I am posting this review a day after my son's hair coloring and cut debacle. Initially, I was going to have Avenue Salon color his hair but this lady convinced me to let her cut his hair. I wanted a simple fade for his sides and she stated, "I have 30 years in and fading is the first thing that she learned" (paraphrasing). After his shower I noticed just how bad she cut him. He is cut badly over his face and neck. We will never go back. I wish I could add these pictures.

Took my daughter for the first time and she was cut by Michelle. I would tell the lady what I wanted her to do with my child's hair and she would turn and look at my daughter and ask if that was what she wanted in total disregard to what me the parent was telling her to have done. Also, she completely didn't do what I showed her how to cut my daughter's hair. It ended up being waaaay shorter and nothing at all like the picture I showed her and also it has to be fixed due to being uneven in alot of places. Michelle took maybe 20-30 minutes to perform her service from taking her to get washed to when the cut was over. And who charges $65 for a teen hair cut and uses the lazy method of using electric clippers to stack a bob, she really needs to get refreshed in properly cutting hair and customer service. My daughter was crying in the car when we left and we both decided we will never visit this salon again. We will resume going down to Westheimer to have my normal hair dresser do her hair when I decide that I will not cut it myself.

I made an appointment for my mom for a haircut with Michelle. Michelle did a wonderful job with my mom’s hair. My mom left feeling beautiful and happy with her haircut. Michelle definitely listened to what my mom wanted and made sure that she was happy before leaving the chair. Overall, a wonderful experience. Would recommend to anyone. Definitely coming back.

After moving to Katy, I was looking for a new hairdresser for the first time in 15 years. I took a chance with Avenue Salon and met Michelle. She is professional, funny but most importantly caring. She truly cares about her clients. It’s much more than just a haircut and color. I’m so thankful for such a wonderful environment to get pampered. The staff is amazing. You will not be disappointed.

I have been going to Michelle for 17 years! She is absolutely fantastic. Even when I moved to Austin for a few years, I still made the trip to Katy to see Michelle. It is very difficult to find a stylist that not only is an excellent cutter, but also does an amazing job on highlights and color. I get compliments all the time on my hair and it's thanks to Michelle!

Michelle absolutely butchered my grandmother's hair. She must have been in an awful mood that day, because the last time she went there her hair turned out alright. I wouldn't normally post this since it's just a haircut, but there's nobody else to really yell about this awful experience. My grandmother is way too old to just be "growing her hair out again" when someone butchers it like this. And when she tried to tell Michelle that she was not pleased, the woman had the audacity to still ask for a tip. Now my grandmother has to go to work with this hair, and she works in the public sector. Like I said, this must have been a really bad day for her to take out her frustration on my grandmothers hair, but we certainly won't be giving any if our business to this establishment after this experience.

I asked for a certain style but she said I didn't need to do it that way she only wanted to blow dry and not use curling iron. She was rude and after she finished cutting my hair she blew it everywhere then wanted to know if I had dogs because I had dog hair on me. Yes I have puppies but my blouse had just came from the cleaners with no dog contact. It was my hair. Then she cut it so short I have sections sticking up and bangs look terrible. I'm 70 years old and going to granddaughters wedding looking not to good. I'll not go back I'll drive across town to my other operater.

My hair did not turn out how I wanted it. The color I ended up with turned out was ok but I feel like my hair definitely got damaged. The color was NOT what I wanted and the cut was not good. I would not go back.

I can’t say enough about Michelle. My hair was a total mess when I walked in. She takes her time every time I go. She fixed the color. She does great on highlights . You can get your nails done while she is processing your hair. The environment is very relaxing. I would highly recommend !
