Running late per usual is very unprofessional. Please stop scheduling appointments at 7:30 am when you know you are not going to be available and ready to go at 7:30am. My daughter likes getting her hair braided sometimes by one of the Braider here but if this continues to happen she will no longer be a client. And if you already know you’re going to be running late give the client a call as courtesy.

I was recommended this hair salon by a friend, and I absolutely love it! I've had my braids in since the end of August and am planning to switch up the style soon. However, I did have my edges redone recently for a friend's wedding, and they turned out perfect. The staff is friendly and efficient. I’m thrilled with the results and will definitely be returning as my go-to braiding salon. I am very pleased with the outcome!

I just left. I have my favorite braider here but will not say because I don’t want you guys over booking her lol. I love this place. They don’t braid tight, they follow instructions (most places don’t). Very accommodating. Will forever get my hair braided here. About 10% higher than most braiding places.

Great Experience. I came in for some Alicia keys braids with a Twist//challenge (lace strip- lace in the front to cover my edges) and Denise executed my Style omg I’m so Satisfied . These are the best braids I’ve ever had. And So happy with my End results! Thank you again for the warm welcome . Denise even offer me some of her food while taking a break . 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I sent a video of the style I wanted and when I say she did it exactly like the video I was so happy with my results definitely coming back they were so sweet and she doesn’t braid to tight but she braids just right if yk what I mean lol but over all loved everything thank yall

I use to go here when I was a kid and I just found out they are still open and made an appointment and let’s just say i absolutely LOVE my hair!! They were fast and just as sweet as i remember❤️ 10/10

I just returned from a 7 day cruise and the way my two week Marley twists look like it’s been in for a month is disappointing. Also, the first time I’ve had to pick lint out of my braids when I wrap my braids every night. I’ve been previously impressed with my services with Awa, but first time getting Marley twists will not get this style again.

I called today at 10:00 and was told I could get an appointment today. I live 1.5 hours away and they waited on me. They did exactly what I wanted. I am very pleased and I’m already on my way back home. I will definitely be back! The price is affordable as well.

Awa African Hair Braiding is composed by a professional team of braiders. They are doing a good job, with original styles and all that in a good vibe. I was there with my daughter 2 weeks ago. They did her hair and until now she is still asking me when we gonna go back there. She was very happy. We will return there for sure...

I was in a bind last minute and needed to get my hair done. I spoke with Deborah who was able to fit me in first thing in the morning. I mentioned that i had to work in the afternoon and they assured they could finish in time. When I got there Ines helped me and she was amazing! She was quick, polite, and efficient. She overall gave me more than I expected and I love my hair! I will definitely be coming back to book with these ladies.

Loved my braids. Literally were PERFECT! I just moved to the Charlotte area and was hesitant but they were more than perfect and so professional! The braids were knotless and soo long literally to my knees! Will def return!!

Went to AWA African Hair Braiding today, and got a “DO” Done!!! Yolanda was amazing, very sweet and Kind. It was a very pleasant vibe. Louise was so nice and communicative. 5 stars isn’t enough to rate. It was definitely worth the hour drive and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend
