommending this salon to everyone I know.

As a longtime resident of the area with over 20 years of experience trying various salons in Greensboro and the surrounding areas, I had yet to find one that met my expectations—until now. I recently scheduled an appointment at this salon and specifically requested Gary. He did my highlights, and a few weeks later recommended a keratin blowout to address my chronically frizzy hair. Given my past experiences with ineffective treatments, I was initially skeptical, but I decided to trust his expertise. The results have been remarkable. Gary not only delivered beautiful highlights but also transformed my hair with the keratin treatment. The frizz is completely gone, and my hair has never looked healthier. At 52, I’ve finally found a salon that I’m confident will be my go-to moving forward. The customer service is exceptional, the staff is welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is wonderful. Most importantly, my hair has never looked better.

I love going to Avanti Salon and having my hair done by Stephanie. I also feel very comfortable and cared for. I get my hair permed, colored and cut there and would not go anywhere else. They also advise me on how to keep my hair healthy. I love the expert assistance I get there.

I've been a client for years and have never had a bad experience. The stylists are always super sweet and helpful. Brittany has been my ongoing stylist for a while and always helps me realize the look I'm going for since I know nothing when it comes to hair and it's always wonderful. I can't recommend Jake, the massage therapist enough! It's like going to a healthcare provider!

I have been going to Jake for therapeutic massages for many years. All I can say is that he just keeps getting better! He is so dedicated to his profession and the continuing education he continues to pursue. I was so pleased with my session yesterday. The knowledge he uses creates a complete body healing for me. I could not be happier with his service. Avanti is fortunate to have him as an employee.

I had a haircut with Mady today and she was wonderful. I have long hair and was wanting long layers and face framing without losing too much length. Mady did exactly what I asked and my hair feels and looks so good! The girls at the front desk were nice and courteous and used my name multiple times. Wonderful experience. Will definitely be back to see Mady!

By far my favorite hair salon I have ever been to. They are all super friendly there and the atmosphere is really nice. It’s situated in the back of a shopping center where theres nice nature views while you get your haircut. Highly recommend!

I love my hair stylist, Donna Federico. She's very nice and always welcoming. In addition, she's very professional and skilled. I wish I had counted the number of compliments I got after my last cut and color. I've been going to her for about 4 years and have never once considered going to anyone else.

The stylist that work there are fine. The women that answer the phone are the most rude and classless bunch of women. They have zero customer service experience. If I were the owner I would clean house with the front end staff. Disgusting.

I went to Claudia to get a partial head of highlights. I went in with clear instructions of what I wanted with inspiration photos and videos of my own hair. The consultation seemed fairly pointless due to her saying she knew exactly what I wanted and just got started. I asked for a root smudge to avoid a grow out line which she wouldn’t do saying that once she was done the highlights they would grow out seamlessly. I made sure to emphasize that I wanted to keep it natural but just slightly touch up my hair with baby lights to brighten it up, instead she took me way blonder than the photos I showed her. I left the salon with hair that I didn’t ask for, but now that it has been a month since my appointment I can now see that my hair went from not what I asked for to just bad looking. My hair is damaged; the roots already look grown out, uneven, and it has bleed marks from the foils she did. Overall not a great experience.

Kidist is great! She really listens when I bring in a new style I'd like to try. I have very thick hair and she does an excellent job thinning it out so that it lays right. I've been coming to her for years!

Mady is the best stylist I’ve ever been to. She has given me numerous different services and has executed every one of them perfectly. She always listens, talks out ideas, and gives me realistic advice. I’ve never left unhappy, and she is always willing to work with me. I have been going to her for two years, and I will always go back! - Chelsea is an amazing esthetician and I always leave feeling super relaxed. She cultivates a calm and enjoyable environment, and makes sure my skin is happy and healthy. Once you get a facial, you will keep going back!

The worst hair color and cut ever. Rude from management to the stylist! And good luck calling and not getting hung up on. And good luck resolving any issues with the service because they will NOT help!

EDIT TO ADD: The owner responded below, so some context. 1) I can appreciate wanting your stylists to be honest about their skill level, but I shouldn't have been booked for a Designer tier stylist (their second rank) who wasn't experienced enough to use clippers. The person who booked the appointment also should have asked questions about the type of haircut I wanted if the stylists are not all able to do very basic skills. 2) The owner mentioned I wanted a "zero fade", which was not what I asked the stylist to do. I would have appreciated if she'd tried to work with me on alternatives if she truly could not use clippers *at all* as she said. I ended up going to Great Clips and getting the hair cut I wanted, tipped 133% and still came in under the base price of the stylist they booked me with at Avanti. Save your time and money. --ORIGINAL POST-- Showed up for my appointment and showed them the pretty simple pixie cut I wanted and the stylist told me she doesn’t know how to use clippers. They tried to reschedule me for one in several hours with a more expensive stylist for a BASIC skill. Absolute waste of time.

I have been going to Avanti since 2015 when they were in High Point and followed them to Greensboro when they consolidated. I had the Magic Sleek treatment done yesterday and I love it!! I used to get the Chi treatment (which was great too) but this one is all natural and no wait time to wash hair! Gary did it and he was great! His whole team is wonderful and I love the atmosphere. Will always book with Avanti for my hair needs.

It was my first time coming to Avanti. Madyson did so good that I was shocked at how good my hair looked at the end. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. She is an amazing stylist!! I couldn’t have asked for a better haircut/style! definitely will be having Madyson do all of my future cuts

Mady was truly great! She was knowledgeable, fun and made me feel at ease. I came in wanting bouncy layers after not having my hair cut for over a year and she killed it!! Can’t wait to go back for color.

Today was my first visit to this salon and it was quite a treat. The owner, Gary, gave me a cut/color and did a phenomenal job. He is extremely knowledgeable and it is obvious that he takes pride in his establishment. He took his time even though I was his last client and I greatly appreciated his attention to detail. This salon uses high quality products and the other stylists I observed took their time as well in order to create the best experience possible. The atmosphere is relaxing and I look forward to returning. They are a little pricier than surrounding salons, however, this salon has employees that receive regular training so they are comfortable with new hair techniques and/or processes which is very important in this industry. Highly recommend!
